@SangoandHoushiSama....... I know your post is 3 years old, but if you're still having neck problems with the bari..... have you ever tried a snare sling? The strap is much wider and distributes the weight better. Years ago, the drum instructor for my HS marching band tossed me one and said "try this instead". Never bothered my neck again. Wish I had it when I played bass sax (that thing hurt).

Sorry xomisfit...... drumstyx6464 is correct. Watch some of the other videos. The discussions going back and forth are saying it's a soprano. Also, there is at least one video where the guys playing SAY it's a soprano. :)

@drumstyx6464 its because for jazz songs, seventh chords are primarily used instead of triads. :P and youre completely right it really does fill up the chord which is how saxophone quartets are so awesome haha

@drumstyx6464 emeemm! the sound you are hearing is actually the tenor saxophone. wich is amazing because usually the tenor doesnt get the lead. it is pree amazing that they have these people at disney land... ive never been there before, but it is any persons dream.

that tenor sax player can really play - Shows love in his playing- I would give anything to play in a group like this - bass sax!

I play alto, tenor and occasionally a flat soprano but out of all of them i LOVE the tenor its sound is rich and is brilliant for Improvisation :D. You can tell the guy on tenor has experience

OOhh that is too bad the Bass sax guy got a newer Bass. It is so wimpy sounding compared to his older one. Still they sound as great as usual.

the bass and soprano REALLY fill out the ensemble, if it was another alto and another tenor instead, it just wouldn't have the same feel. i think it's cause the soprano sort of emulates a clarinet

im play tenor sax and that was amazing i suppose to be coming to disney world in summer when i come im gonna look for the guy that played tenor to learn the notes

Yeah it is a bass sax. If you notice, the tubing for the sax goes below where the neck and mouthpiece are. On a Bari, where the neck and mouthpiece come would be the extent of the legnth of tubing. This gives the bass sax a lower sound. Hope this helps!

Yeah, especially since they walk around and stuff....Even my bari hurts my neck since my strap is mediocre- You'd need an actual harness-
