    We dont know about his childhood so no true diagnosis can be given and he changes throughout the show. Its seems more like he is under severe stress and trauma plus selfish and narcissist traits but not a full narcissist. My mom is NPD she is a monster and has no recognition of her mistakes. Negan does, negan changes.

    It is ridiculous that a bad person (he is a dictator, after all) becomes "good" by spending a few years in prison. If that worked we wouldn't have the recidivism rates we have.

    Ow man I'm watching Dead City right now and would be so curious how you tackle that. Negan has got to be one of the most interesting villains turned anti-hero of this era. Kirkman did a wonderful job of not just killing off another "redeemed" bad guy but actually let him live and see how the story goes.

    I’m not a doctor or anything like that but from my understanding he could be a sociopath. A lot of people think that sociopath means 0 remorse 0 guilt etc. not all sociopaths are even necessarily bad they just have a cloudy moral compass. And they have empathy and such for certain people (typically not many) some in general have 0 remorse/empathy some have a little it really depends. Do I think negans a narcissist? 100% I agree. But I definitely believe there’s sociopathy mixed in there too.

    From what we know in season 10 there was a lawsuit, because of the event that happened during his coaching career. Negan said that he came close to killing the man who he was engaged in the lawsuit which could’ve alluded to the idea of him being in jail prior to the apocalypse. This doesn’t have an effect on Negan‘s behavior in childhood, but during an apocalypse most people would stabilize over time, as to out an appropriate government law enforcement and healthcare agencies people with serious psychiatric conditions would tend to do worse overtime instead of stabilize. From what is the seam in the ladder season they have shown Negan stabilizing. I do agree with your analysis of Negan having NPD, but if I was a psychiatrist NPD would not be the primary condition that I would be testing for based on the evidence given. I would’ve wanted him to go through the psychopathy checklist. Once he’s proven negative then we would look at NPD, and other antisocial disorders.

    Forcing us to play as Abby was so dumb. Had we as a player felt as connected to her as we did to Ellie it would've made more sense but that's just not the case, and since they had such an intense conflict players were forced to choose sides and it felt like playing as the enemy instead of what they intended-giving context to Abby's actions and making the player feel sympathetic towards her. Also seeing her kill Joel made it so much harder to sympathize with her afterwards as she literally killed the main character of the entire story causing players to hate her from the beginning and killing any chance of players liking her-let alone more than Ellie in the future.

    • @VannywiththeFanny
      @VannywiththeFanny 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah and then we wouldn't have agreed as much with Ellie. If you can't be open minded enough to accept another's Perspective why should we care about yours? And btw, I haven't been forced to do shit. I agree with who I agree with. I agree with both Abby AND Ellie. Idk why you wanna pick sides

    • @KeithgoesCrazy
      @KeithgoesCrazy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VannywiththeFanny I was open to see another perspective, but as I said it's harder when you see the totally brand new person who's perspective your seeing through kill the person you care about the most in the game. Games have a protagonist, antagonist and a series of events usually involving the two. When in the first two hours Abby is established as the main antagonist and Joel/Ellie are the protagonists as you play the first game and first two hours on the second game as them, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT players to feel when they are forced to play as the character who has already been made the villain of the story. Saying me not wanting to play as the then-villan of the story somehow invalidates my perspective/opinion on the topic is dumb af and idk where you pulled that bs out of. Also dummy I literally said IN DETAIL, when Abby and Ellie are constantly in intense conflict, with teams and side characters that also go against each other you can't equally like both sides. There's gonna be some type of favoritism based on who you like more. If you didn't feel that way then fine, that's you, every TH-camr who I've seen play the game and the majority of the reviews I've seen have had the players describe hating playing as Abby just as much as did, even more sometimes. You may have been fine with playing as both Ellie and Abby, but when other players like myself favorite Ellie and had to beat her ass as Abby we were pissed bc 1) We favorite Ellie and didn't want her to lose and 2) We didn't like Abby so we hated winning a fight as/for her-especially against Ellie. And the VAST majority felt that way alongside me.

    • @VannywiththeFanny
      @VannywiththeFanny 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KeithgoesCrazy Vast majority 😁👌 And I'm a dummy now....? Grow up. You act like we play as Abby immediately after Joels death. No. We play as Abby after we've killed everything she loves😅. Literally exactly like Joel did half a decade earlier. If by this point you still dislike Abby enough to literally set the controller down and not experience her perspective even after killing all her friends? Yeah, I can't take anybody serious if they've done that. Also I like Ellie plenty more than Abby but can still understand her enough to not hate her and pout the story "made me do something"😅. Little mistake- saying me not wanting to play as the "Then-Villian" somehow invalidates you. Nah it doesn't invalidate you.. BUT, by this point we've did like Joel did before us and killed everything Abby held dear, all her friends gone. Family, gone. All she has at the point we start playing as her is a Scar😐...If you still see Abby as the villain after all you've done thus far it completely proves my point that you guys are seriously bias against any POV that stands against Ellie or the memory of Joel. By this point (playing as Abby's part) you should be considering if you just played as the antagonist while being Ellie .... If you watch all those streamers play one thing is the same between all of them. They stay bloodthirsty for Abby the entire time. Even after her perspective and all, literally they'll be angry and wanting her dead while watching the Farmhouse scene after all is said and done. That's ridiculous as literal fck

    • @KeithgoesCrazy
      @KeithgoesCrazy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VannywiththeFanny Don't act as if this isn't how most TH-camrs, streamers and players of the game felt. It is, and it is for a reason. Also when you ask a question I answered in detail in response to the comment I answered it in, again, IN DETAIL, you are a dummy. Don't get in your feelings now. Also it doesn't matter how long it's been since Abby killed Joel, she still did tf. He was such a big presence in the game and so central to the story, his absence is felt at all times. Idk how you didn't notice that or process that. Also taking out her friends doesn't equate to taking her out, if it did Ellie would've killed them and walked away but she still wanted Abby, and Tommy convinced her taking out her friends was enough. Also when the story makes you do something you don't want to, it's irritating. If I had my way, I'd have let Ellie kick my ass as Abby, don't use half of a quote to support your argument. Also, do you not know wtf perspective is? OBVIOUSLY I'm bias because I like Ellie and Joel more, if you've taken this long to gather that then you really are slow. That's how almost everyone felt, bc we played the first game as Joel with Ellie there from the jump, so obviously we're going to take her side. And if you expect us not to judge Abby for what we know she's going to do in the future, your plain dumb. Also, I'M ONE OF THE ONES WHO WANTED HER DEAD AT THE END. To not only save her life after killing Joel, but giving her a pass the moment before we kill her was such a tease. We spent the entire game chasing her, and the moment we have the ability to complete the journey and kill her Ellie changes her mind and spares her. You can be objective about the game all you want, but the vast majority, including myself, really like Ellie and dislike Abby. And if you wanna complain about players being bias in favor of a player we played an entire game and a half as, then you again, are plain dumb. We played what, 4 hours, roughly, as Abby and a whole game and a half as Ellie. That's several times more playing time to grow a connection and grow care for Ellie then Abby, so OBVIOUSLY players will care more about her and be more in her favor. This is just how the vast majority feels, and if you can't accept that then your the one who needs to grow up.

      @@AdrianEXE Joel wouldn’t give away his name like that. Never. Ever. Ellie didn’t even give away her name to David when she had no reason not to trust him. The first game was beautiful. A story about a man finding a purpose to live in a shitty world. The second game? A girl tries to avenge the death of the man who saved her life aka her dad even tho she didn’t forgive him for even saving her life while she tries to hunt down the woman who killed him (after she saved him mind you. With that logic she should’ve killed Lev and Yara) but because “oh no revenge bad” she let’s the woman live even though she could’ve left her behind to die or just walked away even she really wanted her to live. Oh yeah and she has a girlfriend who she has no chemistry with. Literally their whole relationship is just “you’re so hot let’s have sex.” The only thing I thought was cute or nice was Dina trying to give Ellie her gas mask, which was kind of stupid because Ellie literally told her that she was immune but whatever. And no sane person would’ve watched the whole “bigot sandwiches” thing and not cringe or die of laughter. Being gay/trans has very little to do with why I dislike this game. The voice acting is great. The flashbacks are great. The graphics are great (even tho Ellie’s model is so different and off compared to her look in the first game). I’m happy for everyone who enjoys it. But I will say that Neil and some of the ND members are not good people. I am convinced that some of them have heart, but there have been a lot of controversy with them.

    • @AdrianEXE
      @AdrianEXE 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, you believe that Ellie had no chemistry at all with Dina? You keep making definitive statements like they are objective facts. She did have chemistry with her, as evidenced by the banter and love they showed each other throughout the game. A good example is when Ellie is consoled by her when she returns to the theater the second time. The game can be reduced to a revenge story with no pay off, but just for a second, I invite you to try to see things differently. I saw a story of Ellie dealing with her fear of being alone and her grief over losing the closest thing she had to family while simultaneously trying to hold on to any shred of humanity she had left. I already explained in the video why I thought she let her live . I don't want you to think that your criticism isn't valid. You have the right to disagree and interpret the game as you wish. As far as being labeled homophobic or transphobic, no one called you that, so I'm not sure why you brought that up. Maybe this game just wasn't for you, which is okay. With regards to what you said about TLOU 1, Ellie introduced Joel by name, to Henry, and he did not protest at all; this indicates, to me, that he doesn't really fear or isn't especially cautious about being identified. I mean, why would he? Most of the time, Joel tends to get rid of most witnesses and very few people know him by name. He just happened to kill someone who could of cured humanity. That incident for sure was going to be documented by whomever was left alive. Part of that of course depends on who the player left alive, I personally left the nurses and a few Fireflies alive at the end. Also, I agree the first game was great too.

      @katlyndobransky2419 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdrianEXE it’s just my opinion honestly. Dina was a fun character, but I didn’t really want the sequel to focus on Ellie’s love life or revenge for Joel. I wanted it to focus on the cure for the fungus, the main thing and concern. But no it had to be a revenge plot. Joel was disrespected in my opinion. I just don’t see him doing that. And I don’t hate most aspects of the game. Some of Abby’s story was fun. The flashbacks were good. The graphics were good. But the story lacked a lot. It focused on a message and a plot that didn’t really work for me. But if my opinion is valid, yours is too of course. This is just a game after all. And even though many disliked it, people also liked it too. I mean I’m more upset with Neil and ND than I am with fans of the game! And people have called me homophobic for not liking Dina and Ellie, meanwhile I loved Left Behind. I just figured I’d state some reasons as to why I disliked this game. But it’s been a year now, and I feel like just leaving this game behind. Many people have already I’m sure. I’ve replayed the first game many times, and never missed the cutscenes. And while the second game is superb with its gameplay, the story is hard to get through. But I’m glad you liked it none the less! We don’t all have to agree

    Metal Gear Solid 2 did it better with switching characters. Kojima's facebook page even publicly roasted lou 2. "The quality of the game represents its fanbase"

      The verified page on twitter named KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS claims that it is not their Facebook fan page. Here's is what their tweet said exactly on June 25th, 2020. "To clarify, it's not our page. " - Jay If you believe that the switch was better than that's your opinion and I respect that.

    Everyone knew Joel was gonna die. It's how he dies is stupid and bad writing. Like having tommy drop their personal information to strangers. Why is joel using his real name?

      The introduction comes after they helped each other survive, which in my opinion, helped establish some level of trust. After they introduced themselves Abby shares some personal information about where her friends were camped out. These two reasons, again in my opinion, are the reasons why Tommy released any information. I guess Tommy thought that the chances of a small group of fireflies, not only surviving, but being able to track down Joel were slim to none. He was wrong, and his attempt to help and be kind backfired. I understand if you thought it was bad writing. You're entitled to your opinion. As far as Joel using his real name, I don't ever recall him using a fake name when he met Henry or anyone else he didn't trust.

      Which scores are you referring to? Metacritic gave it a higher score. As far as sales are concerned, on the weekend that the Last of Us 2 came out, it sold 4 million copies. Three weeks after The Last of Us 1 came out, it sold 3.4 million copies. If you are talking total sales, than you'd be right, but only because The Last of Us 1 has been out longer.
