Yeah I blew my fuse. This lady’s and gents is why you don’t just wrap wires around and use actual connectors because you run the risk of harming your system. Luck for me I have a radio fuse to protect me from fuck ups but you might not so never under any condition do that. I’ll post an after math video soon. Like and sub

It won’t leak water but you’ll short the entire thing out and /or start a fire when the positive cable gets smashed in between the door and jamb plus the dash kits are dummy proof, all the colors match, I’ve done dozens of them, and the “rem” is remote turn on for you amp, so when you turn on the radio, the amp comes on.
Correct. Except for the wire being broken. I’m still trying to make a new video and I’ve shot it about dead ass 50 times and just don’t like how it’s edited or structured or whatever but once I find my style I still have that same wire from 4 years ago

DO NOT just make a big ball of wire and let it pinch, do use ferrules. Ferrules do not allow the set screw to chew threw and break the wires. Oh and before I forget, NEVER run your power wire through your door jam. It is 100% completely UNSAFE. That is a great way to VERY possibly start a carbeque.
I just explained what I did not what to do it’s meant for other ti use the knowledge to apply it to their car. I made a newer video showing why it’s wrong to just twist shit together

I would normally recommend keeping the fuse away from the interior of cars as shown in my upcoming video I’m editing. Bad things can happen if that fuse fails and it’s better to get metal hot rather than burn a car down

Nope just make sure the rem wire is wired to something that only turns on when you have the keys on. If you don’t want your lights dancing with the music on late night drives tho you will need a capacitor. And extra battery is unneeded in todays age in capacitors

Wrong way to run the power wire , never run it outside the car through the door jam. Because someday it might get smashed in the hinges and there goes your electrical system. There is always a hole in the firewall and if not in the place where you need you can always drill a hole and use a grommet, because it’s better and safer than being lazy and doing it wrong. I have been installing radios since the late 80s in my personal vehicles. And I have learned what to do and what not to do.
I’m completely and entirely aware that’s wrong. I stated that in the video and also that power wire is now in my challenger and still working perfectly fine because that door was basically never used. For my application it worked fine. For others id say hell no do not do that

the sub wiring is fine the only thing fucked is the radio wiring which has since been fixed

@@frankplancarte yep because it’s pushed against rubber. And that door is never opened. So in my specific case as I stated it’s completely fine and functional

You need at least 4 gauge speaker wire and then regular speaker wire for the remote on for amp and sub wiring

I installed mine, one thing that bothers me is when I start my car sometimes the sub humm or thumps rapidly, when I accelerate it stop it only do it when I start my car up.

Or double check that you put them in the right spot in your wiring harness behind your radio
You don’t need to change your stock deck unless your amp only has RCA hookups. Most have high output connections now.
Can you elaborate on this? I just ordered this little sub package myself and I have a 21’ Sonata.
Are there simple wires behind the center screen I can just tap into?
There also are converters for line outputs to RCAs I’m using some on my Kia Forte and I keep the same head unit since it’s control buttons are on the steering wheel and so it looks stock so people don’t even think there is a stereo system in there.
What size of gauge wire is that does it matter if I use 4 gauge wire will a 2000 watt even if I’m not using all the bass
The brand of wire doesn’t matter most times but never get under 4g for your power wire speaker wire would work for everything else
And to answer your question 4 g at 2000 watt will be calm and unfazed

I had a friend run the wire through the door, guess what happened, got called over the loud speaker at the bowling alley that his truck was on fire in the parking lot. Moral of story, wires we hot, metal to metal, caused a short and truck went up in a blaze. Anybody reading this DO NOT RUN WIRES THROUGH THE DOOR!

USE BUTT SPLICES, NEVER TWIST THE WIRES TOGETHER AND TAPE THEM. It's so damn easy, why did you do it the shit, unreliable way???

OMG Please NOONE do what this man did. You WILL end up grounding that power wire and starting a fire through your entire vehicle. Do Not Mount the amp to the box. If you take a little time you can find a way to run that safely into the engine firewall. And get the paint off any surface that you are grounding to. You will have issues if your not properly grounded.
I literally say don’t do this, I didn’t mount my amp to my box it’s just mounted to the back of the seat, and I did idk why you assumed I didn’t.
