Just experienced the boat not starting back up after an hour of sitting in the same spot fishing. Got it started after maybe 20 - 25 min of failed attempts I have a 03 mercury outboard - are you to push in and turn the key simultaneously? I’ve just been pushing in and out a few times , and then turning the key after - Separately.

I need real help. I got a 14ft aluminum boat with a 15hp 1992 Evinrude 2 stroke and I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. I didn’t even know it needed the battery. I don’t know where to hook it up to then battery and if it holds a charge without being attached and just I have no idea what I’m doing and there’s no videos to hell

This video doesn't help at all all you did was show the voltage and saying take it to a professional is not helpful either some of us are broke and want to fix it ourselves thats why we are looking for these videos
The key words in the title of the video are "testing and checking". It says nothing about repair. It tells you exactly in a very simplistic way how to identify if your charging system is working. Before you insult the producer, ensure you understand the nature of the video.

You change your gear ratio can you change your size prop that you can spin they told me that if I went from the 1.5 to the 1.65 I could spin a bigger prop with a small block V8 is this true and get more Toppin

can you buy a replacement motor from anywhere? My relay box still clicks like it should but my motor doesn't work anymore. used to be able to smack it with a hammer and it would come back for a little. Thanks
first try disconnecting the yellow wire in your tilt switch. it's a low volt light wire that often grounds out the motor through the relay pack. if that doesn't work then I'd recommend disconnecting the motor and testing it manually. if it doesn't work manually then you can buy a new one on eBay for about 60 bucks

What happens if its charging at 18v, whats the issue? The rectifier or the staor?
It could be many things. I would start with linking it with your battery. Use something like a inverter or trolling motor to put a 30% drain on your battery then let the motor charge it back up. The volts should stop when the battery is fully charged. If that doesn't work then you have to start replacing parts.

Do you have a wiring diagram
there is 3 or 4 different wiring diagrams for these.I don't know which one you have but if you're having trouble than I would start with disconnecting the yellow wire, it's for the low volt light bulb and often it grounds out the whole unit

Hello, greetings from Argentina. I have a problem with my switch, it turns off the engine perfectly but the light always stays on, do you have any idea what could be happening? Thank you so much
it could be a lot of things, I would recommend cutting the yellow wire which should be your low volt light wire. if something goes wrong with that wire then it could stop your whole tilt trim from working. you can always set up your own light to your fuse box not having it connected with the tilt trim
just wondering if you need a charge controller to stop battery from over charging ?
you shouldn't need it to stop it from overcharging, however you should test it to make sure it does not overcharge. if it over charges then you need to take it into a professional

yes it's pretty normal for water to be inside of the boat after boating. The boat typically picks up water just from being in use but of course you still want to watch out for leaks. If the boat is stored outside, the drain plug should be removed and the trailer and boat tilted slightly to allow any accumulation of water to drain. As far as the bilge pump that's just personal preference

your clicking the toggle switch but where are you connecting too? and if to a battery? witch wires go where?
The toggle switches is simple process, it is an on-off on switch. It sends power to send the tilled up and power to send it Down.
how do I connect those wires to test it like your doing?
hey boat parts? that doesnt make sense I have the same WPS model and it has only 3 wires on one harness coming out of the wps and on the other harness is another 3, there is no 5 wires
