Can I wire this straight to a plug?
Has anyone considered put a check valve there? Like the same for an air pump?
Thank you for the in depth videos!
Do some skinks separate from their tales?
Yes but not as often as other lizards I've caught some without them dropping their tail but I know they do because I've seen them do it
Good idea with the shrink tubing! However, I can also recommend very brushable or sprayable liquid rubber instead of the clear varnish! The stuff with one or two coats over the upper electronics. I also painted the edges of the sensor board with liquid rubber ;)
Did you apply electrically insulated thermal paste to the 662K voltage regulator? Did it heat up noticeably after wrapped up into the thermo retractil plastic? It makes me uneasy on the approach. Will try to waterproof a case instead for mine. Thanks for the advice on grounding the outer shield of the wire. Probably for the best. And removing the grove header is a good idea to minimize interference. Not sure if the internal stability of the reading is accurate enough for the extra work to be noticeable though, is it?
Pure Gold, thanks for sharing such a simple and effective approach. This fixed all my problems. For a little more control over the hole size I ended up adding a barb/barb coupling and drilling a hole in the middle of it. Thank you so much
What wire size ?
is it possible to make this kind of valve to normally open?
You are my personal hero lol. I can't tell you how long I've been tinkering with my setup
How to make it😊
LFG frens!
Yeah....I wouldn't put the hole at the top of the hose unless you want water spraying out of the top. Put the hole on the bottom or side so it spits it back into the res.
Thanks for video
Hello, do the size of connectors matter
i tried to wire a larger pump up like this, but i burnt the switch out right away. do you have something showing proper wiring?
Great stuff Adosia team! Nice work
Coloca legenda em português BR, por favor!
Thats some cool innovation going on here 👏🏽. I don’t possess the technical skills, but I see broadly what you are working towards.
Hope you guys do really well. Looks extremely interesting although I must admit to having limited technical knowledge of what your working towards, I kind of understand from a more broader sense.
You saved my life ;-). Thank you
👍😁
"Promo SM"
That's one heck of a mvp
Congrats!!!! Well done on the project and on this excellent close out video
Adosia run to 01 USD ✈ 2025.
Great video
Does it matter which wire is on the left and which one is on the right on the connector, i.e. is the order of the red and white wires important?
I have the same question. Do you find an answer?
Can it work for 8 hours straight? How's many days it will last
You’re a life saver
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice job all!
Found 3 skink eggs today!
Would this work with a fixed pvc line?
Just installed a inline one way check valve ( 1/4 inch duckbill valve) discharge on pump), work just great!
Looks like a cool project. Do you have any recent updates?
What's the amps or watts on these guys? What size fuse do you use on a single one?
I'm using a 30 gallon trash bin as a reservoir. I have a 90 degree elbow at the top. I poked a small hole just below the fitting and viola! She works like a charm. Thanks for this tip!!!
Lol crazy, James Bond growing the 🔥 I’ve been hunting for weeks Tryn to find a motion detection for my backyard to protect my plants , that doesn’t send false alarms and the alarm in my house is loud I can use power to run it but can’t find anything to do it I have pir motion detectors but I get false alarms and I got a camera but it gives false alarms too just by the shadow of the sun moving I got a newer EZVIZ wifi camera which works good for no false alarms cause of human detection but the alert on my iPhone is way to quite n I miss the alert and the range of motion detection needs another 20ft I’m frustrated at this point and spent a small fortune and crap that don’t work Any advice?
You might also want to protect the capacitive plates unless you're dead sure that they're weatherproof. I had a sensor (it was a white one) that had its solder mask peel off and exposed the copper plates, which is a definitely a problem. So I wouldn't hesitatr to cover them with a bit of lacquer on in the worst case, plasti-dip them. Your sensor reading will be altered in the process but if you can live with calibrating your sensors differently, that should be fine. PS: the 0-5V output of those sensors don't translate into an actual measure so I'm kinda moving away from them and thinking about making my own
Thanks
Your very kind to share your knowledge when you also sell them pre weatherized on the web page. Your price is very fair but unfortunately they indicate “out of stock”. I’m in a hurry so I had to order the “ingredients” via Amazon.. again thanks for the recipe, I intend to do the same procedure to my D1 minis.
lovely system though, for the people who are afraid who will water the plants when they are not in home. Hope we are invested in adosia project will definitely be fruitful for the people of the world. God bless you all team of Adosia, keep building,,,keep growing .
My base unit is not broadcasting the wifi SSID Adosia.xxxxx. So I cannot get it connected. Can you suggest what I should try? Thanks
Off to the side will keep it from spraying up (assuming something more than a pin hole)
Your the best! Thank you
