John Carpenter's The Thing is my all time favorite movie so I'm going with The Thing

Season 4 has its moments but overall is skipable. The first 3 are so strong i tend to only warch those 3. Troy & Britta made no sense. Shouldve been Troy & Annie since she had a thing for Troy & Jeff. Could've had a lot of fun with the triangle and had all three grow from it. Nothing comes from Britta dating Troy. Jeff does seem to be pushing himself and could work well. Maybe he had a chance to start up his own law firm or meet his dad he wanted to be a lawyer again to prove something. Pierce & Shirley are underutalized, and it stinks because they had a lot of growth in 3 seasons. Side note: Pierce shouldn't have died. Just get pulled into his cult further ir try to start his own; better yet. Make him lost at sea and not Troy. Abed & Annie felt mostly the same; but again, they had growth for 3 seasons and tend to feel like season 2 Abed & Annie. Dean worked well but needed City college dean as a foil. Chang becoming part of the group is fine, just no " Changnesia " storyline.

Sometimes nothing helps, even of you are in the right. This is the whole story. I'm out of good ideas. TH-cam removed my main channel for its 3rd copyright strike. The rub is that the 3rd strike came from a film thats been in the public domain for 56 years. Even worse TH-cam couldn't care less. I'm just burnt. I had started this channel as a side project and am now trying (in vein) to get it to be something thats even close to where my main channel was (34k subs). I know it's a small amount but it was huge to me. I for sure was pushing the copyright envelope theres no doubt. But it all can in at once on me - 2 & 1/2 strikes. As soon as that happened I reversed my engines 100%. I deleted extra content that I felt 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 be "bad" just to be sure. I wanted to ride out the 3 months & let those strikes fall off. I even went looking for content I knew was safe. I went to Public Domain Movies . net. This way I was sure to be safe & still have (maybe) some new content for my channel. After looking through a lot of old bad movies I never heard of I found one that I was surprised was there, Night of the Living Dead (1968). But I was being cautious. Just being on the site was not enough for me. I painstakingly combed the net to look into this. I found out everything about the movie including why it was in the public domain. So I obtained the movie & uploaded it. Within a few hours TH-cam pulled the movie, gave my a copyright strike (putting me within the threshold of 3 strikes) & removed my channel. I went through every process for appeal, the strikes them selves as well as the channel removal. I dotted all my i's and crossed all my t's. Counter Notifications correctly filled out & I had the law on my side. None of it mattered. Everything was denied and my main channel of 10+ years was gone. They won't even address the fact the movie is in the public domain or why they felt it warranted a copyright strike.

Hearing about Movie 43 creation... that would make an interesting plot! :D

I agree with you on everything, except bumi , i hated him , he was bitter and negative and mean , not optimistic and joyful, i think this change was part of making the show like GOT 😂 he also said you can't rely on anyone even your friends, but in the Original He said you need your friends

This just happened to me. I've never done anything wrong. I have like 12 subscribers! My TH-cam is for me. I was stressed out for hours trying to find a way to contact them. Then randomly after I finally was able to submit an appeal I was told 48hr wait. Not 2 minutes later I get an email saying upon review everything checks out. Account active again. No one even had time to look at it. This was your automation doing it's thing again! And they make it so hard to contact them!

And also, it's so weird they made Kyoshi act like aang ran away when he doesn't in this version. It makes sense Bumi wouldn't know but she absolutely would

40:10 why did they keep pakku’s but not sokka’s? Simple: what Sokka was saying actually had merit, whereas the northern water tribe’s sexism was more easily refutable. In 2024, sokka’s original lines would’ve been harder to portray badly, since the audience will likely agree with them more. Can refute, so remove.

11:05 what I find amazing is that in Society of the Snow, you can see their breath in the cold. Here, you can't. Someone pointed that out to me and I can't not look at that. They did it with that movie that was made so little time ago, why didn't they do it with a show with that big of a budget?

I saw the OG today and will watch the prequel to get somewhat of an understanding, but this was such a great ass review, I dig the amount of work that went into it as well! 💯

"We wanted to make the show more mature". - Failure at characterisation - Incapable of building a mystery or withdrawing informations for dramatic purpose - Cower to the word "subtlety" - "You can't just EXPLAIN your character in dialogue, this makes me feel ANGRY!" - Tell and never Show - Unnatural dialogue - Ignorance of shots and their meanings - Disdain to the cultural identity of the show, regarding accents, costumes and martial arts - Floppy music People say this is the Ember Island Play, but the play showed instead of tell, had better martial arts and effects, their music and sounds were awesome, and they succeeded at characterisation, even if it's not the one of the characters we know.

Season 4 is terrible but man Jeff taking summer courses is completely on the arc set by Harmon as dude writes characters to develop instead of just being static. Agree on everything else about Jeff this season especially hair.

the praises for zhao, the mechanist, jet, and bumi are hot takes

By the way, some people are still coping really hard on facebook groups and such that this show was good. xD When I ask them why it's good I always get 2 answers. 1. They "enjoyed" it. 2. It's not as bad as the Shyamalan movie (I think it's worse at times than the Shyamalan movie for the record) The cope is unreal.

Subbed, all they had to do, was follow the storyline from the OG series, they could change how the characters get to their destination, character growth etc, but not the end results of it, they could've put 3 episodes of the OG series in each of the Netflix episodes and it'd total out to the same length, they were lazy, and just didn't care about being true to the spirit of the show, as well as not incorporating any real martial arts, (apart from Zuko doing some flips and what not), to differ each bending form, as each nation is supposed to fight differently. The most frustrating changes to characters for me was with Bumi, Ozai and Azula. Bumi was way to angry, bitter, spiteful, and hateful towards his best friends, instead of being the humbled,funny,and intelligent,yet crazy,silly and strategic king he's meant to be. Ozai was so underwhelming, no real anger, fear, tyranny, I am not scared of him at all, he's to emotional,not cold and heartless as his show counterpart. Azula is supposed to be extremely intelligent, the best of anyone else who comes up against her, witty, fierce, competent, terrifying, yet calm and collected, and extremely good in hand to hand combat, as well as tactical planning, my favorite antagonist next to Ozai in the series and this show ruined her. 😞

Ripley would've taken care of the thing too, tattoos, facial piercings, that would have been her start.

Okay so while I don’t like the remake and I agree with. Lot of reviews and their points on why it’s bad. I also think there’s a lot of reviewers/fans that don’t get what made the show good in the first place to call it bad. I agree with must of the stuff in this review but the hate on SOME of the actors. I think most of what’s wrong comes down to directing and casting ngl I had to click of the video when bro said commander zhao! Was the best in the live action. I’m sorry but no one is taking that dudes seriously with that voice not to mention how much of a back seat he’s taken in this version.

Something else that more so a nit pick for irohs live action is there’s not accent. Idk if that was how mako naturally talked or if he only did it when he did voices but he has a slight accent in the way he says things like prince zuko. When the actor says it he sounds… he sounds so white. And that’s not a race thing i just didn’t didn’t know how else to say it 😭.

It's hard for me to say if sokka is the most screwed over... They really.. they really messed everyone up... Katara was... Soooooo badddddd... So bad... Miss.. I can learn airbending from nonsensical... Proverbs? Ans im my own master girl boss.. ans im also trying to get the healers killed.. Suki was... Just, disgusting? Like, attacking Sokka for no reason.. basically just wanting d the whole time. Instead of being a warrier... Changing Kyoshi from a calm, level headed mentour to... Whatever the avengers fuck they gave us.. including a superhero landing.. Basically no Avatar Roku... But the sexism was bad.. they tried to "get rid of" thr sexism. But made it worse somehow...? Like, that takes tallet.. And like.. putting all of your female healers with no combat training on the front line? Because woman power? Its still hilarious how they "removed Sokka's sexist remarks" about women but still decided too make Pakku sexist LMAO. Also its even more funny how the director was trying to appeal to game of throne fans. Like game of thrones fans can take gore, nudity and sexual violence but not misogyny from a child. Absolutely wild and sad

It's impossible to enjoy the ending of this movie if you're trying to think of it as a happy ending. The abuser got what he wanted, and Neiman sold his soul and came running back to his abuser, choosing fame over the rest of his life, evident when he turned his back on his father to return to the stage. I personally disliked the ending because of the bitter taste it left in my mouth, but I think it's easier to stomach if it's looked at not as a poorly done happy ending, but an intentionally tragic one. It's just hard to see through the epic solo and very happy SEEMING tone of the ending and see it as the tragedy it is.

Remember, the thing 1982 film is from the novel ( who goes there) a Novel from the1930's. So it is possible Alien is taken from the (Who goes there?) Novel. Both stories are identical. Orgin of the pilot of the ships, the only difference is, The thing is an organism. Comparing both films and writing off the thing. Totally unfair
