    The only stupid question is the one you do not ask, at least maybe? Is there any reason it is called *lemon* myrtle? Is it related to lemons in some - even obscure/bizarre - way?

    Wow great harvest. I'm here in Newcastle. I'm growing a few Dragonfruit including the yellow one. Two buds of the yellow have just appeared developing slowly. I'm wondering if they self pollinate as I'll be away in early April for 2 weeks? Also I'm growing the Mexican Cream which I have to net carefully or the fruitfly will ruin

    I am mesmerised by the billfish drawings and the map of Central America! Good top 4, jackfruit are the best , what other 3 year old tree can you harvest 50kg of fruit from. Wish I had planted more at the time, rectified now with 2 more jacks and 4 chempejaks, should be enough to feed my suburb! Also we put our papaya in hot water in the sink for 10mins after picking, stops the black spot on them progressing further.

    • @sapotesaporium5408
      @sapotesaporium5408 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was wondering if anyone would notice the map of the Caribbean etc👏👏 extra points✌️ can’t wait for jackfruit, should have planted more ! Ado you think chemperjack similar cold tolerance to jackfruit?

    • @dougs_urbanfarm
      @dougs_urbanfarm 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sapotesaporium5408 the chempejaks are definitely not as cold hardy as jackfruit. Jackfruit seedlings are okay at my place outside all winter(even the Malaysian red jacks) The chempejack hydrid seedlings(have a cheena and 3 others) would not have survived if not for the greenhouse and they still looked ratty, they have been planted out now but may need slight protection next winter. I have killed 2 chempedek seedlings so might not bother with them anymore, I have a few hundred trees to look after, don't have time to nurse individual trees.

      it's eastern medicine used to benefit and detoxify the lungs. from another website: In Chinese medicine, we say the night-blooming Cereus run fei, Literally, it means moistens or lubricates the lungs. So, making a soup from this flower is a good way to tonify the lungs. However, do not take this soup if you suffer from hypertension, as it may aggravate your condition
