Thank you sir! You pretty much nailed it😅
Glad your wife has a positive recovery and thank you for your great productions. You are an inspiration
Thank you Ron, as always, you’ve been a great support too🙏
Great video. Under your circumstances. And hope your wife gets better. The strain it can take on everyone. I understand. And once again take the time out to record edit all this. From here in the UK. 😊
Thank you so much, Guy, always appreciated🙏
I put the "one finger" on, but I could not find neutral because the clutch was partially engaged. I've adjusted it a bunch but I'm not sure it's going to work for me...
Man, im sorry to hear that. The best practice is to start back backing out the adjust at the lever to where is barely biting. After that go down to the clutch arm and make adjustments there. Finally, ensure that your lever ajudter knobs are somewhere around the 3-4 mark. Try that and see if it works. You may also need a different clutch cable.
Wish I could find a 16 tooth. 24 RC390 kif you know where please help! Have a blessed day
Hmmm, I haven’t heard of one but a quick google search might help.
It's impressive to see these together! Love how you've taken a DIY approach in places, very practical and focused on real-world improvement without just throwing money at every little thing. I'm making notes on how you've attached the tool roll, as simple as it is I need to finally get mine mounted to the bars. Also jealous of the fuel delivery upgrades, I've been seeing a lot of jerkiness on my 390 lately (all OEM). Happy riding over there dude
Thanks a lot mate! I’d say most of those upgrades really work for me. But mostly I recommend the tire and fork extender upgrades, absolute game changers those are!
aliexpress link please
Here ya go bro: a.aliexpress.com/_onBaktD
sorry you're right your link is correct. it's me who's wrong.
No problem, thanks for watching out for me though 🙏
votre barrure sur la maille qui unit votre chaine est posé à l'envers. dans ce sens elle est susceptible d'être accroché et de la perdre.
Thanks for the heads up. You mean the wrong direction or the wrong side? It’s definitely in the right direction. You want the closed end to face the direction the chain moves in.
7:22 Can't see any coolant in the reservoir?
Probably the camera color profile, but it’s in there 😁
Did these last longer than the OE?
They are still on there, so I’d say that’s a big yes 👍
Does replacing only clutch cable work for rising handlebar or is it needed gas cable or another cable to be replaced too?
A bar rise over 8cm may require a new brake cable.
hey man, great vid! another 390er here from greece, also bought the windshield but cant really understand how to put it on in the right way,do the little hooks at the low end get into the headlight??? waiting for your vid desperately great content, keep it up!!
Thanks! Are you talking about the Aliexpress 790 windshield?
@@advinjapan yeah
@Kopenko it bolts into the OEM bolt hole on the headlight just like the OEM stock windshield, super simple. That lower bracket is meant to hold the windshield.
@@advinjapan oh so there is some space between them at the bottom end of the headlight, correct?sorry about the chat here
@Kopenko yes, though I would maybe put some padding down there to prevent rubbing or vibration during high wind.
Hey man! I love your videos! Can you tell me where to find these crash bars? Does he offer them in orange?
Thanks a lot! These are the OEM crash bars so you should be able to find them on the website. And unfortunately, no they don’t have these in orange.
Thank you so much Nokotanu for your kind comments. そうですね。妻入院しましたけど、今元気で大丈夫です!いつもありがとうございます!
Hey there. A really good demo video. I've gotta ask, the bottom plastic plate with two torque screws which you mentioned which holds the headlight assembly, can it be removed from the outside or it needs to be done from inside? Was wondering if that can be a quick access for the ports 🤔
Hey thanks! It’s been a while. Are you talking about those plastic torx screws that hold in that bottom plate? You remove from the outside and yeah, I think you could probably wire up some fog lights through there.
@@advinjapan yup right I was asking about em. Thanks will explore 👍
@ravigemus2 you will have to probably drill a hole though, it’s pretty tight down there.
I like the stickers on the front fender - can you send us a link where we can get them? You have created a fantastic machine. it has amazing options and looks incredibly amazing. If they sold such a motorcycle in series, it would certainly be unrivaled in the class of light adventure motorcycles. Greetings and I wish you long, unforgettable journeys on this KTM machine !
Thanks a lot! Very kind words friend. I actually make the fender sticker myself 😅. I purchased decal wrap from AliEpxress. Just search “KTM Orange Decal Wrap”
So the forma would be good for city riding to my job and keep the during my day? I'm about to buy a bike and I am not going off-road but I like long boots and I don't care about wearing long boots whole day "I like the looks". Or do you suggest a boot out there with better protection but still comfortable? Maybe new Gaerne G adventure or Oneal Sierra Pro? I can get those boots or some from alpinestars about the same price in my country.
Anything that will give you more protection is always the better choice.
Hey @ADVinJapan. Fellow 390 adv owner here. I have a question. Will the 2023 clutch switch work with older model (mine is 2022)?? What year model is your bike??
Hey! Yes it will, mine is a 2021.
not a good idea. more restrictions than the original hose and, above all, it's going to breathe hot air and an engine likes fresh air because there's more oxygen. the ideal is to let in as much fresh air as possible. even the cover in the form of a filter breathes hot air. solution: a less restrictive, washable filter and get more fresh air.
Thanks for the input! I’ll consider for sure 👍
So for us Imperialists, you got 65 miles on your Low Fuel warning, and another 5 miles on zero. Good.
And if you’ve got an extra fuel bottle even more.
今日KUSHITANIで見かけました〜 かっこよかったです。

Thanks for the video.
Thank you!
This bike won’t be finished until you sell it.
Haha, I’m afraid you’re probably right 😂
do the double take mirrors vibrate at high speeds ?
Nope, not mine at least
What is the top speed with this setup? And at what rpm are you at around 110kmh?
Hardly affects top speed. I’d say probably 100-200 rpm higher in lower gears, even less in higher. I did a video on this too: #19 - KTM 390 Adventure - Front Sprocket Upgrade - Riding Impression th-cam.com/video/Tr1phgfpVzg/w-d-xo.html
good day sir name /brand of chain guide..thanks
Hey, it’s NiceCNC
Good vid but i found that on 2023 model there are 2 additional bolts that hold the headlight in
Thanks! Ah that’s great, yeah the 2023 I know has done a bit to fix these issues.
I love your recommendations, I'm looking forward to doing them to my 390
If anything, it really helps you learn your machine. Glad you found it helpful!
The prefilter works better on the outside, cut the end off snorkel and cable tie 1-2 incha onto end, much more air flow, google mcnews ktm 390 prefilter for images
Great again!
Thank you 🙏!
May I ask, what adaptor did you need to connect the Veepeak OBD+ to the bike's output? And what app do you use with it? My bike just lit the check engine light. Thanks!
Sure, it’s a standard 6 pin adapter. I got it on Amazon too. The app download instructions are in the manual for the veepeak. iPhone and android I believe are different so be sure to purchase the correct one.
@@advinjapan Not sure why Android vs iOS matters for the adaptor, but I ordered one that one reviewer said worked for his 390.
Sounds like all the lever & clutch mods help you with your tendonitis. Can't say I've needed any of those. But did you get the QuickShifter? I think it could be an upgrade for your year. It was available at purchase for my 2023. I would certainly put foam tubes over your handgrips, e.g., Grip Puppies. That stopped the vibration affecting my throttle hand on long rides. My rear brake pedal popped right off on my first drop. Got the same folding one you have. You've clearly enjoyed upgrading your bike beyond anything I've seen before. It is part of the fun!
Thanks a lot! I do have the quick shifter, I forgot to mention that🤣. It came stocked with mine, that’s probably why I didn’t mention it. Oh wells😅
I added the same 46T Power Parts sprocket. I would have tried to go up another two teeth but I didn't see anything in the Power Parts catalog for our bike with more teeth. I didn't notice much of a change in the bikes behaviour. I considered a 14T front sprocket but a lot of people tell me doing that puts unnecessary stress on the powertrain and adding 3 teeth to rear sprocket is better. Do you know who makes a 48 tooth rear sprocket for our bike? Do you know if adding a 48 tooth rear sprocket would need any other modifications? I was wondering if anyone has every added a 14T front with a 46T rear sprocket and you have :). Would you say it helps with difficult hill climbs? I struggle on steep hills with large loose rocks. If I don't make it up in one go I have a hell of a time getting moving again. Part of the issue is that I need to practice my clutch work, but also this bike stalls more easily than other bikes. One more thing. Change your exhaust to a high quality unit. Sound is half the enjoyment of a motorcycle. The stock exhaust sounds aweful.
Plenty of people have done those higher gear ratios, especially popular in India. There used to be several companies out of India that used to make them. When doing my research I tires to get my hands on there but was never able to find them in stock. The 14t has a significantly great effect on the bike because the ratio of going from 15 to 14 is much greater than going from 45 up to 46. As you mentioned, hardly noticeable. Anyone that says the 14t does unnecessary harm, doesn’t know what they’re talking about. The Duke 250 comes stock with a 14t, and that’s what I have here on my bike. If anything it will wear the engine faster because you’re generating more revolutions per minute than a 15t. But generally, yes, going up on the back in considered a “safer” option, if anything, for the chain. As for exhaust, I don’t way too much high way driving to be able to enjoy a cannonball on my exhaust, but I get it, sound can be important 😊
All in one❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
What another great video. Love all those upgrades mine still stock apart from exhaust. Think ship mine over and you do same to mine lol. Thanks for the time it takes it shows thank you.😆😅
Thanks! I just had a get together here where we did just that, talk and upgrade motorcycles all day. Riding is fun too though 😅
Great video! As far as the 390 windsheild issue I think I finally solved it. I bought an 18" Madstad windshield specific to the 390 and added a spoiler that I bought on Amazon. I bought the Kemimoto spoiler, but there are others that should work. The Madstad by itself in the highest position caused the wind to hit my helmet at about eye level (I'm 5'9"). Adding the spoiler put the wind completely over my head and now cruising on the freeway is actually pleasant! I don't even wear earplugs anymore. I like this setup because I can adjust the spoiler while riding and direct air to my head/chest if I want to. When I don't want the air flow I just push it back to the upright position. It's easy to do with one hand while riding. It's working really well for me. I think the 20" tall Madstad windshield would work too, but I like having an adjustable spoiler, especially for going offroad, I can move the windshield down and point the spoiler at my chest for air flow.
I will checkout the madstad for sure, thank you for the detailed response!
By the way - re the lower triple clamp play when mounting the fork extenders. Wouldn't it be possible to wrap some 0,10 mm blade steel or brass around the point where the upper bolt clamp the fork legs?
Yes, I considered that as I do have some blade aluminum on hand. I may go back in there and do that. Though I honestly don’t think the forks are going anywhere.
Thanks for the video. You have inspired me to sit down and list all of the upgrades I have done to my 390. I may have you beat 😂😂😂.
Holy! 🤣 and I thought I had it all 😅
I'll just call you 390 Adventure God.
Hahahah, this made my day. 😊
I really appreciate your video/s man! One thing i have to ask - not being a dick, just a guy who doesn't have English as native langauge, you say "as well, too" tons of times :) isn't one a synonym for the other? Again, not being a dick but it sounds odd to me. All the best from a fellow 390 adv owner!
My friend, you are totally correct. It also proves that grammatical correctness is never a good measure of speaking ability 🤣. Based on what you’ve written here, your English is great, as well, too 🤣. Keep up the English, and thanks for the support!
Wira Offroad. Up your video
Thanks Wira!
Thank you for the video!! Huge fan here! ❤
Thank you for the support!
Great video! Happy to see another fellow ktm 390 owner go ham on all the upgrades haha I noticed you have a fuel x lite installed from powertronic. I was wondering if you've ever encountered any electrical issues due to it? Ever since i installed my powertronic, ive been experiencing "mtc and abs error" promp showing up in the dashboard. Not always but from time to time it shows up. Did you ever experience anything like this?
Not with the fuelx lite. I would try letting the bike sit in idle until the green lights stay solid. It usually take 30 seconds for the fuelx lite to calibrate before riding the bike. If that doesn’t work. Contact fuelx lite and arrange for a replacement. The QC from them isn’t the best, unfortunately.
