Great video Adam, quick question on the tonnage selection. So I have been doing some research on brake presses and of course with Tommy as well. I was looking at the chart and if I needed to bend 3/16 mild @ 4' long I take it I would need at least a 60 ton based off the 11 tons per foot chart? Also great videos, thanks for the tutorial on the programming.
Those were some cool tips. Thanks!
Thanks for watching 🙏
Great channel you got going.
Good tip we have a mill drill table at work but our vice has a notch took out of the jaws kinda like running a mill / pass down where both jaws meet up in the middle about 1/8” depth and works pretty good for holding parts kinda acts like having parallels not sure if it would work for your part you were doing but good tip you had 👍
So good (again!), Adam. I built a 40t press brake a couple years ago for a job. Super handy to have now, but I don't know much about that world. Both these tools will be valuable additions to make my brake more useful. Thanks again, Andrew Thiessen
@@branchandfoundry560 hell yeah that’s awesome man! And I hope it helps you out! I appreciate the comment man.
great info! thanks for sharing

Great now i just need to make Like 100 grand to buy some more equipment. Cool seing the Rolla vs in action.

What cutter do you use? I hate machining plasma cut parts and find it's pretty hard on tools. Looks like you're getting good results, though.
@@neffk I’m using a rota broach here. Meant to say that in the video but I guess I forgot lol.
look at Bessey RiteHite clamps. Adjustable, quick, and lots of hold down force
Hey Adam, thank you for doing these tips videos--super valuable!
@@branchandfoundry560 Yessir! I have more coming! Just filmed another this afternoon I’ll put up in a few days. Much appreciated! Hoping it helps people and I can get this channel grown finally.
Put a piece of wood down so you're not drilling holes in your table
@@1970tattooman I drilled a 1” hole all the way through the center of the Table for through hole drilling. But thanks!
what drill bit is that?
I was going to ask the same thing. I think it is the hole cutter that I use for spot welds
@@alaindesousa7927 That’s a RotaBroach boss. Step drills with some @anchorlube work great as well.
Huh, never thought the Destako would have enough holding force... good to know!
It works slick!
i am going have to give this a try thanks
I don't have a CNC plasma but I'll have to try this on my handheld plasma cutter.
very useful
Welcome back! Love the press brake tips from past videos 👍🏼
ztfab is the man to thank for this idea
Giving the secrets of the plasma laser away! ;)
I've seen those o-rings dried up and fried, and even saw one so damaged it had turned green! People who don't know this never understand why they have air-related issues! Also, over-tightening the Powermax retaining cap causes the swirl ring to deform and crack, which in turn causes the electrode to get stuck giving you the dreaded 0-30 error. This is great! Keep it up!
Well damn! I always wondered what that tube was for, guess I should have asked🤣 guess what I’ll be doing today!!!
@@HalfacreFabrications Haha. Just a little bit! Just rub it between you fingers and put a super light amount just on the o ring.
@ that’s exactly what I’ll do. Seems like I need to clean more too. I keep mine clean but seems like not enough. Yours is spotless and gets used everyday
Love the tech tips idea! Keep it up! Always learning from you. When you told me about this anti-splatter on the consumables I immediately started doing it then forgot about it🤣 I was just spraying the tip and wondered about spraying the sheet. But after this video this makes way more sense on spraying the tip, wiping then letting dry. I also just started wiping my fixture table down with this stuff too. Was just spraying table and leaving it, but got better use once I started wiping is all over.
@@HalfacreFabrications I’ve even sprayed it on powder coated table frames I had to weld next to that I didn’t feel like taping off for a quick weld. Surprisingly it kept the weld spatter from burning the light gray powder coat. Also it just smells nice haha.
@ lol it does smell good!
Thanks again buddy! 👏🏻👍🏻
@@Oliveirafarmer Absolutely! Thanks for watching
If you can’t find your small tube, can you use something else or should it be silicon grease?

We have the machine but I can't do it We are doing simple bending but not making programs like this. please explain
I have tried but I am not able to do it, will you explain to me?
How are you calculating bend angle for a material thickness with the Y value? I modeled a simulator of this machine that shows a bend part in the V, but without knowing what the machine’s Y0 is the values I come up with don’t correspond to what the controller shows at all. This doesn’t account for spring back yet, but still not even close. Is there a way to set the controller’s zero position of Y? Thanks man, awesome video!
Whats it cost to bend a part like this?
Sir, what glasses you use? and is it as good as 3m safety Glasses?
❤❤❤❤❤
What is salary of brake press operator ??
Planned to send this to guys who didn't know how to run one, until I saw fingers on the top of the part. Otherwise a dead simple good video.
@adamdeuling5720 could you please post some videos of you designing in solidworks or autocad and then building those designs. The whole process, including mistakes. If you Program in autocad, that would be awesome to see as well. Thank you for what you've posted so far. It's been extremely helpful.
What punch and die sets do you use the most? Like a gooseneck with a 4-way or acute sets?
Kevin looking at you like “ you made the mess not me” 😂

The only way to do great work is to love what you do.
x axis arms.. leans on the right and left head of the part.. part measurement accuracy gives better results.. you get clearer results.. by the way, I have been doing this job for 27 years.. 👍🖐🇹🇷
Awesome video 👍 Where did you buy those level things infront of the machine you put the material on when you bend. I dont know the english word 😂
Thnks bro for knowledgeable
Good equipment and work, we also produce this type of equipment!
amazing
good machine ,
You can get one -thousandth of an inch tolerance on air bending? Do you do a test bending first? If not, that's unbelievable!
