Hast thou ever wander'st the halls TH-cam, and stumbled upon something profound.. Oh, no? Well this is it.
Joel Plaskett - Through & Through & Through
Lyrics:
Im the Berlin Wall, Im a communist
Youre a wrecking ball in a summer dress
Youre the horizon line, Im the last sunset
I might be going down but Im not set yet
Im as white as a ghost, digging foolish gold
I will man my post but I wont do as Im told
Ive got a purple heart from a bloody war
I cant take it anymore, more, more
They say that good things come to those who wait
But if you snooze then you lose
So dont hesitate
Outta sight, outta mind, outta luck, outta wine
Dont you say that Im out of my fucking mind
Ive been talking trash but it aint my fault
Every time I move somebodys in my spot
Youve got nowhere to go
I know, I know, I know
Its only you and me
But good things come in three
You be April Stevens, Ill be April Wine
You be Israel, I will be Palestine
Come on Teach Me Tiger, come on and show me tricks
Let me take my time and take a couple lazy licks
Are you feeling blue?
Through & through & through
Where we find you now?
Around, around, around
All the dirty blondes, playing blue-eyed soul
You wont hear our songs on your radio
Every note we sing cant be solid gold
Every boy cant be Romeo
They say that good things come
To those who wait
Good things come
If you take the bait
In a rummage sale
At the Sally Ann!
Everything is cheap
Love should last a life
Or at least a year!
But it lasts a week
Im the Berlin Wall
And that aint all!
Im a total mess
Youre a wrecking ball
Im a wrecking ball!
In a summer dress
Im the Berlin Wall, Im a communist
Youre a wrecking ball in a summer dress
Youre the horizon line, Im the last sunset
I might be going down but Im not set yet
Im as white as a ghost, digging foolish gold
I will man my post but I wont do as Im told

Track 12 from the original release of The Rankin Fmaily's 1993 album, 'North Country' Glad everyone has found and enjoyed this great tune through the years! This song is legendary... The cancer bats version is sooo amazing but mad respect to the original as well
Love this one! Thank you.
I've been to those Glencoe square dances, in the late 80s. And they were indeed a rockin good time. This is one feel good Rankin song!
wish I could sing this without getting tongue tied :>

sorry jimmy u really cant rap loll the vIIolIn at 0:27 & 1:12 though is Radical bravo yoL!
LOl still dont think there's a single Rankin song that's just awful they literally are legends all the lot of them, bless em and really great people I'll bet too and oh so talented, they make me laugh its like I want to find a song almost that they'd just suck at, but it's nyon impossible, good on 'em too, are some utterly fav of mines of course. They are quite simply put or if I was to put my description of them into one single word (and that'd not be fair since there's so much I can say about them, all good of course) and that word being like another youtube user said 'epic' sums them up pretty accurately in my downright honest opinion, love hearing their covers too they're amazing!
To lose this would be a crying shameee
God the float into verse...and the timing !
that beginning though, the percussionist was left alone after a hype beginning to get laughed at
That has it's uses! Anywhere there is a breathiser about......?
Awesome tune. Very Stonesy. Nice Bill Wyman baseline.
I just love this song :)

Come visit your cousin in Cambridgeshire England, and let us know when your playing!
Then DUUUUUUDE, publicize it, haha.
This deserves more views, it really does. More people need exposure to this stuff.
My great uncle is in this song, Little Johhny Dougal, love this song.. puts a smile on my face and makes me want to dance :)
Ammie Sue quite a title it is
Just an awesome song with great lyrics - a true talent!
Angus Hector was my great-grandfather.
Too bad our "Sally Ann" got moved from downtown to the North Side. Not easy to get to, no longer in "walking distance". That complaint out of the way about my city (lol)....Very catchy lyrics and music here - again:)!
But I did hear your song on the radio. The only line I remembered was "She's a wrecking ball in a summer dress." so that's what I punched in. Great Lyrics, you guys sound like The Trews.
I live in Glencoe. But it's the one in Oklahoma, not the original.
@activate124 Little late, but how did Vevo block this??
Stonned when they wrote thissss
I used to LOVE this song when I was about eleven. I played it over and over. Wow, that sounds really dorky lol. I still love it.
When I was eleven my music teacher insisted we sing it all day
@@zambeaz2050 I still insist.
Naaa I did not just see that
awsome memories come back whenever i hear it
which album is this off of?
Sounds a bit like Jerry Holland on the fiddle. Was he playing with the Rankins at the time? Can anyone confirm this?
Might have been Howie MacDonald, he played with them for a while.
@davidgreencorn i've always interpreted it this way. You should wait for something great or that you've wanted, and as soon as it comes, jump on it. On a side note, Joel Plaskett makes me proud to be Canadian
True Canadian music <3
My family is from Samsons Cove, Cape Breton! I miss that place so much!
Samsons Cove or Sampsons Cover Isle Madame? Either way, greetings from Arichat.
