Hades 2 is pretty fun

I'm no Not Harvard or Takibo, but man, shooting my way out of that last encounter with two hulks was super sick.

This took about 26 hours worth of attempts to learn, mostly because I'm bad at pattern recognition and learning when to be aggressive. But my god am I glad it's finally over. Oh, and yes, apparently this was an S-rank lol, but I think the game just gives that to you if you win at all.

Fun fight but man did it take a hot minute to learn. This was 9 hours of podcasts, sweat, and tea.

Snail Balteus took me nine hours, which is more than the entire rest of the run put together. What a lad. Honestly this was way more fun than I thought it would be, and WAY more doable, especially with assault armor and the boost kick. It's kind of like doing a sword only run but you get to sprinkle in some spice every now and then for clearing mobs. Anywho, I've got a supercut to make of this ...

After really learning Ibis, I was shocked to find she only took me 2 tries this time. The high ranking arena fights each took me 2 attempts too, but other than that this was an extremely smooth chapter, especially compared to how much of a clown fiesta chapter 3 was.

This chapter, this friggen chapter. This is the chapter where I started dying to arena fights. The tanks took me like 6 tries apiece, the missions got hard enough that I started dodging side objectives, and the overall pace of the game got a lot tougher. Hey hey! Here we are again. The death counter this time was actually pretty low! Died 2x to the smart cleaner, and 6x to the Sea Spider. Good god the Sea Spider has a lot of HP. This chapter really is a quite short speed bump in the grand scheme of things, but the Sea Spider is quite memorable.

So, I wanted to preserve the whole run in all its ignominy and suffering here on youtube, but I don't want to waste TOO much of your time, so I cut all the deaths. CH1 death counter: 1x to the BAWS tetrapod at The Wall, which was kind of hilarious. Move over 2B, there's a new best robot BU/TT in town! IBIS' tendency to run away after you land anything makes this fight reallllllly annoying, given that most of your damage output is a melee weapon on the starter AC.

So I sat down and ground out all the chapter 1 battle logs, millions of credits for all the parts, did all the arena fights, and tried to cook up a build that would work for the whole game with no fuss and no modification. Enjoyed 100%ing Armored Core 6, now it's time for the challenge runs. This one has been a whopper as AC6 challenges go; some of the fights have been super brutal without strong ways to build stagger, so this build is basically just "every weapon with good stagger", and then you get a choice of shoulder laser drones or the verts.
