As soon as Loki takes any damage (1 point or more), heroes in the same location as Loki and his Master Trickster threat card must immediately take 1 damage; that resolves the requirement of the card.

@@familymeeple ok. We had a rules argument last night about it. And I seem to be right. On a hero’s turn whether they hit him for 1, 2 or 3. Hero’s there take one damage in return. Cool. Thought this is the way it worked.

That would certainly be my reading of it, else it would state "for each damage..."

@@disciple012 I took went back and forth on this one for a long time. In the end, I confess, it was totally the GM-Less D&D system that hooked me - after that, adding everything else followed suit. Glad to have it all, for sure - just need to get it to the table now! 🤣 (Plan is to play through some (at least) of the adventures before taking a proper look at the d&d aspect. I understand Many of the characters will be the same - do wonder if the story itself is the same too 🤔

@familymeeple I was back and forth on this because I think League Of Dungeoneers was happening around the same time and I couldn't afford both. I saw that some of this is coming to retail, but I'm not sure if everything is....

​@@disciple012 The struggle is real, when multiple big crowdfunding projects hit at the same time - is never to decide which to back or not. Knowing what's going to be available at retail at a later can certainly help for sure 🤔👍

I'll be diving in shortly to finish punching tokens and unpacking cards. (I did raise a query if sleeves were still available as I hadn't realised these had not been included in my pledge 😞 - I'm awaiting a response)

@@familymeeple I'm working on sleeving all of the cards now. Been going strong for 4 hours over 2 days. I started with the smallest cards first, finished them yesterday. Today, I'm working on the poker sized cards and there are a lot of them. Also, I have no idea which cards go behind which divider. I mean, I can guess on some where the cards have names that are the same as the divider. But, I will need to look up what goes behind the dividers named NPC, PVP, Flask, Fate, and Other 1 to 5... UGH. They should've included a picture if what the cards look like for each card-divider. All we have is page 5 of the rulebook, and that doesn't match the names on the card-dividers. Also, all of the smaller cards don't fit in the box organizer. I wish they moved the dragon out of this box and gave us room for all of the cards to be placed standing up. I did watch Phlanx06's video where he shoved some small cards in with the dragon. That's just dumb.

@@timf7354 I found I had a similar experience with Chronicles of Drunagor... Lots of cards with dividers and very little to no information and how to store them (in fact, I've still got the list of those cards to finish sorting!!!). Looks like will be much the same again! 🙄😞 Truly baffles me the expectation of knowledge (or else sheer lack of preparation) in some of these areas.

@@familymeeple Also, I didn't order the same things that you ordered. I got the Super Box Pledge (Storage Box 1 and 2 already stocked like your video) and the Pledge Manager New Items Combo for $99 which included the Sleeves, Elder Dragon, Plastic Tokens, and Boards and Dice. I didn't see your video unboxing those. I mean, it did unbox the plastic tokens, but the boards I got didn't have paper boards, they were thick, and they came with a black Arena the contest bag with 2 bags of 20 sided dice, 8 dice in each bag. So, I bet this is the discrepancy.

The squares on the maps are 25x25mm. The bases on normal sized miniatures are 25mm circles.

Hey! Thanks for the comment 🙂 To be honest, I'd say that's a difficult one - each pack bringing it's own unique set of challenges and gameplay nuance. I think, if I was going to choose just one expansion (beyond the Core Box & Barricades), it would be Enemies Among Us, but that's because I appreciate the theme of seeing heroes previously loved and lost now being pit against, as they're controlled by their new evil overlord! 😜

For me, that was the massive seeming point of the MDS - minimal setup time: gets to the table in around 5 mins ❤️

@@familymeeple the set up isn't the problem it's the time to play that is prohibitive. Don't often get the 2/3 hours it seems to take.

I'm currently working on a custom system for the miniatures - the notion is to get everything into 2 Kallax slots - using 2 big boxes (original Core Box for all gameplay content like maps, darkness, cards, etc. and Apocalypse box for all mini's [bar the Big 4 Horsemen]) and then use the "Dragon box" as a "campaign box" for currently used character contents, cubes, items, skills, etc. So far, I'm on-course! (but still a WIP!).

I confess, I'm still in the throes of organising everything. I'm happy I've managed to get 95% of everything I need in it's entirety into just one box, bar mini's! Now creating something of a storage solution to crunch down the mini's space - hoping to get everything (bar the big humungous min's) into 2 Kallax slots ;-)

Yes, it absolutely is indeed: without a funny! Ha ha! 2 hours to effectively open and check contents (not to mention spending an hour plus online just double checking all boxes had been received!). Spent a few hours watching Christmas TV with the family whilst sleeving the 1100 cards. Now to work out how their wonderful organisation system works ❤️🎁🎄🔥

Hey! thanks for the feedback. Yes, I think I received a similar comment in another video and I clarified that this was very much a house rule I applied when I first introduced this with my kids as co-op play (making things a little easier for their introductory games 😏). I believe I "tighten up" on myself in future videos as the campaign progresses 🙂

Agree on the payment plan option - believe the likes of Gamefound offer this as standard now but not seen any changes/updates on the KS front, relying on those creating projects to provide suitable options. I too sunk lots into Marvel (not that I'm regretting it) and am very interested to see what level of compatibility it brings

@@familymeeple Yeah, when I back an actual small creator (what the platform is supposed to be) for like $20-$60 it isn't a problem, but when a major company drops a $500+ dollar option that I won't receive for an entire 12-18 months it's stupid that I can't make payments on that.

One of the design ideas I had but not got around to testing was effectively putting a roof on top that becomes the room (s) to play on...

Interesting. I struggled with the DC movies but absolutely loved the Marvel movies. I did enjoy the DC TV shows however (albeit rather cheesy). Interestingly, for me, it would definitely have been the other way round - I'm more likely to purchase DC on the basis I can play it with Marvel; don't think I'd have been as invested the other way around.

Drop a $1 on the KS whenever it launches! That way you're in but not in for a lot!

Dceased is an amazing series and IMO better Zombie story than Marvel Zombies and I'm a huge marvel fan.

@@Rshawokc Marvel Zombies was fun. DCeased was more cohesive and had better character stories imho. I also think DCeased was more well executed than Marvel Zombies. Glad we get both!
