Was this the bus that used to be owned by someone called Keith in the Hayes area about 1990? The number sounds familiar

I seem to remember this particular one. I was born and raised in Tring Hertfordshire and we had london country buses. They ran nationals between Watford and Aylesbury.

Bought my "tallinja" card and was lucky enough to catch one of these buses on route 14. Smooth!! A real positive change for bus users, seems like a quality product.

Still trying to find pictures of a MCW Metrobus single door where it had the partition down the centre. I remember then from early 80s when would have to get on them with my mum. E1 or 207 it was.

Used to work on this bus many, many, many years ago. I like the fact you still have the running plate MA still on the bus. Beautify restored by the way

Yet another bus that should be scrapped if people got that much money to waste buying buses that I no longer in service they should be scrapped do something better with your money if u got that much to burn give it to family's that r struggling Britain got A very high provety because our government can't stop the dingh drivers coming here for free hand outs

MARVELLOUS!!!! to see these yesteryear vehicles running again 😁👍😉 Although this one is still in need of some TLC still but, it has what seems a full working engine & gearbox. Who knows what else it has to be done to it to get it to what it should look like. But, i am sure it will get done EVENTUALLY!!! 👍😉 Nice one in getting it this far Be nice to see it fully restored in the near future. Can a video be shown of this bus when it is fully restored please!

Smokes like a gardner, dosent sound like one though, maybe a volvo. Also the rear panel has not got the radiator grill, more like a mk2 panel, would like a further look at this frankenstein bus.

Bmc engine right like the old black cabs but a 1.5 to 2liter in the cabs

Still exciting to see an RT, RM, RF or any old London bus. Something about them......RT 981 was first one modeled by EFE models, in '89.

Waste of a brilliant vehicle B10s are bombproof assuming the chassis must have corroded its what killed a lot of B10s, cant be many outside of Blazefield now.

I love old buses! Jhb. City Council used to have a bunch of old Daimlers with Gardner engines. Lovely but the trolley buses were the best!

Fastest fire engine the UK’s ever seen, the Rapier, I do believe.

As a bus mechanic at London Transport Poplar garage, I can well remember a nice little fleet of these buses for our route 108. I think they started to roll in sometime in 1978 April. LS 160 was one of the batch. They all looked marvellous when they were brand new. The drivers liked them, and so did we too. Good to see one of PRs buses surviving, which is more than can be said about poor old Poplar garage. It will be 37 years since closure this November. Kind regards to all.👍
