hello can you connect an instrument and loop that or is it only working with microphone?

How do you record longer dan one round? For example a schort song.

I am having a hard time recording drum loops from a speaker. When I tap the circle to stop the loop I get a "clunk" type of sound and the loop is ruined. Any ideas?

Excellent tutorial. Keep making videos. Your voice is clear and you explain very well. Silly question but you said that in 4-4 the first beat is the heaviest. What if you want to alternate which beats are heavy?

Sometimes I open an old session and the tempo has completely changed.....adjusting it doesnt help. I wonder what settings I should change. I want no syncing. A loop can be a sample or have a completely different tempo. So help, please advice...

anarchypanarchy With a suitable audio interface you can record your guitar, voice etc.

only when you playback through ipad speakers. better to use with headphones :)
Great job! Just bought Loopy and was a bit overwhelmed - but your tutorial was the perfect introduction and helped me get past that first hurdle!
Can you only Record 6 Tracks?
Elina Baker nope! You can adjust how many tracks populate on the screen with the settings tab... just checked and it has options to show 6, 8, 9 or 12 tracks on the screen to use.

The actually Loopy help site has "TODO" in the "Getting Started" section, followed by some arcane information about something called "midi bindings." It makes sense to aim at the serious punter, but the newbie can be left in the dust. Your explanation and demonstration was really a gift. And the background, a green towel, was a brilliant and simple solution. Not to mention that in the reflection you are easy on the eyes.

Do you know how to raise the volume on that last vocal you did at the end? I know how to raise the volume for the loops, how about the recording part?
The recording itself couldn‘t be worked on in Loopy - but you can share this with other apps like e.g. AudioShare were you can normalize it or export ir to a DAW like Cubasis to work on it

Complicated is a understatement. Which isbwhy it sat on my iPad for 2 years. Fallon on the tonight show made it look easy. However once the time is invested, it quite amazing what this app can do. Thank you for the help Karin.

The merge thing is incredibly helpful. I reckon its what makes loopy stand out from the rest? Can this be done on a boss rc300??
For goodness sake some of the comments are unbelievable. Some folk want spoon feeding. Its a brilliant tutorial for an app thats very tricky to use x
