A really good post romantic symphony. This takes you for a ride like its supposed to. Good orchestration and fine performance. I never heard this composer before but i want to hear more of his music.

The more I listen to that symphony the more I think that this is powerful music worthy of his great teacher Beethoven. You can subtract from Beethoven a couple of early symphonies because them are too Haydnian, but add a couple of Czernys.

DDR really made so many delights in films that are not commercial not for money but directed to human kind issues ...beauty..ugliness, pain and joy.

I have a CD of the 2nd & 3rd symphonies; and really like them. I just now thought I would use TH-cam to explore some other music of his. I have seen Antichrist once. I liked this First Symphony too, and will pursue the rest of his stuff that is available. I think he is a composer that speaks to me.

The sad final. They could cap the series with some outro, like a brief summary of the fortunes of the main characters in the aftermath of Bach's death.

One of the most beautiful film I ,ve ever seen! How can I express in a foreign language the pleasure I,ve felt every time looking it. I saw it lots! The excellant actor Thein with his severe eyebrow, his gaze, his play so human! Not only he, but the whole film with all of the actors are in their right place they are so authentic. Not mentioned the scenes, beautiful forests, life in old towns, and BACH,S MUSIC! It is a film for all seasons. Thank you very very much and people who made it. Mariann from Hungary
