Such a great idea and design!
How do we buy the pattern for this project
karlovadesign.com/products/leather-case-pdf-pattern-cigarette-box-card-case-leather-craft-template-with-video-tutorial-dxf-and-svg-included
Hello, what brand of scissors do you use? Is there any special detail that you can specify for cutting leather, such as the cutting angle?
That is KAI, model 7205, highly recommend!
@@KarlovaDesign Thank you. It is currently a very expensive product in my country. I hope I can buy it in the future. Cutting leather like this should be a good solution to save time. Thank you for sharing your wonderful works with us.
I TRIED TO MAKE THE PATTERN VERY BEAUTIFUL, THE SAMPLE IN THE VIDEO IS TOO DARK BECAUSE IT IS BLACK LEATHER. I WOULDN'T BENEFIT IT AT ALL. I WISH LIGHT COLORED LEATHER WAS USED.
Yes I realized that I'd better not use black leather for the tutorials! I now have better lighting too so I might make a new tutorial for this one.
I've been struggling searching for this tutorial a month ago, and not a single video on yt show how to do it until I found you. Thank you very much, God bless you 🙏❤
Thanks for making the patterns available for free, it is much appreciated. They look like the sort of projects that will be good for beginners (like myself) and help boost confidence. Could you please give me a little more detail of the polish product you used? It looks like it left a great finish.
You are welcome! Glad it helps :) The shiny stuff was bought locally in small containers but I believe this is Kenda Farben Antiqua Super.
Scratch owl - love it. :)
LOL I was wondering if anyone's gonna notice 🤣
Always need me some drip catchers!!!🥴
Love love love all of your designs by the way. I’ve enjoyed your videos also. Thank you for your contribution to the community 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
awww thank you so much! :) very inspiring to hear that!
_I_
One of these days I will do this (I already have the tool) I just keep talking myself out of it. You may not know this but why is it on the inside and not the outside of the leather.
Just play with it on scraps it doesn't bite lol. as for the other question, I am not sure I understand what you mean!
@@KarlovaDesign Basicly, why does it loop out of a hole in the center instead of looping into the middle of the leather.
@@startrek2365 uh, I guess, physics.
This I such a crafty tool and so much fun to make matching lace strap for the drawstrings on bags. You can get a lot of lace on a 6” square piece of the leather. The key is having a large enough hole to get it started . It took me a few tries to realize I was starting too small to get the first cut.
Yup the comfortable hole diameter I think is 1 inch at least, if it is too small or not round enough that'd be harder :)
What are those scissors your using they seem to be amazing you cut those patterns perfectly using those I would like to give them a try I can only cut accurately using a couple different knives
I love these, it's KAI (Japanese brand) and I am using model 7205.
@ thank you so very much
Those scissors are the best!
Love your content and designs. Thanks for sharing the good and the bad!
Do you have an Amazon affiliate link for the tools and supplies required for this project, or other recommended tools? If no affiliate link, could you recommend some specific Amazon ASIN (product numbers)?
I have a video where I show the tools I am using myself, actually I might make a new video on this subject with all the updates and of better quality :). th-cam.com/video/O5pDhOWitoY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Wq7inVDu0jpoiSAa
Bonjour j'ai acheté ce modèle et sur les devants j'ai d'un côté 30 trous et pour l'assemblage sur l'autre morceau j'ai 29 trous.Es qu'il y a eu deux patrons et j'ai le mauvais ?. Merci d'avance.
Hi! That's very weird, they both have 30 holes. You can send me pictures to marina@karlovadesign.com and we'll see what could have gone wrong.
@KarlovaDesign Bonjour,je ne sais pas comment je peux faire pour vous envoyer les photos.

Oh man I missed the free pattern 😢. I need this!
well, it's just a couple of bucks anyway :)
What scissors do you use for cutting your leather?
KAI 7205, I can totally recommend the brand, great stuff!
Курение бесполезное занятие….🙂
Cool. Now we need a holster for the leather covered Zippo please. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Its perfect I love it 💯👍🙏
Very nice!! Thank you Ms. Karlova and have a wonderful Christmas. I hope the New Year brings you tremendous wealth so the trolls 👾 get jealous. 😏 💘 Sending good vibes from Canada! 🍁
Thank you so much! ❤ Merry Christmas! 🎄
Hello! Something isn’t quite right for the free holster pattern - takes you to the cigarette box on both links…😢 I already have that one !
I've just checked, first link aims to the holster! But, if something isn't working right, on the website in the description of the cigarette box there's a link to the holster, too! karlovadesign.com/products/leather-holster-pattern-for-universal-karlova-cigarette-case-free-pdf-svg-dxf-pattern-download-with-video-tutorial
@@KarlovaDesignoops my bad I now see how that works! Sorry for the inconvenience
@@JoFrostleatherwork No worries! enjoy :)
Thank you very much @Karlova Design. Have a blessed season with your loved ones.
Super.
You’re amazing!!! I started following you long before you had to move and start all over again. Im so happy that you’re still doing what you love. Thank you for sharing your work with us and Merry Christmas 🎄
Very nice work thanks
If you want a tape that will hold for sure use vhb tape that stuff could stick water to fire
I find when doing the cross stich that if I pull the thread to tighten towards the direction that I have not sewn yet that I am able to get a more consistent tightened and uniform stiches.
I gotta try that!
Bonsoir tu utilise quoi comme fils
In this video I use Galaces 0.65 mm. I like it.
Crossed stitch is life!! 😍😍😍 So sophisticated! 😍😍 Thanks for the video btw! 🙏 Edit : wow love the big box at the end of the video!!
Thank You!! ❤❤
My biggest recomendation is curved needles. I think they would make a lot of these stitches easier. On the base for the one I made my wife I used Bass wood I find at the hobby store and then stained and sprayed it with a top coat after assembly and it looked great. Bass wood is not as soft as Balsa but still cheap but still able to be cut with a utility knife.
Cool I didn't think about that, probably it would be easier with curved needles, but they're all sharp as far as I know, which wouldn't be very convenient. I'd love to see the pictures of your mannequins!
@@KarlovaDesign I've gotten some from leather supply stores that are not sharp. They are harder to find but100% worth it. I bought a bunch so I would have time to find them again if I start to get low. Sure, I'll send you pics of the things I've made from your patterns. Just tell me how you would like me to send them to you.
@@startrek2365 That's cool I will get some if I see them somewhere! You can send me pics to marina@karlovadesign.com :)
❤. I’m in love with your creativity and style. I love this bag!! Can you send me the purchasing information on the leather’s so I can create this same bag? I have already purchased your pattern. Thank you so much. Glad I found your channel.
aww thank you so much! Happy to hear that :) As for the leather, the back part is Missouri by La Perla Azzurra, the main part is also an Italian veg but I don't know the tannery - bought it here in Tbilisi. Also, a 2mm Missouri is very similar to this one!
I heard the cricket and freaked out just a little! Thought it was in my studio! Ha!
I thought I only had crickets in the Wine Tote video, LOL.
Great little pattern! Thank you!!
Hi, I really like this design! It'd be great if you could add another option that's scaled to fit the Classic size that's 1.5" x 2.5" x .5"
I think I just wrote wrong numbers in the description - this one is for the classic one!
Already have it but get discouraged being able to do it justice. I have many of her patterns and absolutely love them!
Je l'ai fait en bleu 😊 Mais pas évident de coudre , je me suis transpercé le doigt 😢😂 🩹
Awww sorry about that! 😢 Get better soon!
Un sacrifice pour les dieux du cuir. :)
💯👋😃👍❤️
Excellent. Thanks!
That’s freakin adorable!
Thank you :)
Link not work
Simple and efficient! 😍😍
💯❤️👍
Hi, I can't download the pattern, please help
What's the error you are getting? you can try and place another order since it's still free, maybe it was a system glitch.
@KarlovaDesign I can't find an option to download
Problem solved, dear friend
Me too
Just made this tonight and I got the bottom to fit, but the top didn’t because I think the leather was the wrong thickness. It was also really old leather that I moisturize so it could’ve worn and torn because of that but great pattern great project.
Thank you for the feedback! I am actually a bit worried how everyone will do with their materials and stuff - old leather probably wouldn't work as it might not have any elasticity left.
I have just enough to try it one more time with the pattern slightly bigger like you suggested and see if it works. I have an old piece of alligator that would just look great if it works the second time, just enough to make this size project.
@@paulpixphotos Keep in mind that alligator might not have any stretch! and it also should be very tight so it won't feel like it's about to fall off.
