It's always good to get back out there 👌 Mixed blessings with that salt, clears the roads well but it's a killer for the bikes if you don't get it off straight away. I keep hearing mixed things about the mic minis, some love em, some have trouble with them peaking out quite a lot, even with that low cut filter on. Oh, and gotta love that Ali Express 😂 Crackin weather after all this crap we've had. Stay safe bud 👍

Looks good mate. I record in 4k 50fps but then render out in 2.7k 50fps to keep the file size down a bit. Most of my videos of my bike trips are around 30 minutes which means a file size of around 11Gb. Like you I live in a crap internet area so it takes about 3 hours to upload 😂. I bought a new PC for my business about a year ago which just happens to be perfect for editing 🤭. Just one comment is that your audio seems to be only coming out of the left channel when I listened to it?

Looks good in 4k. Render the video in h265 and as an mov file instead of mp4. Better quality and smaller file size

Your videos all have sharp looking footage, I have found that TH-cam compress all the footage down to 1080p & in the setting on TH-cam it only let you view in 1080p, I am the same as you looking at getting a new computer just to speed up the render process. All my videos are recorded in 1080p 30fps I add a LUT to give the colour a boost now we are getting the gray days, you can get the colour LUT for the Action 4 Camera from DJI website.

Graphics card and RAM is a big influencer for video rendering and editing. If that's a gaming laptop, it should be fine and I'm sure you've noticed the difference. TH-cam tends to allow you to release the video before it's finished the 4k render. I hold mine back as unlisted now until the 4k is done. I edit the video from my footage, then get rid of all the footage I don't need anymore. As you say, I think a lot of people watch it on their phones these days. Looked great on my 4k TV👍👍

😂 I can relate to everything you said! I started motovlogging earlier this year to record the trips me and my wife take (who is from Gatehouse of Fleet by the way!). 3 DJI Osmo Action 4's, an Insta360 X3 (now sold), 3 DJI mic 2's and a DJI Mini 4 Pro drone later and I have a few holiday videos!! I always feel a bit of impostor syndrome when compared to the big channels but that's not why I am doing it. Like you it's mostly for archive purposes and saving memories for the future. Most of the comments are very kind and offer encouragement to do more though and I am lucky in that I haven't had too much negativity. I have spent hours trying to get my sound right, but you seem to have got it pretty well bang on I would say. My last set of videos of my trip to the Picos de Europa was much better after I stuck a second mic under my seat to get a bit more of the bike sound, and learned a couple of very basic adjustments in Fairlight within Davinci. I just wish I had you accent (rather than my diluted home counties mockney) as it makes everything feel right with the world. Keep it up mate.

Great video, I have managed to go through some of your back catalogue and really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming. I love to see some of the areas you are riding in and all I can say is stunning, oh and a bit jealous 😉I've only been to Scotland once can you believe but have got the bug now, albeit that was in a car not a bike. I live on the very south coast of England so it takes a while to get up there but I am planning on doing a major ride around Scotland next June. I cannot wait to see some of the stunning landscapes and locations on my motorbike. All the best, Andy

Aye, our Graham is good with all things Davinci.👌👌 As you say, it's an expensive hobby, and we need to realise we don't always NEED the newest most expensive kit. Think we're all guilty of that at some stage. As someone else has mentioned, don't change your audio, it's bang on whatever you are using. I think also, it helps having a great voice and accent for TH-cam 🤣🤣 No matter how many subs I ever get, it has been and always will be for me to watch back again when I lose my marbles. And let's not forget, YT is free storage! I sold my 360 camera, I got fed up with editing that first, then re-editing it again in PowerDirector365. Apparently it's much easier in the app, and I believe Davinci will edit it straight away whereas PD365 won't. And remember, any video is a good video if it gets you out on the bike😉😉👍👍 Stay safe bud

Whatever you are doing in the way of audio, dont change a thing. Its far better than some of the so called professionals.

A nice little ride out I agree with you about the cost lol like you I do the recording for the same reasons while I was watching the video and you mentioned the cost the good lady wife looked at me and sed that's you! lol 2 cameras 2 drones, filters mounts for the bike extra battery s yep it becomes a pricy hobbie.

oh im a long way from being an expert on Davinci lol. Blur looked good mate. Aye its an expensive game doing the motovlogging. I also enjoy the video editing process too which often takes longer than the ride lol. When are you buying a drone by the way?

Glad you are liking your new bike and able to get out while the weather permits. Salt on the roads here from this week, so even if my bike was running Ok I would be putting away for the Winter Period.

What a great road! Love roads where the hillsides tower above you. Can't say I've heard of those tyres before, but those high speed usb sockets from NN's are great, I have one now. Love the dronage, always like to see stuff from the air, looks completely different 👌 I don't sub to any large channels, I much prefer to watch the smaller channels that spout the same bollox as me😂😂😂. And as you say, it's great to interact with them which you don't get with the bigger channels. You're lucky if they like 👍 your comment. My Mrs goes cold water swimming, she always asks if I want to go sit on a beach vibes in frost. No thanks dear, not my idea of fun. The big differences are... You're not trying to score points with a manufacturer for a shot of a free bike and, of course, you've not put out a video showing a fault, that's an obvious manufacturing/ PDI issue, on your own bike, that you spent your own money on... My 2 cents, every motorcycle, no matter how good the manufacturer's reputation, could have an issue develop. Could be a Friday afternoon build, could be a hungover Monday build... Who knows? Fact of the matter is, some bikes coming along the line could have an issue and the rest on the line that day/ week could be absolutely fine... Stuff happens. It's how the manufacturer deals with the issues, when they're made aware of them, that's when you know if you've wasted your money. All that said, i quite fancy a BSA Gold Star or maybe a Royal Enfield... 🤔

I enjoyed the vlog. I'm familiar with the Moffat to Selkirk road you were on. The Glen cafe is worth a stop in the spring and summer. I too have a 2020 GS1250 which i love however its proven to be somewhat unreliable and has twice left me stranded. I'll be interested to see how you get on with yours in the coming months ahead.
