single riders no pre show,take the normal line and you go into a pre-journee

All the buildings in the area are newly constructed and consistently themed. The ride that was there previously was pronounced "spoke slot" (written spookslot), which translates to "ghost castle". It was an automated walk in show that was built in 1978. I loved it, the atmosphere, the theming and the music, but the technology was old and the whole thing became a fire hazard. Therefore they decided to replace it with something new. When Efteling makes a dark ride they mean it will be literarily pitch black. They reused a tiny bit of the old castle, but basically everything you see is new and was constructed in the last 18 months or so. They did a magnificent job.

Efteling is a bit in the build and rebuild mood in the winter. The winter isnt the most favorite season to visit the efteling. The problem has been efteling has had a few bad years due to covid and all. the hotel guests are getting the front parking spot that's the tunnel. And they are trying to build new rides and some rides need big refreshers like now dance macabre is done we gonna hopefully see a big works on the fata morgana. And yes the dutch delights is a bit meh even dutch efteling fans commented on that :D the winter event is slowly starting up atm and with halloween we had the opening of dance macabre and soo around new year there is a huge festivities. if the ride breaks down they tell people. Even in other languages. At the moment with the winter weather there are some rides closed that are a bit warm weather dependend like the water ride isnt open in the winter and the sparkles on symbolica is also for the winter festivities also the emblem is different in the winter its a snowflake in the summer i believe its just the default symbolica logo. THe fabel fish is just repaired the cut the roof open to take it out check it out and fix it. carnaval festival is bassicly a tour through the world and yeah its an ear wurm :P. They change carnaval festival after comentary same with monseur canibal. its now called sirocco its bassicly the same underframe but now themed to sinbad. and the kids maze that was next to it is called archipel and yes they did change piranha they removed all rocks due to dangerous rock croppings and they removed them all and add some extra water spewers and they minorly adjusted the ride. And baron does run on a chain and they can adjust the splash :D they just redid the water part seemingly the chain was either damaged or wrongly so they pumped down the lake and fixed stuff. As i said they have been hard at work to fix all the older rides to make them less problem prone. They even added new wood to joris and added slight parts with titan track.

You’re saying everything in you can see on ride is above you… but actually, there’s a crypt below the ride system. It’s not that easy to see and I’ve heard the park is still working on trying to optimise the programming so you get to see the crypt better. But there are animatronics and such in there too.

No the building isn’t reused it is completely new. Only some walls (not part of de building) are reused from spookslot. You missed out some amazing theming by choosing the single rider. We have a video about the backstory online and on a short notice one with 66 hidden details at Danse Macabre.

It’s really interesting how the Motion Stage is being perceived the new, modern Madhouse style attraction. Especially since both debuted at Efteling. I do understand the comparisons. Moving around a highly themed room in a really cool way. Being a mix of (family-thrill) attraction and show. Preshows (or in the case of Danse Macabre a very elaborate queue, with a short pre show storytelling section on the graveyard.

The drop is a bit flawed and is supposed to drop down to the tomb under the abby. But Intamin has some issues working it out. Intamin stays on site I heard from people at the park to get all the flaws out of this new system. Disney and Universal have shown interest and visited Efteling to come and watch what this ridesystem can do. The ride feels unfinished. I do not think you can compare a teacups ride on steroids to a madhouse to be honest.

The old building was in such a bad state that it wasn't possible to safe most of it. Only parts left are some rock you see somewhere in the queue or the exit I believe. The story is that the people at the organ at least the man is the family of jozef charlatan the gyluy You walk past in the queue he disappeared with his full Orchestra and has never been found. And they discover he has been take by the unknown and they discover that all and they give you a try to fight the unknown. The little cat in the queue with the yellow/blue eyes is the unknown. The ride system is the prototype. Efteling is know to have some prototypes. Villa volta is a prototype madhouse. Fata morgana is a unique ride fully constructed by efteling themselfs. And now they have the first platform ride in the world from intamin. And efteling has said they still are seeing what they wanna adjust to the flow of the ride. I'm happy the didn't do the default screen what's often seen with these kinda ridesystems.

I've flown in BA First a few times - like you, using points and companion vouchers - and have always had good experiences - especially the inflight service. Oh, and the free wifi for BAEC members is for messaging only, so probably not fast enough for serious browsing. About the lounges: with BA Gold status or a ticket in First, you can use the First Wing (like you did) and this takes you directly into the Galleries First lounge (not 'First Class'). With a First ticket or BA Gold Guest List status, you can go through and into the Concorde Room. With a Business Class/Club ticket or BA Silver status, you use normal (or priority) check-in and security. Then you find the escalators you went down to go to your gate, go up two levels and directly above the Concorde Room is the Galleries Club Lounge which you would have access to. Blue or Bronze BA status doesn't give you lounge access, but someone could guest you in.

I don't know why this showed up in my recommended, but it's fun to see that they are still adding cool new attractions to the Efteling. As someone who is no longer living in the NL and went there last in high school, it was oddly nostalgic. Thank you for the vid! Also I thought the girls in the background discussing the absurdly high prices in themepark shops were hilarious.

It seems to me that seeing the queue on the very first ride created some sour mood which caused everything after that to be underwhelming, until Symbolica came and then it was almost forced to admit things weren't crap. In my opinion having to wait 30 - 40 minutes might not be great, but I've been to Efteling dozens of times as a child where one hour was perfectly normal - and I still came home feeling I had a fantastic day.

You're very underrated man, I didn't expect such a high quality vlog. If I were to go to Tokyo with my family I feel like Asakusa would be the best place to stay, it certainly has its charms and this is one of them.

The cat is actually the shapeshifting monster that killed the orchestra. It transforms into its monster form at the beginning of the show, walking around in the dark. Funny thing is that this was developed the same way as the madhouse. Efteling had an idea and went to a manufacturer to see if they where willing to build this idea. Which resulted in Villa Volta with Vekoma, Vliegende Hollander with KumbaK and Danse Macabre with Intamin

Whilst you were in the travelodge you referred to the experience as first class, its business class, in cramped seats with little storage or privacy, one that has been left behind by superior aircraft and airlines.

Anything about galactica or the new ride coming?

Great display this year I just feel it's a bit confusing with the phalanx story and it sounded a bit off with the fireworks

The advert you showed with the B&M invert on looks like the invert that was relocated from Japan to walygator park in France, unfortunately it’s not well looked after, but it still rides okay

I’m planning on going from Tokyo to Fuji Q and then from Fuji Q to nagashima, do you think this is doable with buses and trains?
