Pathology is an intersection between basic science and clinical knowledge. Being in love in diagnostic medicine and directly observe the disease with our eyes makes pathology is a fantastic medical field to explore. I do agree that "the hallmark of good pathology is the one who find out new things that they don't know, and excited to figure it out and learn something new". Thank you for the sharing session. I hope this video able to inspired doctors to pursue their field in pathology.

As a pre-medical student, I found this video incredibly inspiring. Dr. Okusanya's passion for learning, medicine, and dedication to self-actualization is both captivating and motivating. His commitment to excellence and personal growth serves as a powerful example for all aspiring medical professionals. One key takeaway for me is that while intelligence and knowledge are essential for all doctors, it is the passion, grit, and ability to connect with others that distinguish a good doctor from an exceptional one who truly changes lives. Thank you both for this wonderful content!

Retired ER physician here. kudos to getting into and completing a neurological surgery residency. Over the years I have consulted them on numerous occasions from the ER. I recall a conversation with one, an MD PhD colleague and friend that trained in a fancy big name program. Conversation was about there being so few residency spots in that field. He was very candid and told me that is to "maintain prestige" Would be more humane to allow more residency spots so they would not need to be worked to death.

The medical board is really ran by money motivated talent supposed to be helping people like you sick. What happened to healing people and helping them get rid of the disease, but steady want to prolong it to keep the person to keep coming back to you keep money in your pocket for you

"It's important to have an identity outside of neurosurgery". She says, after saying that she work 5am to 7pm, which is 14hour. If you sleep 7 hours, that leaves you 3 hours of spare time per day. Sorry but there is absolutely no way you get any significant "side identity" with that.

I can say only those who does not know their value or can not contribute to the team , the value of doctor decrease to zero ( except for impressing others colleagues) then it vanishes… stay close to practice, in pharmaceutical they use only your tittle to gain others trust …
