1975 f250 Highboy Restoration part 1
มุมมอง 73K8 ปีที่แล้ว
My 1975 F250 Highboy that me and my son have been restoring over the last year and a half. It is a California truck that I found on craigslist. it was buried in the middle of a field. Trees had grown up around it and it hadn't been touched in over twenty years. We took it hope thinking it would be a simple job but.... man was I wrong. Rats had built nests, ate through all of the wiring, and des...
Someone tell me differently, I thought all hiboys had a divorved transferase. i know mine did.
I like the way you painted the front inner fender wells to look like the original galvanized. Most every restoration I see they always paint them black.
WOW! Nice Restoration. I really like the upgrade to the power steering and with A/C! Now I really miss my 76 F250 High boy that I used to have.
What size motor is in your truck
In 1977.5, Ford began attaching the transfer case directly to the transmission, which required a shorter front driveshaft, and allowed Ford to have the proper clearance to lower the truck, and it’s center of gravity. www.blueovaltrucks.com/ford_articles/the-ford-highboy-f-250/#:~:text=The%20term%20%E2%80%9CHighboy%E2%80%9D%20has%20been,conversions%20of%20a%202WD%20chassis.&text=The%20end%20result%20was%20a,a%20higher%20center%20of%20gravity. The F-250’s built from 1977.5 and later are referred to as a “Lowboy” because they sit lower than the 1977. www.ford-trucks.com/articles/ford-highboy-definitive-guide/
Very nice job.
beautiful truck what color is that ?
Sweet ride
Do you still have this truck and how long did it take for you to do this please comment back thank you for this video it came out beautiful
Do you still have this truck or No please comment back
That is definitely not a high boy. "High boys" had a divorced Transfer case
Very cool! Can’t wait to get mine to look like yours.
What headers did you go with? I like those
Look like L@L headers. I put a pair on my 71 f250.
Outstanding job!!!!! Thank you for saving her. She needs to be driven everyday. I think with all that work and love into it. Its priceless. And if you ever wanted to sell it. Take her down to Texas. I bet it be sold with in a hour. In my Sci-Fi book. The person who is based on me. Has a 1968 4x4 that was bought in Houston. And his 6x times grandfather. Who starts a aerospace company. Stockpiles the parts. To keep the truck as new as possible. And the truck is passed on from Father to son. With a promise to keep her. As new as possible. With a few mods allowed. If I found a F-150 but the motor is gone. But the body in excellent condition. And I had a 2020 totalled F150. 4X4 I would use the wrecked 150 as a source of parts. And put the modern engine and transmission. Sure some fabrication might be needed. But it sure would be awesome!!!!!
Beautiful Truck💯 I love the classic ford pickup trucks nice and Mean looking💪🏽
Absolutely beautiful truck wish it was mine good luck would it comment back if you are ever going to sell it
Sorry but that truck doesn’t deserve the highboy name... doesn’t have a divorced T-Case from the looks of it 🤷♀️
Very nice pickup!!!
Color please?! Beautiful truck nice work!👌
True Highboy's should have divorced transfer cases
Hi I love you truck and your work, i have a 1975 Ford f250 in restoration process, my truck have a 390 FE motor, do you know the Headers brand and part # ? and the exaust too, thanks you so much
Not really the wood won't fly into your eyes I know he has done this forever
Right on!
Espero que não me levem a mal. Awesome work!! I Love it!! I am grateful that you are sharing!!
Very nice ride 👍. I give you full permission to build me one
Nice . I did a 1978 f250 in 93 it's looks like the same color got paint code off a Dodge Dakota ....yours ??
What is the name of that color?
No safety glasses?
really nice job
How much you spend??
Awesome job on an awesome truck. What exhaust is that and do the tires hit the headers? I have a 73 F250 4x4 428 and she needs new headers, I wouldn't mind getting the "outside the frame" type. Who makes those headers/
Karl Jay. They do hit I wish I would have gotten a different offset rim
His parts won't fit your FE. Mad dog made some fenderwells a few years ago for highboys but has since discontinued them. Afaik there's none available. Have to build them yourself
did you use a flat tappet or roller set up?
What shad of blue is that
Very nice truck! Do you mind me asking what the color code is for that blue?
Very nice truck. Where did you get the tank?
my boy friend is working on his 1975 f-250 and is having wiring problems. The starter wont disengage, and moving the shifter engages it. What do you think he should do?
Lexie DeTienne did he look into replacing the starter solenoid. Quick fix if that is indeed the problem. Normally $20 at any local parts store. For future reference LMC truck had great detailed catalogs full of parts for your truck,
Looks and sounds awesome !!!
That is Soo Nice! It was a good one before the Resto. I really liked the incab firewall pics, and well documented.
what lift and tire size? awesome truck by the way
Overall it's an awesome truck but I can't help but think that the transmission and transfer case need a divorce.
wow absolutely a beautiful stunning truck!!! love them old Fords
where did you get the steering column I've looked for one with column shift and cannot find them
PLEASE REPLY what rims?????
