EWIKON supported the #Jaketa project in cooperation with renowned partners. This foldable travel clothes hanger was developed by students of the design programme at the Università Iuav di Venezia (thanks to one of the students, Tommaso Trevisol, for the 3D animation of the injection moulding process). The #Jaketa project is the winner of a design competition with the aim of developing a useful, durable and sustainable plastic part that is efficiently produced by injection moulding. The injection mould was manufactured by mould maker UNIform srl, while EWIKON supplied the hot runner technology as a complete hot half. High-precision valve gate technology with linear servo drives and powerful motion CONTROL control technology is used. Among other things, this makes it possible to demould one of the components directly from the hot runner side.
In addition, EWIKON smart CONTROL process monitoring ensures the continuous optimisation of mould, hot runner and machine parameters to guarantee maximum process reliability and energy efficiency.
