This Mid-Century Dresser was in someone's family for generations, recently sitting in a storage container waiting for a chance for a fresh start. I found it on FB marketplace, marked down to free. It is a large, solid dresser made by American of Martinsville, a company founded in 1906. A maker's mark is very telling!
After much thought, I painted the body of the dresser (due to repairs) and paint washed the top and the base (to lessen the uneven orange tones, but still show the beauty of the wood grain).
