The best PvP map ever, unraidable for 3 years, IMO my 2nd favourite map I love Gen 1 and I'm not afraid to admit it.

Aberration is like a whole new game on its own, crazy fun.

Since they changed genesis 2 to respond to the community and their wishes like removing the worlds mission, there are hopes they change gen 1 on ascended

Cancel ASA and integrate all of the quality of life changes and new Dino’s into ASE and make the improved graphics a setting integration or versions of diffrent maps using the new unreal engine and ofc refunds. Or they can just bring back the ASE servers since there was no reason to take them down in the first place.

ASA > ASE and I'm sick of pretending otherwise.

The Megachelon does have a pve function: it passively produces rate flowers and i think rare mushrooms as well.

genesis ruined the game or at least changed it to much the creatures from genesis 2 were to overpowerd and overshadowed all the other creatures in the game and the built in tek suit on the map removed the need for farming this is terrible the devs should section of genesis part 2 from the rest of the cluster the shadowmane takes 0 skill to use upsetting many pvp players who are more competitive or another option would be to rework all the creatures as they are just to OP both maps changed the game for the worst removing the need to actually farm one last option finally would be to lock all the tames from genesis 2 onto genesis 2 so they dont effect the rest of the game and remove the farming ability of the tek punch its a shame really I wouldnt expect people to wish an ark dlc didnt exist but well thats the case sadly

None of that makes genesis “Failed” I could agree with the lack of variety on the map though, like each biome should have a boss just like moeder and more things specifically designed for each biome

As long as they they nerf the bugs in the swamps to make them less of a constant annoyance I’d be happy. Although I do agree on your points on the ferox, it’s whole element thing should be scraped

they should really added blood damaged to rock drake because people that claim fighting rock drake find him lame also his supposed to be the wyvern of aberration he also have the face of someone that deals bleed damaged

they should nerf the shadowman speed because even real aquatics creatures like ichtiyosaurs don't get that fast and also the shadowman is a semi-aquatic he shouldn't be faster that creatures build to be aquatics

2:14 that the case they already added that also i hoped that they deleted or stop making out-theme abilitys like for the magmasaur that is able to produce pheromons his literally steal the main ability of the pachyrinosaurus and what's the point to added this ability to the magmasaur its literaly out theme and there is many example of that were creatures steal random abilitys that is out theme and also i think this is why now creatures get find out dated because of capacity recycling for no reason and also i think that is one of many troubles that DLC'S creatures made

This is gonna be a dumb complaint, but the thing that always bugged me the most about this map is that you HAVE to buy element, you can gather massive amounts of it once you have a tek replicator, but you can't craft a tek replicator without element, which means you can't craft element without element. It's a really small nitpick, but it feels really odd that you can't get it naturally. I think there should be more boss missions like Moeder, we have X versions of the broodmother and the dragon, all they would need to do is give the megapithecus an X skin and they could add the island bosses to genesis and have them drop element. I think that would be a really fun throwback to the island, especially since we're getting a chance to replay the game from scratch in ASA and allot of players will probably be playing these maps in order, so it will have been quite a while since the last time they fought the original trio

I don't like how the biomes are broken up and how the later expacs were more and more sci-fi. I like the more primal vibe. Which is why I stuck to ragnarok

Genesis 2 missions were not all outside the map. A majority were in buildable areas allowing players to build over objectives, block pathways and even build turret towers along the entire length of the mission. At least Genesis 1 mission areas were mostly build restricted as they should be. It is expected that all the new maps will just be a copy/paste with a sprinkle of new assets as that seems to be the trend so far. Megachelon breeding deep needs to be removed. Don't even get me started on Ferox. They were always broken, did they ever fix the helmet equip bug?, they would antimesh themselves when they went tiny, their climbing was jank af. I don't remember anyone using them for anything once transfers opened. Now with the Pyromane the Ferox has lost all of its appeal.

It’s gen 2 that’s really gonna break the game :) you still need tames on gen 1, in gen 2 you can have a base turrets and everything you need in 2 hours or less just by yourself, lol that’s breaking the game

Having to do those missions to be able to complete the boss fights is the worst part of gen 1 and gen 2. See, there is a very large disabled community that plays ark, and we don't have the reflexes or other physical skill to be able to do many of those missions especially with online latency. At the same time the entire mission setup is what gives the genesis maps any unique flavor at all. So, removing them isn't an option either. I am not even going to try to put forward an answer since we already know this isn't going to change nor will the map get any major updates. Why do I say that? Center went backwards on map quality, as they have found mods + new dino is less work and can bring them more money. Maps already out still have huge holes in the mesh. But center is so bad I have literally swam a mosasaur through the mesh and back multiple locations.

I’m probably done with ark for good after extinction comes out. Having to do all the missions on BOTH of the Genesis maps to get to the bosses is stupid. Having a tek suit as soon as you spawn killed the fun for me when part 2 came out on ASE. The game isn’t getting the care it really deserves and the other story maps I could care less about. It’s an awesome game but can only go so far without proper support for it.

The trick is not to play PVP and just enjoy the game for what it is.

megachelon is amazing for PVE as a mobile base, you get oxygen on it's back underwater from the bubbles it makes and it's generating rare flowers in it's inventory, if I would change anything about it, it's removing the restrictions of needing to breed them extremely deep underwater cause wild ones don't even go there.

While i agree with the map suggestions themselves, i think you dont quite understand why the exclusive genesis creatures are the way they are. The bloodstalkers entire niche is supposed to be faced paced spiderman like slinging, and if they change that then it would become almost pointless as it would feel slow and disorienting due to how the camera works when slinging, and even when underwater they are still quite weak considering they got significant resistance and i believe even damage nerfs in ASE, so they are fine especially considering they have no saddle. I do agree the megachelon and the astrocetus were disappointments, but i think there are other ways in fixing them, such as making the astrocetus more of a heavy hitting tank rather than a travel mounts as thats the astrodelphis’ job. The whole reason the ferox requires element to transform is because of how ridiculously powerful they become, with extremely high health, stamina, and high DPS depending on your addiction %, theres also the rocks which allow for significant ranged capabilities, climbing which is already extremely OP, and the ability to dismount riders. Theres also a reason why they need to be high addiction to breed at all and why the time is limited unless you have more element, so if anything they should be nerfed and not buffed Personally i think we could use more biome variants, especially lunar as far as that goes. Definitely agree with the missions being more like gen2, i also think teleportation should be removed in place of the biomes being connected but that probably wont happen. The master controller as well definitely needs some balance adjustments, and i think wildcard should start with making the time limit an hour instead of only 15-30 minutes, and changing the requirements to work like gen2 with each difficulty requiring you to complete all missions in that difficulty rather than a set number. Also just to add on one more thing, i heavily disagree that ark has become to fast paced and i loathe slow flies, if it was up to me the astrodelphis and the tropeo would be about 2 or 3 times faster than they already are, as i hate having to spend 5-10 minutes from getting to one point on the map from another.

Abberation is my favorite map. It really locks you down to the map whereas others you can freely come aswell as go easily. This one makes you work for it unless you know it. One of the maps where you actually need to know tricks, and other things to succeeded up until you master the map, and get the mobility of a rockdrake.

The thing I loved most about aberration was that it provided an experience that could only physically be achieved on aberration, the map itself is the thing that makes it so special, no other ark map ever made has the natural progression of aberration. The only thing I can compare it to is the snow biome, you can't just go to the snow biome, the environment will yell at you and tell you not to be there, you can physically be in it if you want, but you can't actually properly traverse the snow until you're ready to be there

Got all my boss fights done been waiting on Ab ever since. Best map out there! No ryhinoganthia no flyers other than this new blimp thing it will be so nice!

What I’m scared of is that the pushed back the release of aberration by 2 months, which very highly raises my expectations

Too bad on ASA it's gonna be completely unplayable and crash the second I try opening the map just like SE and the center

2:30 I don’t know what you mean the basilisk alpha is rare, I find the reaper more rare, Just go commonly to portal and your sure to find one

Aberration was my favorite map back then. I hope they dont fuck up and mess up the spawns like they did with the center. The center was focused on its ocean and it's almost frikkin empty 😂😂

Ab was revolutionary for Ark back in the day. It was the coolest and most varied map on release, the Island was buggy and while it was the image of Ark it was quickly becoming outdated. The Center was too modded for many and was just an eh map, while scorched earth was amazing imo but was is only one biome and so many didn't like it. Aberration had so much, and was the first time the lore became important and affected the amazing creatures we got. Hopefully it does the same for Ascended

Trains are a pain in the fucking ass, they should be disabled on official pve servers. People spam that shit all over the place, claiming the entire map for the purpose of trolling with that shit has gone through the goddamn roof with that shit being added and you can't do anything about it with these f*ckers of wildcard support being paid merely to exist and therefor refusing to do their job! I *SINCERELY* hope they get disabled at least on abb, my favorite map, like flyers are.
