Imma let you all finish, but i just wanna say that the soft bulletin is one of the best albums of all time! and this vocal is pretty weak. sounds like hes singing to appeal to little girls and not from the heart.

@PogoJay I wouldn't say its better than the original. Better in its own way.

i'll start with the cover statement that you seem to need to apply to any youtube comment these days and say that this is only my opinion, but this is just stunning. a song so full of melodic sadness has never sounded as beautiful. it does the original proud, bravo.

@ROCKmyworldxo I actually agree that the singer has an ok voice. Musically it just sounds nasty, particularly the drums, which sound like they're being hit by a 5 year old.

I love the original, the Flaming Lips were great but there is just something about this version that I love. Fightstar put so much emotion into it.

well omar didnt actually play the drums to damocles, he broke his wrist so charlie had to record the drums for some of the songs on be human, including damocles. however, omar is a fucking awesome drummer, and like you said, you only have to listen to tannhauser gate or deathcar to see that, very talented guy!

aaaaaagh no one can do it like flaming lips. the iron and wine cover is the best i've heard; they really took it to a different level so that you didn't *feel* like you were listening to just an imitation. this is nice. but yeah, still a cover.

seriously Omar is on eof the most talented drummers in the business today, he has rythm talent manages to keep a really good beat throughout every song even when going extremely fast this band are so underated though which sucks because they seriously are very talented

this song is absolutely amazing and covered by an amazing band....but not just that....all there covers including fear of the dark, breaking the law and even leper messiah are not only awesome but id go as far to say in there own way there better than the originals.....just my opinion guys please dont rip my balls off because i know how you all love to hate fightstar :)
