Yes, I removed the dirt part after boiling.
@@tohmyade5920 But I think you can also eat whole things yes? Maybe feed it some cabage for a few days so you know what it ate. I mean to remove or not to remove is just personal prefferance and not strictly necessary. I like to eat organs as there are usually key nutrients in their like vitamin D A etc.

@@ManuelJonckman can I ask you a question, have you at any point in your life eaten chicken? If yes, would it be right for me to say “ shame on you”. Absolutely Not. The fact that you don’t consume snail doesn’t make you better. You would have probably eaten if born from this part of my country. So let’s respect and be mindful of our words. I have seen people eaten things I wouldn’t imagine myself eating, that doesn’t give me the right to judge and say nasty things to them. Anyways, greetings to your snail pet. Don’t be scared I won’t hurt them. I’m respectful to know that, No jokes. ✌️ FYI: I can supply you more snails as pet in case you are interested.

I was told it shrink if u boil before removing from the shell? How is that ma’am?
I think either ways it will still shrink. If you decide to remove directly from the shell without this method, when it’s cooked it’ll still shrink. As long as it’s not left in the hot water for too long. Then it’s fine 👌.

I don’t think so. My snails are not salty. Unless you are referring to another type of snails. This species are not salty, even when salt is used in removing the slime.

I love snails. I usually break the shells first and it takes forever to clean the slime off. Am gueesing the boiling reduces the slime. Thanks for the tip.
Not really boiling, rather boiling hot water and salt reduces the slime.
