Fall is here! One of the cozy flavors of fall is pumpkin so knew I had to create a pumpkin recipe with extra spices to really taste the coziness.

There are other ways to fix a curdled meringue buttercream. You could have a hairdryer on low heat blowing at the bowl as it mixes. Or, you can whip the mixture at high speed in 1 minute intervals, scraping down the bowl between intervals. It also curdles due to separation of water from the butter if added when too cold, so the 2nd method I mentioned will reincorporate the separated water back into the buttercream.

Thank you! 💕 Yeah! You can make the dough and keep it in the refrigerator overnight. It hardens, so let it sit at room temperature for about 10 or so minutes!

What kind of projector do you use?
I purchased the Pico pocket projector about 4 years ago and it still works! A little pricey but theres similar ones out there for less 🙂

I had similar problems with gingerbread when i was making 3d reindeer and Christmas trees. Sometimes the cutters dont give you enough leeway to have your cookie puff out at all. Then you start shaving it and it cracks. However it can be serendipitous because you end up with something unexpected. Instead of 7 normal reindeer i had 2 that were leaning a little, 2 that were sitting, and 1 that likes to sleep on the job. With a little sleigh behind em all. I think your cookies turned out great. Gobble gobble.

on whats setting may i ask? fan forced?
Hi! I've tried both fan & regular oven settings. I prefer no fan for this because my oven temperature can't go lower than 150°F and the fan is about 25° hotter. I find it harder to control drying times with higher heat. But, you definitely can use the fan, just keep in mind its hotter. I suggest keeping the oven door cracked open and watch the time because they'll dry faster!

Hello i just wanna ask. What does it taste?
It's mostly just sweet because of the powdered sugar, for more flavor you can add vanilla extract! when its piped on a yummy sugar cookie, it's a nice combination :)
I like it. I never thought of applying skills learned in acrylic paint pouring to cookie decorating. This is more like Suminagashi, where the Japanese use floating ink to decorate and design.

Yes! Substitute meringue powder using the instructions on your package. (Usually its 2 teaspoons of meringue powder mixed with 2 tablespoons of water which equals 1 egg white).
Hi thanks, I have read that adding corn syrup will help the icing to be more shiny, is that true? How do you keep the frost shiny after it is dried?
Hi! I don't use corn syrup so I can't say for sure but I have also heard corn syrup makes icing shiny + softer when dried. Maybe add just a few teaspoons to try. The faster royal icing dries, the shinier it stays. When I use my recipe, sometimes I use the oven drying method. Turn the oven on the lowest temperature possible, put your decorated cookies on a baking pan and put them in the oven for a couple minutes. Too long and they can crack, but the heat gives them a nice glossy look! Or place the decorated cookies in front of a fan (but not too close or it can cause the icing to ripple). Happy baking! 💖

Hi! I have a couple of tips ◡̈ hope you’re open to them. When you mix your whites and 10x beat until it reaches a soft peak and then add your butter. The speed on your whisk should me a lot faster maybe a 5-6. After 10 mins switch to a paddle for another 5. It will be as shiny and silky as Swiss.

Personally I don't because as the cake comes to room temperature, the chocolate has much higher risk of cracking! If you try, I'd suggest dipping them in candy melts instead of chocolate. And move them from the freezer to the refrigerator, then to room temperature 😊
