@TimeyWimeyReview Well, it was a ratings flop with me, because I didn't watch! But, I did record it in HD, which if played back, looks exactly as it was transmitted. Not like the old VHS days! ... My other favourite programme, Coronation Street, has managed what New Who couldn't. It's run continuously for 64 years, with the SAME theme tune, and it still feels like the same show. Doctor Who has changed beyond recognition, and so, sadly, it's a "no" from me!

What choice do they have? Nobody is watching the new stuff! The bbc new Who is so awful!! So bad, in fact, I wouldn't even class it as cannon!! Best just pretend it doesn't exist, and wait for grown-ups take over making it, and hope for the best!!

Thank you for your comment. Loved your 5 best and 5 worst list. You are right Murray Gold did have some fantastic themes for the Doctor and Ruby. Overall a good season but not a great season. I do think there was a lot of people finding their feet plus finding that balance of fresh start for a new audience and rewarding loyal fans with continuity. A balance that i have to say is still off. Let's hope the bar has been raised for 2025 😁👍

Not great but certainly not a disaster. Let's hope the bar has been raised for Season Two. It can happen and has been done before. Sylvester McCoy's first and second season as the Doctor is a fine example 😁👍

Thank you for sharing. Nice idea with the 12 days of Christmas presents for your daughter. It's a Wonderful Life is a all time classic but I'm sorry to say. It is one that I struggle to get into. Alistair Simm version of A Christmas Carol is good. Not gonna lie, out of all the versions. It's mainly the Muppets Christmas Carol. It's sounds like you had a good family Christmas 😊👍

Sorry, but the original wasn't 'nearly five hours long.' Ten episodes at roughly 23 minutes each = 3 hrs, 50 minutes.

I didn't want a regeneration. Better to leave us with the mystery Series 6B. But I positively hated the inclusion of future Doctors.

Thank you for your comment. I will admit that some of its messages in Doctor Who were a bit heavy handed. Particularly some of the episodes written by Chris Chibnall. However, I will defend the themes and thought provoking stories that has taken place in Doctor Who's 60 plus year history 👍

Thank you for your comment. I would recommend going back and taking a look. Especially the Matt Smith era. Yes not all the episodes were bangers but Matt was always on top form. The Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker eras are not the strongest (in case of Peter's not my particular favourite) but again there were some brilliantly written and well made episodes to feast on. I'm curious, does this mean you did not watch the 50th Anniversary Special The Day Of The Doctor? 👍

@TimeyWimeyReview If I did, I've forgotten it. I don't think I did. I remember "Day Of The Daleks" in 1972! I can remember Who from 50 years ago, but New Who is instantly forgettable. I seem to remember something about a Dalek "not storing stuff" on New Year's Eve? Was that Dozey Whittaker? I have very little enthusiasm or interest in New Who. One of the crappest lines in the entire history of Doctor Who, was David I-Love-Myself Tennant, "Water always wins!"

Fair enough. There's some good NuWho but if it's not for you, it's not for you. I was the same with the JJ Abrahams Star Trek so I understand your point of view. So what are your go to Classic Doctor Who stories? 👍

@TimeyWimeyReview All of them! Even "Timetrash!" 🤣 ... My earliest memory is of "Mind Of Evil" in 1971. "The Sea Devils" really scared me as a 10 year old, in 1972! All four original Doctors were amazing. They had their highs, and lows, although I thought Tom's stories declined in quality towards the end. I've been plugging the holes in my collection, and I'm planning to watch all existing episodes in order, on a 65" LG OLED TV, with Blu-ray where possible. I'm also super-excited to have acquired, at great cost, the 4K UHD Dalek Movie Steelbooks! They are going to be a real treat! Better than Shooty bloody Gateaux! 🤣

I imagine you are not alone and that other Whovians also enjoyed the colour version than the original black and white. Personally I preferred the original but I was really impressed with The War Games In Colour. I'd say it was a major improvement to The Daleks In Colour 😁👍

Thank you for your comment. I understand where you are coming from. Equally, from the BBC's point of view, why this has been removed. However, this should have been reuploaded by now with a replacement voice. Surely it wouldn't cost them that much to replace? I know it's not a major priority for the BBC but I feel they are drawing more attention to this episode being missing. It would be forgotten about if it was back in BBC Iplayer 👍
