King of the pool

In South Luangwa, Zambia we found this hippo who was clearly showing us he was the king of his pool. It kept making the same movements over and over again. Funny to see, but also a bit sad as you know he has been evicted from the raft to live the rest of his life alone.

Yes, the camp is on the river, the sites are a bit away (100m) from the river.

Not really around Palapye. You can either try Rhino Sanctuary camp or Martins Drift camp (those I visited). I read good things about Goo-Moremi camp, but have not visited it myself.
Great information and video .How would you like a camp site with each its own private ablutions and water points. Also in a similar area as Mbudi with all the wild life and river view .

By far my first choice of campsite for exploring Chobe! We will definitely be back. 10/10.

We did not manage to get a spot at savuti :( do you think this is a good alternative?
Thobolo’s is a wonderful campsite, but still a couple of hours from Savuti.
Your camp previews are excellent, thank you. As for wildlife, you have given glowing reviews for Moremi North and Mogotho camp vs. Mbudi, not so much. Can you expand on it because reservations at Mogotho are difficult to get. Do your company rent 4x4 in Maun? Thank you
We absolutely love Mbudi. We can arrange vehicles anywhere in souther Africa, so yes also in Maun
Beautiful, thank you. When were you camping, month or time of the year. How far is Mbuti camp from Mogotho camp. We're thinking of travel the first week in May 2023. Again, thank you.
We were camping in April, July and November, all seasons are special. Magotho is about 15-20 mins from Mbudi

It is a very nice place to stay.
Thank you for this, we are booked from Maun-Moremi-Khwai-Savuti-Ihaha next May. We are staying at Croc Camp in Maun (1 night) then 2 nights at each other location. In Moremi and Savuti we are in the tents. Any advice you care to share I am all ears. Thanks again

The road between Sesheke and Mongu is just perfect, no problem getting there.
