I think that players originally liked Keranos better because it was easier to randomly either draw or remove small creatures with cantrips on top of your normal draw and, most importantly, use zero additional mana while doing so. Wizards adding more payoffs for enchantments entering play and token creatures in BG definitely improved Pharika but Keranos' bolt factory is better at controlling problem creatures than maybe blocking with deathtouch tokens. Wiping the board with Setessan Tactics or using Ulvenwald Tracker to scare off attacks in a deathtouch deck never gets old though.

shandalar already has it's own set! it was M15. that's why soul of shandalar is in the set.

Just want to add, regarding Dungeon Meshi make sure to check that your subtitles are the English sub and not the English dub’s closed captions. The dub and its captions omits some world building and that is reflected in the English dub’s closed captions. In case anyone is wondering, the reason dubs get less accurate translations is because of variable speaking speeds between languages. As such the localiser/translator of the dub is not at fault they did what they had to and were also the localiser of the sub.

I didnt see the original q&a announcement but I wanted to ask where do you get your ideas for your decks?

My answer to the Universes Beyond is actually the same for both questions: I was determined to hate all of UB, until I got to the Fallout decks. Scrappy Survivors is a pretty decent deck out of the box, albeit a little slow due to the huge number of taplands in the mana base. Junk tokens are a cool mechanic that work well if you have enough ramp and I wish had more support outside of the decks from this set. Dogmeat is a little lackluster out of the box he mills cards in a deck that does not have a lot of recursion, and the alternate commander in that deck, Preston Garvey, does not work well either as the deck is roughly half Auras and half Equipment, and his second ability only affects permanents with Auras on them, but the deck itself has a good foundation for an Aura deck. But putting Preston in charge after removing a majority of the equipment, fixing the mana base, and essentially mashing in the enchantment-based card drawing engine from the Virtue and Valor Wilds of Eldraine commander deck, then adding in a few of my own creatures and enchantments I turned it into one of my favorite Naya Voltron decks.

Huh. Curious as to why you don't like the dub- as someone who read the entire dungeon meshi manga and was waiting for chapters to release near the end, I've found it one of the best anime dubs I've watched.

Ok friends I had a ridiculous hand the other day, I have to share with other Rakdos enthusiasts.. First player to act. Mount Doom, ouch Dark Ritual ---> Lord Skitter. Exile Simian Spirit Guide ---> Ragavan Mox Amber ---> Vexing Devil. (One of my favorite political cards to threaten the table with. Just say "Look, whoever pays the life is getting crunched next turn" & nobody ever pays the life). Ornithopter. Make a rat token from Skitter (fail to find graveyard target). Hellbent turn 1 & Pass Jazzhands! Turn 2; Top-deck Sulfurous Springs, slam Judith pre-combat !! Make a rat token from Skitter (fail to find graveyard target). Swing 4/3 + 3/1 + 5/3 +1/2 + 2/1 all at the Korvold player for 15 damage. (exiling Deathrite Shaman revealed by Ragavan). Make a treasure token. ---> Deathrite Shaman. Turn 3; Deathrite vs. opponents Wooded Foothills ---> Hellrider Attack resolve MANY triggers, present lethal damage to Korvold. Kill Korvold player, handed them back the Deathrite Shaman & said "thanks for letting me borrow that, it came in handy". Now friends, the idea of going wide & it ever actually working or left unchecked in my playgroup is very rare.. Yet the times it goes off, personally I find there is no greater Magical adrenaline rush. P.S. There is also a really busted Rakdos card: Rankle&Torbran It has Flying, Haste & First Strike, when it hits can choose modes like: 2 extra damage from your sources this turn. (Judith pings for 3. Your go-wide army all has +2 damage so practically a mini Craterhoof) Everyone sacrifices a creature Making treasure. Cool, now put an Embercleave on it & Judith is now pinging things for 5! God Bless.

Oh my god, finally someone else who doesn't like the weird shiny border! I would absolutely play plenty of UB cards if they had normal borders, but mixing borders in my decks feels icky

And also, if you don't want your opponents to have a lot of 1/1 death touch snakes on the field, you can have an enchantment that makes all token creatures have - 1/ -1.

On the topic of Anafenza the Foremost, you only sort of mentioned that she's a 4/4 for 3, making her over rate! I threw together part of a list for fun that was just Abzan creatures that beat the vanilla test lol. I haven't finished the deck though, mainly because I don't know if the gimmick would be fun to play, or even noticeable for that matter.
