I can't stop laughing. This is presented so clearly and yet I still have absolutely no clue what you're even saying or what's going on. Chudyk is a strange one.
Stick with it! I haven't quite gotten Mottanai yet either but after some false starts Innovation has finally clicked earlier this week and it's such an awesome game! Now I am really excited to give Mottainai another go, which is why I am here :)
@@palacsintaz I want innovation but I can't stand how ugly it looks. That's why I'm here, I think Mottainai looks good.
This is a really great tutorial. I just wanted to comment for future viewers that you place a facedown task under EACH player board as part of setup. This may be a difference in the 1.2 rules, but that's what my boxed copy says.

When setting up, do you mix the two decks together or use only one of the decks? There are white and black backs.
You use only one deck if playing with 2 or 3, and the two decks shuffled together if playing with 4 or 5 players. This wasn't in place when I did the video with the print and play, so is not explained - sorry. It is mentioned in the rulebook on page 5 at the bottom of the paragraph titled 'Deck'. Enjoy!

Really good presentation. I read the rules but since I have also played Glory to Rome i wanted to watch a video tutorial so i dont accidently blend the rules together in play, as they are so similar. thank you.

Hi - i got 2 questions: 1st: you applied the +1 mighty boost only to the white die but wouldn't the black die have been modified by the mighty boost as well? 2nd: after deafeating the goblin archer you can "loot for free". Does this mean you immediately draw a loot card or are you just allowed to use an immediate free loot action (but you still have to roll?)
+MH Plus My understanding of the rules would be such: 1: That you choose which die to 'Mighty Boost', rather than it applying to all dice. 2: You loot as a free action, but not an automatic success. You would need to roll to see if you succeed. I will email the designer to ask him to clarify this incase I have got these incorrect.

+MH Plus Mighty Boost actually applies to all dice rolled. I'll make this clear! And the Goblin lets you perform a loot action, which is to roll a dice. I'll also make this clearer :) Thanks for pointed it out!

Your tutorials are really good so other than some music at the start and end you don't need it.

Heyyy TheDiceStormers well done for getting an award at the Expo! I didn't realise you were there or else I would have had a chat. :)
Please shoot (hypothetically of course) whoever chose that awful track and created this video. This is an event that I'd generally be interested in attending but this video is so poor and feels so awkward that it completely kills me. Despite what the guys says in the vox pop at 4min 20 this video contradicts it and it really does feel not just geeky but nerdy, and really alienates a lot of people.

Excellent video, particularly like 0.50 seconds in, what Games co is that Logo of ?? It was a great Expo for all the reasons they discuss and all the socialising, brilliant.
