    I did the crossover steering on my Dana 60 but still need to finish my ram assist unit. Turning on 37s is kinda like manual and that’s on road. ORD makes a sway bar disconnect kit for the crossover unit.

    • @DSRE535
      @DSRE535 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The m1009’s were 8 lug 3/4 ton I thought? But yes totally know if you’re not being crazy on it 10 bolts are fine for quite a while I’ve ran in before with 35s and i was fairly hard on them The biggest weakness I found was having an open rear differential spinning one tire and then the other tire catching and it would blow up the spider gears but other than that it did fine but I wouldn’t put any money into them, You can save up for bigger axles later They are stronger axle than you think, Don’t get me wrong you can break anything if you try hard enough but within reason they do good

    I tore down my engine for a winter do over and wasn't even considering doing the ports. You have converted me. Once I removed my valves, whatta you know, lumpy exhaust and intake tracts. I have the Dart Iron Eagle SS that were purchased on a money and time budget 5 years ago for my marine 383. All I did initially was a port match and knocked down some casting flash. I also needed to hog out the pushrod holes as you mentioned. So this go round I have all winter to finish them up well. Thank you for the play by play. It helps. These are my first time at porting so I am being careful. I spent a long time on the first exhaust port, but it went without hitting the seat. Hopefully there will be learning curve improvements!

Also if you are going to make more content, can you please turn your phone 90 degrees when you're recording so it's a full screen video? You would probably have over 1,000 subscribers by now if you recorded full screen videos. I just binge watched all of your videos and they were alright except for the narrow view record you did, I think that's why you didn't get very many thumbs up with some videos that had none. I got a set for my 350 in my C10. 9.5-1 comp and XE262 cam. RPM intake. It said you can use centerbolt covers with mod. What would that mod be?

    • @DSRE535
      @DSRE535 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good combination! On the summit heads they have a very large boss on the valve cover rails for running perimeter bolt valve covers now you either have to grind a portion of that boss away if you are using a factory style center belt cover or you're going to have to bend the flange on the inside of the valve cover I don't like doing it either one of those ways I now recommend now that if you want to run center bolt valve covers that you get a set that has a flat flange that goes around to seal on the valve cover rail which means aftermarket aluminum type fwiw
