I have a headcanon that the room Shepard is in right now is right under the Council chambers in the Citadel tower, i.e. right under the spot Saren kills himself.

This scene just give me "THE EPIC" vibe. Forcing us to think that we are nothing in this vast reality or nature

I'm not the first to point this out, but it's cool how the Illusive Man's death parallels Saren's fate in ME1. Both had their goals and ambitions exploited by the Reapers, ultimately being able to break free thanks to Shepard's influence even it means taking their own lives.

SPOILERS FOR ENDING • • • • • • The Blue is not the best because the Reapers stay and the Illusive Man can't control them, so how can Shepard. Yes it appears he controls them, but by how much? The Synchronization one is also terrible because it takes away the freedom of everyone and changes their minds. At the ending when it shows the Reapers and the two soldiers firing at the husks and the green flash happens they lower their weapons and appearance almost dead. The best choice is the Red because it gives freedom to all and does not change the minds of other. Yes the Geth and Reapers are destroyed, but all organic lifeforms are then given Free Will, which the other two choices do not allow. There is a forth choice, but its absolutely garbage. The developers truly were fools when it came the forth ending. SUMMARY If you were as hesitant as I was and did not make a decision for 30min and started asking others what you should go with. Then choose the Red decision (Anderson's). Trust me you will feel the most fulfilled by it.

In my opinion, this is the best ending. Control just seemed way too close to super bad in the long run seeing as how the Reapers could likely break free or the Shepard-AI could eventually come to the conclusion that the Cycle is necessary or something, and Synthesis just kept giving me serious Borg flashbacks. I kinda like to just headcanon that the Reaper AI/Starchild/Catalyst/whatever it was lied and only said the Crucible affected EDI and the Geth in an attempt to preserve itself.

It always makes me wonder: if the Citadel was repaired, where is Shepard?

To think the ending to the game was about "dark matter" which is what was destroying the universe and the reapers were harvesting life to look for a way to stop it.

Seriously examine this scene people and tell me the indoctrination theory isnt true. The illusive man is the reapers attempting to convince shepard that he can control them which is horsecrap. Anderson is the part of shepards mind that is resisting, reminding him the only way to kill the reapers is through destruction.

I found it interesting how the Catalyst didn't give Shepard an answer when he asked if there will be peace if he chooses synthesis for all life.

This scene, I feel, would be more effective if the "starchild" was not the child from the beginning of ME3, but instead looked like Shepard him/herself. Shepard was the biggest threat the Reapers had ever dealt with, as the starchild explained that his solution would no longer be viable, so, in my opinion, the AI should've looked like Shepard, as the child makes no sense in the first place.

I made like 1 renegade choice in some small conversation so I didn't get that option. I liked how ME1 handed points.

This should be canon, just because it was your fucking goal since the beginning, avoid any possibility of REAPER threat in the future, so destroy them, for all's sake, from organics to synthetics, who also didn't want them anymore (Legion said geths weren't taking that slaving bullshit anymore). I don't see how Control does it, because that much power can make someone change in a given time (and maybe for the worst) and all would be doomed like the beginning. Synthesis just illudes, because I don't see how it would be the climax of evolution, since the organic part is given to diversity and change, and reapers obsolete because of what? Seriously. And Shepard lives, I don't know how Shep would survive everything, but the ending choice certainly shouldn't kill him/her, since Shep *has* synthetic parts, but *is* not a synthetic, brain was originally his.

You have to have your paragon bar up pretty high, that is not a lie. However the key to unlocking those two selections is by insisting to the Illusive Man that the Reapers are in the wrong during every confrontation you have. These red/blue choices are hidden in 'Investigate' dialogue choices and any other side questions/statements besides the main ones. If you didn't get it the first time through and desperately want those choices, you'll have to start a new game and try again, I'm afraid. : (
