Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles - PSP Hidden Gem!
Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles (悪魔城ドラキュラ Xクロニクル) is a fantastic 2.5D remake of Castlevania Rondo of Blood exclusive to the PSP.
This remake includes a remastered exclusive version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night with brand new voice acting and an unlockable version of the rare PC Engine version of Castlevania Rondo of Blood original.
The remake of Rondo of Blood makes this collection worth picking up alone and it's such a shame,e that this version has been ported to any modern system as this would look great and still holds up blown up to 4K.
It's interesting seeing the changes Konami chose to make to the PSP version of SOTN and it's a very impressive port. I would highly recommend tracking down a copy of this collection as I don't seem the PSP version of Rondo of Blood getting a port any time soon.
Both Castlevania Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood have been ported over to the PS4 as Castlevania Requiem and those ports use these PSP versions as a base, but sadly that collection is missing the 2.5D remake of Rondo of Blood but does feature trophy support. Please let me know if you would like me to make a video showing footage from that collection.
All footage was captured using a PSTV via PSP backwards compatibility and is integer scaled to 4K using a RetroTink 4K fed into an Elgato 4K X.

Gradius III was 100% impossible to complete since the last stage had very unstable controls causing the ship to crash into the walls during the escape sequence.
Yes, it's a very hard section with some very tight maneuvers needed. Every millisecond counts and it completely sucks to crash there right at the final stretch. The part where you have to go almost vertically up always stumps me.
@@cheapergamer I mean I had no issue with Gradius III included with Gradius III & IV on PS2 decades ago for the escape part.
@RadiantYT2K Oh I see, well the PSP version does have a few quirks of its own like when you choose the smaller hitbox and the game ramps up the difficulty a notch without telling you. It's based on the PS2 port but had some rejigging to get it on the PSP. I'd say the PS2 version is the superior choice & includes a 2-player mode if I recall correctly?

For Zaxxon, get one Chaos Emerald in Sonic The Hedgehog. To unlock Tac/Scan, find the first bonus area in Ristar. Finally for Future Spy complete the 1st episode on Comix Zone. Good luck!

Looks fun, but very girly looking for me, lol. I ordered Bunny Must Die and Gundemoniums for the PS Vita though. I support the PS Vita and get these type of games for it and leave the big ones for the console instead.
