I Attempted A Boss Rush In Paper Mario
มุมมอง 9Kหลายเดือนก่อน
By using cheat codes I challenged myself to beat all bosses in Paper Mario The Thosuand-Year Door in a Boss Rush. That means I will back to back fight all bosses after another until they are all down. On top of that I also implemented a few additional rules which I will cover in the intro. Will I be successful or will I suffer, let's find out...

Also yes flurrie is nowhere near as bad as people say. As you said most enemies are weak to gale force, even late game enemies. I personally don't use lip lock too often but yeah it's pretty strong.
Kid yoshi is easily the most powerful. He has a built in power bounce in his basic attack making him absolutely cracked with even the littlest damage increase. He can shrink strong enemies with mini egg to prevent them from hurting mario too much. And let's not forget stampede, wich targets everything on screen and is equally as broken as his base move when it comes to attack increases.
He truly is the MVP, especially with multibonk and power bounce both being somewhat nerfed for the remake, yoshi's move is much more consistent
Motion-controlled minigames require a Joy-Con controller and are not available when playing online. Motion-controlled minigames are not compatible with Nintendo Switch Lite or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, but button-controlled minigames can still be played when using these consoles/ accessories.
At least they adjusted it so it's not forced to be joy cons only anymore and give us options to play around with
If I don't 100% a game, or if I don't want to, there can one or more of these following reasons. -The 100% stuff only makes the experience worse -The game is bad -I am bad at the game. That said, even with the tedious travel I will 100% this.
Most tedious stuff is for sure the completion of recipes and the trouble center, good luck!
If this were an actual mission, this would easily be in the top 10 hardest Mario levels.
100%
Vivian low? Opinion discarded
Vivian only really got fiery jinx, coming in handy several times throughout the game. Then there is shade fist too, but both can be replaced by several other partner moves, especially with ultra ranks
@@Doomey. Fiery Jinx can do fun stuff with Power Lift which is arguably the best Super Move, Goombella/Mowz are severely offensively limited
@@DarkKirby14LP Agreed, especially with power lift attacking multiple enemies is really worth and in Super Rank only she is easily a top tier partner, but with ultra rank there are better alternatives to use in my opinion. Well Ms. Mowz obviously is trash lol. For Goombella she is limited to just aim for one enemy at a time but rally wink pushes her further up as 2 mario moves are insane.
It's hard to argue that ANYONE is better than Goombella for late-game. Rally is auto-best partner attack, especially with badges removing flower points needed. It's just giving Mario a second attack and he is defacto stronger than all partners.
Yoshi is definetly up there for being capable of dealing high damage to singluar or multiple enemies, but agreed Mario is by far stronger than any partner for obvious reasons thus making rally wink auto one of the best moves. Depending on the badge lineup you can make both work super efficiently.
@@Doomey. Gombella's multibonk can out damage yoshi's ground pound
@@maxwellh.4569 Indeed they are really equal, still I prefer Yoshi over Goombella as Yoshi's GP is FP free and guarantees for 6 hits, while Gombella can be either more or less hits especially with the 4th bonk being frame perfect now can be really rough
@@maxwellh.4569Yoshi's moves are free rally wink is not.
Goombella's tattle buff to always be able to check the tattle logs make it much better than peekaboo now This means you can always check fire/explosion immunities, attack, and defense for free in a given battle after you tattle the enemy once
If you're skilled enough you can mix in danger mario
How much fp is each move gonna take if you got and equiped all the fp saver and fp saver p badges? (All the ones you can get naturally in the game)
Naturally you can obtain 2 fp savers for both mario and his partners, so all moves would decrease by 2 fp when equipping them all
Hey that’s me in the beginning
Crazy, you're famous now!
Did you know that earth tremor, art attack, showstopper and supernova pierce defence and ignores dodgy, invisibility, etc
That's why we love special moves, they are always reliable
How is that hard?
Well it's part of a kaizo hack and requires tech and precision, if it wasn't hard everyone would be doing it, right?
@@Doomey. You made it look easy, though
@@Clonuigi Thanks!
@@Doomey. You’re welcome
yoshi is first? I have no idea how to use his ground pound, everytime I use it he bounces on the enemies like 4 times and nothing happens...
That's probably because his base damage is 1 so he will not harm any enemies with defense, that's why I used Power Plus P Badges combined with other attack buffs. And then he will be able to destroy literally anything
??? What do you mean nothing happens actually
Use power lift and then try
He means that most enemies after Chapter 3 have at least one defense, making Ground Pound useless, since when he uses it, he technically attacks in four separate bounces, each counting as a seperate amount of damage done, and that separate amount for each of the four bounces is 1 damage, meaning that the enemy will be able to add their defense of 1 or more to each separate bounce, not all of them at once .because of this, the defense defends the enemy from one damage point of the seperate bounces, and since the bounces do 1 damage each, they after subtracting 1 from every single one of the bounces, the final output of damage is zero. Thank you for listening to my ted talk, HOLY HELL DID I MAKE THIS LONG.😂@@bluerious5475
Yoshi has low base damage, he's intended to be used on enemies without defense. But badges that buff his attack power make him one of the best partners.
Bobbery is op against shadow queen when using the 9fp ability because it easily removes the hands
Bobbery is the true goat
You get better and cheaper results with multi bounce, but it really doesn’t matter too much what you choose.
Flower savers can help
Or just use fiery jinx that’s what I did
@@twiastethats what i was gonna say
Underrated ahh
Much appreciated! ^^ We'll get there
@@Doomey. you will king
Just saw this and of course I am the first one you gotta name 😂 I mean I'm most likely one of the only subscribers that you met/know (somewhat) irl so I suppose it makes sense
Haha, that plus you subbed before I started uploading much really
ye I’m with remake here
is like i hate the og game enough because i can't even beat Serena beach episode one
Real, some og missions were challenging already
@@Doomey. i finally did it and now i got to do episode 2 which i got so mad that i closed the game and i'm on switch
I never gave him any money. I ignored him.
Poor Lumpy
I didn’t even know he existed
@@Molo_da_boi That's fair, I didn't know about him for the longest time either
This is how I found out that you can have over 1000 coins in the remake
It's such a great quality of life improvement, now we're no longer consistently stuck at 999
I call this mission, "Red Coins in the Construction Zone".
Og, I like the simplistic beginning to it more.
Both but i prefer the 8 bit sounds but i like the jazzy start more than the og start up.
Bro... Simplemente imposible xD
remake for sure i love the jazz band agrenment and feels more upbeat and grand
Very interesting concept bro !! I was wondering what were the cheat codes u used to make this challenge possible. Btw you got a sub 👍
Appreciate it! ^^ I used ttyd practice codes allowing to warp around and modifying marios level ups and badge lineup
this is cool, but it did feel like you were just superguard cheesing it. Good job though. Personally i wouldnt have used jumpman
Thank you! I may should try adding a no superguard rule next time to make it more startegy dependent
That's awesome, good job
For a boss rush idea, what could have been done is that you start at the default level and when you battle a boss, you level up and can only increase 1 thing. HP, FP, BP. as you battle the bosses, the more decisions you have to make. It then leaves the early game seemingly just a bit of a joke, and would help increase it's ability of being an interesting challenge.
5:10 also, Rawk Hawk, the 2 Cleft Bros and Bowser count as bosses in their own right (if you count Big Blooper, Gus, and Lord Crump's first battle at the beginning of the game, then those 2 fights should also count.)
I like the idea and it would especially make the earlier bosses more of a threat too. Also for why I skipped the Glitz Pit mini bosses is that I couldn't find a way to warp myself to those fights without messing up my stats
@@Doomey. You replied to two comments ... Smart
the remake is better however the og wins beccause it actually fits rogueport
The remake just sounds so much more alive
@@camp5215 yes but it doesn’t fit And if it doesn’t fit, it’s not gonna be the best
Yup, I've found a gem, this channel is gonna go far ❤
Thank you so much, it really means a lot :)
Is all or nothing p in the game? I don't remember anything like that being there.
That's a slight mistake on my end I haven't noticed It does exist but is unused in the final game whoopsies
whats that font? i am curious for it
That's Cancun, also used in the original TTYD logo This way I found it and used it ever since
Mod?
Yes, it's a kaizo edit called "Super Doot Sunshine" by warspyking. Infos in the description
I am no expert in this game so i got a question, how do you tripple jump by jumping twice? 0:57 ish.
Using the hover nozzle has the same effect as jumping, so I used hovering to gain extra distance which was my first "jump" from there I just needed two more
@@Doomey. Thank you, as a casual gamer this will help a lot.
@@grevlingninja4607 You can also triple jump out of a spin, whether it be an actual spin jump, or spinning during a normal jump!
@@reddodeado301 I'm aware, but thanks c:

good video
Great vid! I'm gonna make myself a little run with this! A little fact, btw, probably wouldnt move it,but you can run through the thin walls in the hidden town with the vanish cap, making it waaaay easier.
I was looking forward to the content but the goofy voice thing just... no :/
I mean you can always just turn off the audio and or enable subtitles
There's strange short pauses in the middle of your sentences...
Maybe I forgot to cut portions of silence from my audio, it's a long video so mistakes are more easy to occur or be overseen, I'm sorry about that.
Fun video, some strange choices. For example, Big Boo’s Balcony should be imo way higher. Not only do you have to find the place to wall kick, jumping up to the roof to pick up the star with the horrible camera angle is not so straightforward. In fact, I’d rank it as the hardest star on Big Boo’s Haunt, by quite a huge margin in fact.
Thank you, honestly that's valid the camera around the roof area is really something else and I didn't credited that part, that's my bad.
The thing with mario releasing himself from the grababble cieling in toxic cave is due to invisible walls.
I'm glad I got this in my recommended. Good job :>
Much appreciated, thanks! ^^
The tiny huge island 100 coins was such a pain on my last playthrough, finally someone mentions how hard it is
