Another season has come to a close as we take down the wall tent and winterize the camp to avoid another winter disaster! Putting away the stove and all our furniture as well as packing up the tent and our frame so everything is nice and dry when we return in the Spring to set it all up again!

    I learned this from an outfitter, cotton ball and Vaseline or any petroleum jelly. Split cotton ball smear P.J ( think sandwich) and in a wood stove it only take two one in back and one in front. Open the flew and watch it take off. Great fire starter. I carry some in my pack, in case I need to make a fire in the back country when hunting. They will start even if it's raining! Just thought I would share this with you. Be blessed

    How do you think your new setup will handle the snow this coming winter? I'm in Idaho, looking to do something similar! Really nervous, especially after seeing your collapsed wall tent.

      Yep you got it! At best we can only get out 1-2 weekends during heavy snow months (Nov - Feb). Just not worth the risk!

    For anyone planning to use this stove. Please follow the instructions and do your initial burn outside. This stove has oils that need to be burned off prior to using in your tent

    I bought my brand new and I paid 200 for it here in Washington and I love it. had it over 5 years and that heats my12 /14 tent up fairly quick. And i love it

    This guy is exactly why most elk are call shy. You drive a side by side in the car up bugle right outside of it. Get off the road 100 yards. You'll have more fun

    ive had mine for awile now and love it,i had to modify one of the legs. i had to upgrade to a 6in pipe. mine is not a permanent stove .so i run it out the window using 45s. couldnt find 45s in a 5 in stove pipe.enjoy yours

    I might be wrong about this. It looked like you had the spark arrester on upside down and facing into the stove pipe. I had always seen them facing up and around the outside of the stovepipe. Again I may be wrong. Nice video!!

    Do you have to lay down the floors of the wall tent? Do they come with the tent? How does that work?

      We actually put the floor in ourselves Chris. Built a deck and covered it with vinyl! You get tents with floors built in just depends what you’re looking for!
