Welcome to my channel! I'm a musician from New Jersey making my way in the LA music world. This channel is part of my resume. Most people wind up here when I'm being screened for an audition. For those of you who are just here for the music, thanks for stopping by, I'm grateful for all of you!
My career started while I was in high school. I got invited to play Hammond with Keith Urban at the American Country Awards followed by being invited to join the extraordinary guitarist Steve Vai on his world tour. After that, I graduated summa cum laude from the Popular Music Program at USC where I studied with Patrice Rushen. I'm proud to now be a member of the music faculty at USC.
When I'm not teaching the best young musicians in the world, I'm usually working in the studio or on a stage with one of my 300+ clients from around the world. I've had the honor to work with Hunter Hayes, Sofia Carson, Madison Beer, Diane Warren, The Grammys, Sesame Street, Noah Cyrus and even the White House!

Dick Van Dyke, "Let's Go Fly a Kite"
I am so proud to have played piano on this piece from Mary Poppins with Dick Van Dyke and Jason Alexander! This performance was filmed at Malibu High School on June 15, 2024 at a ceremony honoring Van Dyke's philanthropy. Dick is a legend and a national treasure. Jason Alexander is a fellow Jersey boy and has been my dating strategy guru since 1996! Haha, maybe that's why I'm still single. Of course, I'm referring to his line as "Hugo", the gargoyle from Disney's, "Hunchback of Notre Dame"...."give her some slack, then reeeeel her in"!

Michael Arrom, "Waves"
มุมมอง 121ปีที่แล้ว
This piece has a bit of fun history behind it! "Waves" was my first original composition which I was fortunate to record with live session professionals. The piece was born during the Summer of 2010 when I was 15 years old. It was during that Summer that I made my first trip to Los Angeles to attend Grammy Camp. Grammy Camp is a serious program offered by the Recording Academy to help high scho...
Jeff Beck, "Freeway Jam" (Cover)
มุมมอง 188ปีที่แล้ว
As a former guest member of Steve Vai's band, I've always appreciated great guitarists. Jeff Beck is one of my favorites. One of the things that I love about "Freeway Jam" is that it's always played a little differently and reflects the energy of the band at that point in time. This recording was made in Dave Rosenthal's studio when I was 16 years old. The fantastic line-up includes Joe Bergami...
Elton John, "Burn Down the Mission" (Cover)
มุมมอง 351ปีที่แล้ว
Elton John's music has always been one of my biggest inspirations. This song from his 3rd album, "Tumbleweed Connection" is one of my favorites. I recorded this song at age 16 under the direction of my incredible mentor, Dave Rosenthal. This recording was created to be a part of my personal artistic portfolio for applications to music school. This piece is an important part of my personal exper...
Frank Sinatra, "Come Fly With Me" (Big Band Cover)
มุมมอง 739ปีที่แล้ว
This special project was my first exposure to the world of orchestration and music direction. I was 15 years old and working with my mentor, Dave Rosenthal. This experience was invaluable later in my career when I used these skills to produce music for the 50th anniversary celebration of ABC's, "School House Rock" and for the Emmy-nominated Derek Hough production of, "Tango Roxanne". Dave instr...
The Beatles, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (Piano-Violin-Guitar Cover)
มุมมอง 2.3Kปีที่แล้ว
Here is another old studio recording from my high school days. This recording was made back in 2011 with my mentor, Dave Rosenthal. I always admired the expressive quality of great guitar players and I wanted to attempt this beautiful George Harrison song on piano. I'm naturally cheerful and expressing the deep sadness of this song took a great deal of effort. I'm fortunate to have the incredib...
UNICEF Gala Capri 2022 Vlog
มุมมอง 288ปีที่แล้ว
Please join me behind the scenes during 4 days out of my working life as I travel to Capri, Italy to accompany Sofia Carson at the UNICEF Summer Gala 2022. Behind the glamor of the star studded event, there was lots of travel, rehearsal, a little sightseeing and even an impromptu piano lesson for Sofia's sister. I'm so proud to work with Sofia and her team. Together with everyone else involved,...
American Contemporary Ballet Compilation
มุมมอง 217ปีที่แล้ว
I'm very proud of my work with the American Contemporary Ballet and their annual series of Inferno and Burlesque. The show has been become a wonderful Los Angeles Halloween tradition. My role in the show is to help create gothic atmosphere as I play your favorite pop hits on a pipe organ.
Hunter Hayes Tour Vlog
มุมมอง 65ปีที่แล้ว
This video is my album of cherished memories from one incredible month with the extended Hunter Hayes family. The Hayniacs are the sweetest and most devoted fandom that I've ever experienced. It was so humbling to look out into the audience at each show and to always recognize several familiar faces from the tour. Despite the grueling tour schedule of 22 shows plus a television appearance, the ...
Grammy Camp Alumni Play With Keith Urban at American Country Awards
มุมมอง 1.3Kปีที่แล้ว
This performance took place at the American Country Awards on December 10, 2012. This is a clip from the live television broadcast. I had the opportunity to play Hammond B3 on this performance. Nearly 10 years later, my friends in this video have all gone on to brilliant music careers. Thank you to Keith Urban and the Grammy Foundation for this incredible opportunity.

Bonnie Raitt, "I Can't Make You Love Me" (Piano Cover)
มุมมอง 5102 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey all! So a friendly channel follower (thanks Brian!) suggested I do some Bruce Hornsby. It just so happens that I have an old Bonnie Raitt/Bruce Hornsby cover that is one of my favorite songs. Unfortunately, I only recorded audio back when I did this in 2013. I hope you don't mind the still photo. The photo was taken around the same time as the recording, again by the great family friend and...

He is playing too fast. There's a best cover of Thunder Road in a right pace.
I downloaded this video and used this as the audio track for when I entered my wedding ceremony with my family. People loved it. Thanks so much for posting.
Brilliant song by the best rock artist ever, played by a brilliant pianist. And I mean both you and the Professor. Thank you for this jewel!

The way you smile through the song tells me just how much joy you get from his music. I'm also from NJ and he's my favorite artist! Thanks for this amazing tutorial.
Hi Pamela, Thank you so much for your kind comment!
Really good man! great job
Thank you!
Best cover I’ve heard
Thank you, Rich! I appreciate your comment :)
Ive been playing piano for some time and just curious as to how you can play something like this without sheet music i would love to play this for my dad
Hi Paul, thanks for your comment! The boring answer is that I've done an untold number of tedious classical exercises. I perform this song as a series of short patterns. I'm sorry that I don't have sheet music for this song. If your father enjoys Backstreets, I did create notes for that song. You can look up my video here and find the link back to my website for my free music notes.
@@michaelarrom94 thanks for replying! what exercises are you referring to?
@@paulcavounis6467 Mainly practice drills from the Hanon and Czerny books
This is an incredible arrangement . Is there sheet music available ?
Hi Mitchell, thank you for your comment. I'm sorry that I don't have sheet music for this arrangement, I played this "by ear". If you're interested in other Springsteen songs, I do have free music notes for my arrangement of Backstreets. My video here has the link back to my website where you can find the sheet music. Hope you have fun playing Bruce!
Such a wondeful performance. It's really beautiful. Full of emotion. Congratulations to both of you. Best wishes from France. Thierry ^^
Thank you so much, I appreciate your kind comments!

This physically caused me pain for you, bravo sir I can't imagine trying to play this, or how many times it took to record just wow
This is one of those pieces that is easier than it looks. You have to start out slow and then gradually build the speed.
Thank you
Thank you.

This is so beautiful.. did you have a sheet for the song?
Thank you, Richard! I'm sorry, I played this by ear and don't have sheet music.
Congratulations! What an honor to play for such legends
Thank you!
Great cover… I can hear everyone singing along
Thanks, Chris! I appreciate your comment :)
WOW! WOW! WOW...! I can't tell anything more expressive...
Thanks, Jaime!
On the backstreets until the end ❤
Thanks for your support!
Kudos, my man!! I was asked to accompany a vocalist friend on this song.. didn't realize what a mountain it was, but I'm having fun getting through it. The one thing I wondered about, was how to do the second half, when it's usually guitar driven. But you absolutely find everything and kill it. If imitation is flattery, then I'll be flattering you for the next week or two.
Thanks, Jess! I hope you have fun accompanying your friend :)
I’d sure be smiling like that too if I could play this! This is awesome :) hope to get here one day! Congrats on this accomplishment!!
Thank you so much, Richard! Be sure to enjoy the journey. There is fun to be had beginning on day one :)
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you so much!
Dude!
Thanks, Johnny!
