I was watching Aging Wheels bus video, and just thought of this bus project and so sad I missed this when it came out! I hope you’re doing well! You’re clearly not obligated to do anything for a bunch of strangers, but I hope you make an update video! This was awesome! That face you made at 6:48 reminds me of my feeling working on my car, my house, etc, and you fucking rock. That’s the face of someone so determined and excited for what’s to come.

It's very cool watching your process and having you narrate on top of that! A friend of mine and I are also planning a bus build to travel the country in, so seeing your determination is quite motivational for me!

You go, girl! I bought a small steel boat last year and the amount of rust I had to scrape off was insane! I was also totally new to it all and didn't even think to wear goggles ( stupid! ) the first time I took my steel brush underneath my little vessel. Well... One week later and I still found small specks of rust in my hair and even on my eyes, yuck! Rust is pain :) But I ended up dealing with it in a very similar manner to you and now I've been enjoying the waters here in the Netherlands this past year! :D Keep up the good work! And keep us posted when you can ^^

Wow, that was a LOT of work. Congratulations! If you spread the word through friends-of-friends-of that you need some metal work, I wonder if you might find someone who's happy to bring their welding rig and some scrap metal over for a weekend as a favor. Though times have changed since my grandfather knew people in the trades and could get a guy to use his end-loader to dig the foundation for our house on a spare weekend...

This is so cool! My little project car is from 2004 and the Indiana rust is just a perpetual nightmare so I can only imagine how bad it must have been on such a large vehicle. Can't wait to see this thing done!

I think I said to you on the previous video comments, when I started doing vaguely serious work on cars I knew *nothing*. Many years in I still don't know all that much, but I've found that you can achieve a lot of stuff through a combination of reading, watching videos, asking questions and just sitting there puzzling stuff out.

I've struggled with depression on and off since high school. After a bit of a delay, now I'm finally at the end of my bachelors, staring my future in the eyes and I'm honestly scared as hell. Some days I don't know what my goals really are, and other days it seems perfectly clear to me. Going from days knowing that I can't to the days where I know that I can. There always seems to be a down after every up, but that works both ways. And I try to remember that. Keep moving forward, towards something, towards anything, and you'll see better days. Always remember that. I'm coming out of a down period right now personally, and I can only hope this up lasts. I wish you the best, Kait. You've got this.

I'm twice your age, and I once had a lot of plans, but not so much anymore. It's good to have goals, but it's better to keep them flexible. Otherwise, you'll miss out on some really good stuff. Also, existential dread never really leaves. You just learn to see the wave coming, and to keep your head above water.

I resonate with all of this. I'm 30 and I still feel similar feelings. But it does get easier with time. The only thing I've learned is that I need to be kinder to myself. Good luck! I'm very excited for you.
