Mostly basic stuff but was helpful! Interviewed 2 days after I watched this and a few other videos and I NAILED IT. Showed up to my interview wearing Merch from their store under my Polo tee ready to start. Went 2 days before and learned their menu and products, human and canine. Didn't mention I had interview coming up, I was first interview of the day, so when the manager opened the door at 10am I was first in line! He realized I was just in the store. Literally my minimal effort got me the 1 spot out of 5 people they hiring

I think it’s better to be honest and say you’ve never really been in the store but that won’t stop you from learning and understanding the products

This is the problem trying to get into the industry you have to almost have experience i have a ton of knowledge and can't seem to get the job due to people with experience

this is the problem with the dispensarys how are you supposed to have experience with cannabis it you never worked at a dispensary this is the problem I'm having its a cult i swear how are you ever supposed to get experience when they don't hire you because you have never worked at a dispensary and do know a shit ton of experience with cannabis.

I don't see how knowledge of the product can't be taught.... I actually worked Starbucks and never really drank coffee before... So how did I get that job? No experience, very little knowledge of them as a company, so how did I get that job? 90% of my jobs weren't off of knowledge of the company and such it's confidence in yourself that no you may not have the knowledge but that you can gain that knowledge.

The industry in my state doesnt pay shit, even a electrician at a grow facility pays less than 25,30 a year. Its booming but still a greedy popularity contest over here.

How can you work at a dispensary if you don't have a high school diploma or GED?

As a filipino achieving my dream job to work in a pot dispensary is challenging. Not just the language barrier but also there is alot of things that I still need to know.

I am in missouri and we are about to have some medical shops opening nearby. It is my passion and always have been but my personal question that I cannot find a answer to anywhere is...do you think paying for a seminar to learn more about the specifics of the business and learning how to get into the business is a good investment? They have a couple legitimate ones to attend but I dont even know if a certificate would be appropriate for getting hired to a newly opening shop

How can you have cannabis industry experience if it just became legal in some states though? That’s one question I get asked at every place that just opened, I feel like it would be rude to ask them the same question but is a good question. A better question would be what skills can you provide to this industry and what skills and soft skills will make you a good asset to the team?
