    I am curious about your position on no-fap, and if you every really got into the philosophical aspect of Christianity and the arguments for and against it. In some of your oldest videos you talk about arguments for a specific Christian sect, but you haven't ever made any videos about some of the more popular arguments. Do you think people should have to go to church?

    • @LeviEarnest
      @LeviEarnest 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think its weird to track how many days its been since you've touched yourself. I haven't looked into the philosophical aspect of Christianity, I have very surface level knowledge on that front, I'm more just focused on finishing the Old Testament rn. But going to church is not required, but I see it as a good thing as long as your church teaches the truth of God's grace.

      @@LeviEarnest is there any limit to how evil you can be and still get to heaven? I know you say faith alone saves you, but most people who say that still have some sort of limit even if it's general, like, "at some point if you don't act like Christianity is true you probably don't have faith." In that case faith and works are in a sense the same thing like one word. "faithworks" is what I have heard it called once. One of your videos is titled "3 steps to become your best self." I have sometimes wondered what the best version of myself would look like, and I am still not sure what it would look like. One verse in the bible says that where there is temptation God always provides a way out, that, along with verses like the ones about helping your neighbor, your neighbor being everyone around the world, and "Therefore, to him who knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin," this makes you think that being sinless is possible, and that God should be kept in mind when making all of your decisions. The problem is that depending on how seriously you take these verses, you could be anything between an ascetic (people who got rid of all pleasure in their lives for religious reasons) and who probably think they are perfect, or close to perfect and can easily imagine ranks of people closer or further away from god, or a modern liberal Christian who thinks you could be gay or trans and still be a Christian, who probably doesn't see any sort of way of telling the difference between saved and unsaved people by their works, and might even think that everyone goes to heaven regardless of faith. What is the point of your self improvement, Spiritual or materialistic, and what is your ultimate goal?

    • @LeviEarnest
      @LeviEarnest วันที่ผ่านมา

      For the first thing, is there any limit to how evil you can be and still get to heaven. Quick answer, no. Jesus died for the world, I think its unfounded to say that Jesus can't save some people because they sinned more than others (see John 1:29). In James 2:10, we are told that if you have broken one law, you've effectively broken them all as they were all given by God. So though people like hitler have killed millions and have so negatively affected the world, much more than anyone reading this, we are as equally guilty, as we too have broken the same laws. He too would have been forgiven his sins if he had believed in the name of Jesus. I believe that people that believe in Christ, aren't guaranteed to have works with their faith. Nor that works prove salvation (Matthew 7:22). People can still have faith and be disobedient, but they will receive the chasteneth of God (Hebrews 12 5-11). The only way to be sinless is through Christ, with the verses you spoke of, I don't see how that means we can be perfect ourselves. But yes, God should be kept in mind when making decisions. There isn't a close to perfect. It is black or white, perfect or flawed. I haven't read up on the possibility of being perfect on Earth, but in my uneducated opinion, we all sin in either or thought, word or deed everyday. Even the many prophets sinned many times. As of now I don't think it is possible to be perfect in our Earthly bodies, but I may well be wrong. From the verse I previously cited (James 2:10), it makes me believe that one can be gay and Christian, as it is the same as sinning any sin after being sinned. Also we are sealed until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30.) - What is the point of your self improvement, Spiritual or materialistic, and what is your ultimate goal? Well I want to be as close to God as I can (though I do falter now and then), and I want to maintain the other good habits I have. I find it fulfilling to speak to others about improving themselves. This channel is one, a way to make sure I keep improving, keeping myself accountable to others, getting fulfillment from that, and to spread the word of God.

      @unsilencedderp9411 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@LeviEarnest I think you misunderstood what I said, I am sure you would believe that someone like hitler's repentance at the end of his life could still be accepted, but I was talking about something more on the lines of hitler accepting Jesus and then doing all of the horrible things he did. You have said you believed in eternal salvation, which sort of already answers my question now that I think about it, but the idea that you could do literally anything after accepting jesus as your savior, and there being no catch to it, like, crossing certain lines doesn't undo it in any way, that is a pretty radical belief. It is nice to know gay and trans people are alright under your view of Christianity. What I don't get about it, is that the only difference between people in hell and heaven are people who had a certain belief or prayed a certain prayer, and because of that, no matter how bad or good they are, the only determining factor of where they go is Jesus. It seems a bit arbitrary, a sort of Mr beast video type thing, except losing is very very very bad. Do you believe in the traditional hell with fire and lava? Also, if there aren't any consequences to sinning, then what is to keep everyone from living a materialistic lifestyle, accepting abortion, trans surgeries, adult content, violent tv and video games and so on?

      Personally i mainly journal but another thing I do is outwardly express my gratitude, to others or just out loud (but it isnt a habit of mine.) Ex. Me and a bunch of my friends walked for like 2 hours straight around where we live and I was expressing how beautiful the trees and sky was. Not exactly the same thing but it feels like it gives the same result, more positivity more gratitude.

      No, I haven't looked into it but it just sounds weird, talking to some guy about our sins. Like believing in Christ and his sacrifice means you realize that you are sinful and cannot save yourself, pretty much confessing your sins to God. All saved individuals have the Holy Spirit so I dont see why we cant talk to Him.

    wasting your teenage years is not wasting your teenage years. if you indulge in it, there isnt a clear reason for instant gratification. not by god, you could say its a test. if you learn about his creations, life and evolution, it doesnt make sense. its just kinda funny because your instant gratification is your mind trying to form an identity and set yourself apart from the beliefs of others, and to not be bound by the same beliefs. yet youre not fit for it. you still have societal norms ingrained in you and you are paranoid of rejecting them, because you know your comfort zone is miniscule and you will not last not depending on authority.

      First, chill this is a TH-cam comment section, not an interrogation. Anyways, there is a lot of fun stuff, just because something is fun doesn't mean it is good for you (I'm sure drinking is fun.) Sure video games every now and then won't hurt, but when you do it in excess, only playing video games is terrible for you. I still play video games sometimes, but if that is the only thing you do then you ain't helping yourself, especially if you aren't working to improve in anything. You probably aren't like this but imagine a guy who plays video games everyday all day, and when he graduates, he doesn't know what to do with his life. He works a boring job with no purpose. He would say the same thing, why should I quit its fun. Because you wasted the time you had to make your life better. If he is happy like that then I don't care. But me personally I would hate that. Think how the people that raised you would feel to see you waste all the opportunities you got because you wanted to have fun. I personally value my future positioning in life more than having a lot of fun, but this video isn't for everyone. If you disagree then cool.

      I don't know specifics and I haven't been through what you have so I don't have the best advice. But my general advice for dealing with pass mistakes is simple in saying it but can be hard in execution. I believe that we talked about this same concept the last time you commented. You need to forgive yourself, look at the situation and learn from it. What you did wrong and what you could've done instead. And then move on and make new friends and try not to make the same mistakes you previously made. Chances are once a bridge has been burned it won't be reconstructed. Quote from Kung Fu Panda: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift... that's why they call it present” Don't let your history ruin your gift, forgive, learn, move on.

    Then step two would be to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Reference acts 2:38

      To me this sounds like you believe that water baptism is required for salvation. If not then disregard what is below. I never talked to someone who believes this so I hope to hear what you think about what I say. So if baptism is required to be saved then how do you reconcile all the other verses that say how to be saved that leave out water baptism (Acts 16:31, John 3:16, Romans 10:9, Acts 10:43, John 6:47). And what about some of the people in Acts 10:47 who received the Holy Spirit, which we are sealed with until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30), and yet have not yet been baptized. Also I've heard the argument of people saying that acts 2:38 means that the people have been saved in the previous verse and are asking what they should do next and they say to repent and be baptized. Not to be saved, but because they are already saved and I would like to ask you what you think of that.

    God certainly does exist, for how could this vast universe with such intricate systems exist without a creator? Everywhere I look I see the work of God, the essence of life is within everything, that sole energy that drives all living things to strive for prosperity is pure evidence of God. Even if people cannot fathom or believe that there is an afterlife the lack of connection with the divine will corrupt your life and make you more likely to sin in ways that harm yourself and others. So essentially if you have no connection or understanding to a higher self or enlightened ones your life will become hell while on the flip side if you do have that understanding you will live a divine life.

      Real, I see God when I see nature, when I see people, when I look up at the sun rises and the sunsets, when I look up at the moon and stars I see Him. It is truly an amazing feeling to have knowing that He is watching and that He loves you. Praise the Lord

    He exists. This is how I found out. I couldn't just "believe" what people told me. I couldn't comprehend God because I viewed Him as external and judgmental. I didn't really comprehend the Trinity, or that Jesus was the embodied Holy Spirit and why God the Father really is ONLY available thru Jesus. I said prayers all my life, never really being sure who I was supposed to be talking to. Finally I hit this "invisible wall" in life, felt like I never got anything right, and started praying for Jesus, again, to come into my heart (because I wasn't sure I got it right the 1st TWO times) and asked Him to fill me with the Holy Spirit to take over everything because I made a mess of everything. I didn't want control of anything anymore. I didn't want to manage life anymore. This prayer went on for like an hour. I kept talking until I was out of words and then I told Him I was out of words. I asked him to show me what to do because I was missing something, there was something that I just didn't get. Then I started feeling lighter and less burdened, and the feeling kept getting more intense. I actually felt like I had taken a drug or something because anxiety and pain and stress were just dissipating away. Things that normally made me cry or raging angry just didn't bother me anymore. I was amazed and I thought, this will end any second now, because I feel too good. It stayed with me and I wasn't sure if the prayer had done it but I said another prayer and said "Lord if that's You thank you, give me more." Then it got even more intense. I could go on all day about it, but I was being filled with the Holy Spirit. I'd been "around" it in church, and it made me want to cry, but this was IN me, not around me. I felt differently about people and I looked at them differently. I went to the TH-cam channel of the church where my brother is a missions pastor. (Not the main pastor.) I knew it was a church I could trust. So I started listening to some of the sermons and some other channels too. Now all of a sudden the things they said were making sense. I kept up a lot of intense prayer. Within 36 hours I got my first dream confirmation and it showed me and my husband inside our home with a large demon outside our house trying to break in to our life but unable to. This demon was huge and he was beating on a wall with his fists putting big cracks in it and determined to get back in. There have been more dreams and visions since. That was just the first. I've never had dreams like that, which are so incredibly clear cut you can't miss the point. A "voice" kept saying to me to get back into the gospel story. I dove into my Bible like a starved animal and still haven't come up for air. Above all, I feel the burning need to share the Word with everyone and I am emboldened to do it by knowing it's absolute Truth. We are all called to share it and to me, not sharing it feels like a direct disobedience to what I feel within. Do not be afraid, do not hesitate, to share, if you are doing it in love for another person you can't go wrong.
