I don’t think Ian appears on this track at all, most likely a sample of his actual bass and being played with a sequencer or a standard midi keyboard. Ian could definitely play it though. The thing about bands like priest is that busy melodic bass lines just wouldn’t work. Priest is about loud guitars, screaming vocals, and loud drums. Bass serves as the effective bedrock in which everyone else falls on in this band. If he was truly that bad he wouldn’t be in the band.

I swear both tracks are midi, even the "real bass". sounds too uncannily unlike any bass guitar I've ever heard, unless they just gated it super hard or something? Weirdest bass track I've ever heard.

Even though Glen’s solo is longer and probably the most difficult to play in metal, i think Kk’s solo is equally good for the amount of chaos it has in that short amount of time in comparison and also i perefer KK’s tone. Sounds very Thrashy
