Half-Life Hazard Course Maps on Alpha 0.52 Engine
Running Hazard Course (Training) maps of Retail Half-Life on Alpha 0.52.
How to do it?
First, you must "downgrade" the version of the Hazard Course maps.
Copy them from their original directories to Alpha's valve/maps folder.
(every map that has t0a0 and same name with suffixed letters)
Use any hex editor, open those maps and replace their first two bytes "1E" with "1D", then save them.
Now run Half-Life Alpha, type in
map t0a0
in console to start the map. Change t0a0 to t0a0a (b,c,d) to load the next map as it will fail to make a proper transition between these maps.

Managed to patch it myself although there were pre-patched versions. All you need is to run the batch file named "Half-Life Console" in order to start the game. Apparently recording to and playing from the same HDD (5400 RPM) wasn't a good idea
Why do you keep CZ-maps if you use CS 1.6 player models and hostage models? The Campaign Mode is broken. The mp_autoteambalance is 1 by default. This causes the bots to switch teams. But this is not supposed to happen in the Campaign Mode. This can be fixed without recompiling the sources. The Radar in the Campaign Mode is broken. It shows HUD-sprites instead of the Radar. The hostages cannot crouch or use ladders but the bots don't know it. And so they go to vents or to sewers after taking hostages. The ladders can be fixed by AMXX-plugin Prometheus. If at least one hostage from four hostages is dead the hostages are not saved. Although in CS 1.6 you win if you save more than half of hostages.
Interesting, none of them happens except autoteambalance in the Singleplayer mode. I suspect this is a ReGameDLL bug, and I can't modify it anymore since I lost all of my sources due to HDD crash. May I learn what kind of system you are playing on? I tested this in both Windows 7 and 10 and it seemed okay for me.
It was meant to be a recreation of Condition Zero's retail version in modern Steam version. If you watch "Condition Zero 1.0" videos, you'll see what did I try to accomplish.
