So cute - you made a bunting using your swatches. This has to be one of my favorite yarn shopping tour. Can't wait to see what you knit up with your Hjelholts yarn - very curious about that yarn as well. I just need to stop buying warehouse quantities of yarn. 😂
@@Enig_Mata thank you! Yes very excited about Hjelholts, I’ve heard great things about its wear 🥰
Hi, love your May Ball wrap! The colour choice is perfect. Is the positive ease worked into the pattern sizing? I couldn’t figure that out 😅. I’m used to patterns that give both bust measurements and finished garment measurements or have a schematic but I guess because of the adjustability of the garment the finished measurements aren’t included
@@AC-iv3ys thank you! Yes the ease is already worked into the sizing, so select based on your bust measurement + the ease :) I agree I prefer a bit more details from patterns usually!
Hi Juliette! beautiful yarns, I enjoyed watching.
@@nikitinaknits thank you 🥰
How did you do the increases for the vest? Is that a special technique? It looks really good
@@sarahroos8274 thank you! they’re just regular m1r m1L :)
Thanks for posting this video with your very useful opinions on the Copenhagen yarn stores you visited
@@karenn3203 thank you, glad you found it useful ! :)
I love seeing people's stashes too because I'm also nosey! You have selected some beautiful colors. Happy knitting and good luck with your transition to Switzerland!
@@Mysticthreads thank youuu 🥰🥰
wait omg i love your swatch decor!!! i was getting distracted by it this whole video im inlove w how u did that !
Thank you!! 🙏🏻
I am impressed, you found out the Metro system in such a short time. You are absolutely right, Nørreport is a big hub, here are metro, buses, s-train and trains. Fun fact, Nørreport has the most passengers in Denmark, even more than Copenhagen Central Station.
Yes I found the metro super easy to use! Wow didn't know that about Nørreport :)
Thanks for the tip about Gepard yarn at Uldstedet, will pay them a visit next time i CPH! I've been at Tante Gron once,
Have fun!
I live in the wrong country, UK. It would be so amazing to visit real yarn shops. I'm South African, but live in the UK. We had a lovely shop where I lived and didn't know that it would be so different here. Hate buying yarn without feeling it. And no knitting culture in Cambridge. Unfortunately I'm too old to travel now, but would have loved to visit the Scandinavian countries with their strong cultural identities. Thank you for sharing.
Haha I was thinking I should move to Denmark and that I was definitely living in the wrong country too!!
I've heard that sometimes changing the type of needle used (metal vs wood vs plastic) can help correct row gauge while maintaining stitch gauge.
Ohhh good to know thank you!
Oooo if only I could I would! Will put Copenhagen on my bucket list now. Just need a nice lottery win. Thanks for sharing 😊
Glad you enjoyed!!
I would like to knit the Moby sweater 😊
A question. With the Moby sweater do you measure your chest and then add the positive ease eg 36 + 15 🤔
I measured my chest then added about 25 cm of ease as that's the fit I want!
@@KnitwithJuliette thank you. I don’t want to get it wrong 😑
Just discovered your channel and this is an absolute fabulous thoughtful and thorough roundup. I’m saving this for my trip. Have a great weekend! @dotsandolives
Welcome to the channel, glad you enjoyed :)
The cami looks sooo good. I bought the pattern immediately when it came out. Can't wait to find just the right yarn for it 😊
@@kristintamm502 thank you!! You’ll have a blast with your cami 🤩
Thanks for the shoutout! 😄 I maaaaay be done with my PhD Vest by the time I record my next episode!! Also I can't wait to see your second version in that gorgeous teal! Please don't feel rushed or like imposter syndrome though!! I think there's just a lot of people in this test group who are very speedy hahah Also also loving the green Moby!!
@@JordbaerKnits ohhh excited to see your FO! Thank you for your kind words 🥰🥰
❤❤❤TU for sharing
Interesting comparison of KFO Merino and Sandnes Garn Sunday! I noticed similar differences. I found Sandnes Garn more splitty when knitting than the KFO Merino. KFO Merino seemed more rustic (but "rounder") when knitting, yet it softened up considerably after blocking. KFO Merino (in the colorway oatmeal) also bled quite a bit into the water. KFO Merino and Sandnes Garn Sunday are about the same price for me in the US, and I'm thinking I may choose KFO Merino more often if colorways aren't a factor.
Yes I found the Sunday a bit splitting too, and had a similar experience of the KFO heavy merino in bark bleeding a lot at the first wash! I think I’ll go more for KFO for tops from now on but Sunday will stay a great option for jumpers :)
I planning on knitting the Moby sweater for my husband and I‘d like to join a KAL for it for motivation.
Yay I'll try to organise a KAL for the summer :))
❤
❤
Love the colours of the Porcelain 2.0! I'm thinking of making this in the fall, with a green as the contrast colour and white as the main colour 😊
Thank you! That is also a great combo, we’ll be matchy matchy 🥰
I've got a languishing Moby Vest on the needles that I haven't touched for a couple of months 🫠 I'd be totally game for a Summer KAL to get it doneeeee!
Ohhh let’s do it!!!
Had to paused to post this comment: OMG love your gauge swatch garland!!!
Hahaha thank you!! It was a super quick diy and a great way to use my gauge swatches :))
we had such similar yarn adventures in Copenhagen! I had no clue that the ladder in Bruun Strik was actually functional and not just decoration though 😂
Hope you had a great time! Maybe it was decoration and I made a fool of myself 🤣
This is the content we all need 🫶🧚
Hihi thank you 🥰🥰
Funny, I found your channel today and was watching all your videos. After finishing the last one I saw it was posted a month ago and I was wondering when you would post again. I was keen on the Copenhagen trip (my dream). And at that moment my notifications told me you had just posted a few seconds ago 😄
Haha thank you, the stars must be aligned!! Hope you get to go to copenhagen soon, i had a lovely time :))
@@KnitwithJuliette I live in Canada now and have a bunch of kids to look after. Hopefully in fa ew years when they can be left home alone for a week without burning the house down 😂
Just found your channel. Your red Stockholm looks beautiful! I love Colourmart yarns! I have quite the stash of different yarns from them and blocking the garment is always like magic 🤩
Welcome! Thank you very much, and yeah can't wait to block my colourmart vest!
what an informative video !!! love to hear you make comparisons between things, you explain it all so well! Please keep doing that :D
Ahh thank you for that feedback it’s very appreciated, glad you enjoyed it Vanissia 🥰
Love your color choices! How many cm of ease does your may ball wrap garment have for you?
Thank you!! I have 11cm of ease on the wrap but this could also be adjusted based on how tightly or loosely your wrap the garment :)) I was in between sizes and chose the smaller one, as the next one over would have given me 21 cm so a bit too loose!
Love your color choices! I´m way too intimated to knit the porcelain sweater and here you are planning a second one. Are you planning on doing a video on your vest designing process?
Thank you!! The porcelain was I think a great first time colourwork (I had 0 experience prior to that) so appart from the minor fit issues I had the colourwork itself was very easy to follow :) I might consider a video on the vest pattern making process yes!!
I was supposed to go run errands but I guess now I´m sitting down with my gift knit. The red really suits you with your dark hair! Giving Monica Geller vibes.
Knitting >>> chores 😂 Thank you so much!! I love Monica’s style in the earlier seasons :))
Oh the Eun sweater in that beautiful yarn would be stunning 🤩
Eeeeee im leaning more and more towards the Eun 👀🥰
Would You Consider Knitting a Red Cable Knit Turtlenck Sweater!?
Ohhh red cables would be gorgeous! probably not in turtleneck as I don't think they suit me :)
@@KnitwithJuliette Well How About A Red Cable Knit Sweater That Does Suit You Then!?
Really cosy video. Hope everything with your vest pattern goes well!
Thank you so much :)))
Enjoyed your podcast. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your progress on your WIPs and vest design.
Thank you so much! I'm excited to share more about my knitting journey :)
This was great, well done for your first video !!
Thank you so much Vanissia <3
Well done on your first podcast! Really enjoyed this 🥰
Thank you!! I love your videos as well :))
