Right. Great video. Thanks.
Wtaf is that syntax
"Don't worry abou best practices" worst aedvice ever given a tutorial.
I like the part ... what is it called ? ANGULAR ? 😅
I'm looking at this video in Dec. 2024 ... yet the stats says it was published "2 years ago" ... in 2022? There are comments dated 2 years ago ... And the video title? "Laravel Basics 2024 ... " Wait ... how can you be talking about something 2 years into the future? So the title should be "Laravel Basics 2022" ... Changed the title recently did you? ... I briefly thought I was looking at something current! 😕
Laravel seems to be very smart, and I can understand why it is good for enterprises. I like the idea of standardizing design- and SOTA-patterns, even more. I know that this is an example to demonstrate the basics of its model view controller and the routing system with get and post. But the example would be so tiny in procedural PHP, that the laravel version is with 99.9999999% overhead. I think I have to watch some of your 4 hours videos to get familiar with laravel. I wondered if laravel supports real folder and file trees as data structures as well, as an alternative to databases. But it’s interesting.
This was a great video well done mate! Very concise and easy to understand
Not very useful
why?
I realized I didn't know what was happening about 5 minutes in and bounced.
Thanks, I already knew a lot about php, html, mvc's etc. So having a somewhat faster tutorial was extremely pleasing.
That was awesome! Good pace and clarity.
Thank you for the video, I've being working with PHP for many year, but I never had the change to work with Laravel, your video is great and helped me to start some test projects and learn a lot!
Respect
Great job making this tutorial. Thanks and hope you continue to help more peolpe
Great video, tnx and subbed
easy-peasy! 👍 I'm putting "have worked on Laravel project" in CV!
Great tutorial, but I have a question. How do we send the mail to the user's email address when he signs up?
you just solved my 4months problem in 9minute 30 seconds. thank you so much
Best video i found in one day
Instructions unclear 😂😂😂
Basically
Very cool, straight to the point, no bullshitting video!
I always distance myself from anything that requires downloading dependencies. Only vanilla PHP and a little vanilla JS were necessary.
You missed the part where the user clicks on save item when the input is empty. It causes an error. But overall thank you
I am learning PHP and subsequently Laravel for my new job. This gives an excellent quick overview of Laravel so it's now more motivating for me to learn PHP because I know where I am heading. It's well explained and you are an great teacher! thanks
thanks a million
excellent video for beginner and experience also.
Don't you define all of the attributes/columns in the actual model? Do you need to do that in the migration script?
Thanks! This tutorial was exactly what I needed to get started in Laravel.
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for supporting me :)
Amazing tutorial! Thank you so much for this
Awesome :D
This is freaking perfect. Thanks man for the video 👍👍👍
Undefined constant "App\Http\Controllers\id"
you see: (Bla Bla Bla... ) 59 sec. it works! Was this difficult? Done, now you can do it yourself! Sorted! What a waste of TH-cam Space!
Great tutorial! Thanks @@mattsocha8754. I have no previous PHP experience, but was able to successfully follow along and finish the Todo List app without any issues. I used the latest versions of the various tools: PHP v8.3.4, Laravel v5.7.0, Composer v2.7.2, and MySQL v8.3.0. To get my Mac setup with laravel and mysql, this video was very helpful: Laravel Beginner tutorial | Complete Guide to Install Laravel on macOS (th-cam.com/video/uXnNRFLX9JI/w-d-xo.html).
Perfect tutorial and exactly what an experienced dev needs. Perhaps rename the title to "fastrun" instead of "for beginners" so real beginners would get a heads up.
You title it 2023 yet you released this video Oct 2019 A lot can change in 4 years (of this writing) so that title is misleading
Its 2024, and this is the "Laravel basics speedrun" i've been looking for, Thanks Matt!
Did u find any job
Thanks
Thanks! I was looking for an overview type tutorial. I also looked at those 4+ Hours long videos. Then I found this.
every year you change the title? kkkk
how to send email from different email addresses in laravel
nested form in not working
Interesting, I decided to take it a little step further by switching between marking it complete or not during the save process by process of guessing (it actually worked to my astonishment), as well as a small amount of styling (strike through) for when it was complete. It would be interesting to see how i can take this further for when I wish to completely delete it from the DB. But ill save the above last part for future viewing. Great tutorial for a complete laravel newbie
This is excatly what i need to know about laravel. Thanks for the video.
You say "button" like an Indian person speaking English. How'd that happen?
Like Bri'sh person*
laravel 8 on 2024 ??
Well explained. Thanks
Great video on presenting a quick way to help someone understand Laravel with a simplistic project.
Best tutorial ever, I learned a lot in a short period.
