Rachel Moran speaks eloquently about the industry in her work: Paid For - www.goodreads.com/book/show/24724603-paid-for .This important book 'deglamorizes' the sex trade and speaks the truth about the vast majority of sex workers. It's NOT a life of riches and luxury that simply helps men with their sexual needs as the industry would have young women believe. It's a nightmarish way of life providing degrading sex acts with men who see these women as subhuman. Most sex workers have few other options in order to feed their families. They suffer horrific injuries and typically become addicted to drugs and alcohol to cope. So, it's disturbing to hear in your presentation how men who suffer from a lack of touch and intimacy should seek out sex workers to alleviate their suffering. Because we only hear from the 'happy hooker' types of sex workers, it's easy to ignore the millions upon millions of women and girls and even babies who suffer daily at the hands of men. Sex work is anything BUT the sacred intimate experience that God intended it to be. And it's getting far worse, with Only Fans making it look easy to engage in this type of work. The solution to male issues with lack of intimacy is to transform our culture from patriarchal values of male entitlement to sex and women as subservient to men into a more egalitarian set of values that treat the sex act as one of mutual respect and love where it would be unthinkable to purchase another human being to use them for sex. It's a harrowing read but necessary for people to know to truly understand how diabolical the exploitation of women, men and children is today. She promotes the Nordic Model which criminalizes men who pay for sex - and often abuse the sex workers with absolutely no accountability. It's the ONLY industry where one human being can beat, rape, torture with impunity - all because it's PAID FOR. Money seems to eliminate the possibility of criminal liability. Why? So, please understand that the sex industry is not about sex. It's about money. It's not about meeting men's needs. It's about exploiting both men and women, but mostly women, and children for profit. It's about the commodification of human beings.
