During a Seafloor Mapping and Tsunami Runup Survey Expedition by the Tonga Geological Services in collaboration with Professor Shane Cronin, Volcanologist from the University of Auckland on the 15th October 2022, an ongoing eruption undetected by satellite but now captured on site through drone technology.

24 hours after the Hunga Volcano Eruption on the 15 January 2022 at Kanokupolu Village.
