I always adored the middle ages, the castles and the ruins. This is only a short selection with some medieval music.

Through all the fourteen years that this video has existed I still come back over and over for a listen.
Very nice music, nice vibeo!
who else is here for frats’ class 😗
I recommend a TH-cam channel called "Medieval Richard". He visits/films castles, plus more, and also works in a castle!
i think that music from 1490 to 1526 is obviously not medieval but renaissance.

+marcobagut Possibly a castle in Germany or France?
Burg Kreuzenstein, Austria.
What? no castles in Serbia? Bosnia? Montenegro? hmmmmm
This is not medieval Music surely, it sounds much later, 17th Century maybe (1600 that is)
Is there any way you could share the names of the songs you used?
Linda!...Uma lástima que os castelos estejam em ruínas; mesmo assim dá um belo visual artístico!...
I really enjoyed listening to this medieval music! It sounds amazing and pretty authentic. :-)
BORING SHIT!!!!!!!!
No one told you to listen.. go play your Beiber CD.
Pay no mind to Cedric. He was put into a medieval style dungeon years ago and Lord Ramsey did unspeakable deeds to his man hood. He has every right to be bitter.
I didn't mean to be rude (? :)
It seems my account have been hacked I never published this comment... :-(
It is more likely that it is in Gaelic.
This sounds more like the tudor period to me
Orford castle is an interesting place to visit, with it's Byzantine architecture & Wild Man of Orford tale
Hmm... now i shall Minecraft these beautiful castles!
Muy bueno.
Austria <3
Exactly a lovely French invention :p
Nay? Tush! Shall Death brag him wander'st in his shade.
Zamykam oczy i widzę - te łaki zielone, lasy, zagrody i zamki. I spokój - mimo wojen, wlki o władzę, zabójstwa itp. I coś we mnie woła - dlaczego żyję w tak szybkich czasach - gdzie nawet zastanowić się nie można nad swoim krokiem. I muzyka KRZYCZY - nawet o miłości.
I adore Shakespeare; as for which society is "best," I have created a book set in a realm where it has a reasonable mixture of both our time and that of medieval/renaissance age. In my world of Overon, the cities look much like an olde world village. Much like the images shown here. But they also have some 21st century principles. Women and commoners are treated equally, the land is rich and fertile, the people live clean lives. If only I could make it a reality
Great video. Thanks for posting it.
Great video. Thanks for posting it.
the world is still just as messed up now as it was then except our kings changed there names to parliament and presidents and have gotten a hell of a lot better at preventing slaves from knowing there slaves.
guillotines weren't invented until the 18th century :P
Luckily we are able to hear beautiful music and view medieval structures without exposure to all that one might want to miss of this period. Thanks for posting this!
Lots of these places are still very stable. The governments should restore even more of them! And this creates jobs in the villages! (Carpenters, wall painters, plasterers, stone masons, and gardeners, historical tour guides, etc.
you can go to fort Zackary in Florida, or to the spanish fort in San Augustin
drugs aren't that bad, modern violence is a pussy violence unless in war theatres, how is sex bad? i agree on greed but it has always been like that, and that last adjective you used is merely subjective.
Brilliant! Combining black and white photos of ancient medieval architecture, with medieval music…wonderfully brilliant work! Love the selection of music...very well done video!
I'd love a list of all the castles used in the video, they're great!
Even though, fun fact, the guillotine was invented in the 18th century as a MORE humane way of executing people!
what castle is at 2:50min ?
I was born 500 years too late. Sure the medieval ages were dark, but certainly everything that's beautiful has a dark side to it.
To be fair Shakespeare plays, as brillinatly as they are written, when you get down to it. are FUCKING NUTS. I mean, look at Hamlet, *spoiler alert* LITERALLY EVERYBODY DIES. And don't get me started with King Lear.
