A TA at my secondary school saw the Concorde take off from Newcastle over his house and he said it was Beautiful

What s Really Impressive is that the Concorde needs a much longer runway generally than the one at Newcastle,! Yet, the pilots land it and Fly it out with not even 2/3 of runway used! This tells me that only Noise Pollution was the main reason for it not coming to Newcastle on a regular basis. (These things were as loud as they were fast! )

Beautiful! And excellent camcorder work 😊 We never went on holiday as a kid, but my dad would take us to Newcastle airport to watch everyone else go on holiday, and I loved it. Seeing the planes was magical enough for me, and to see Concorde as well was the icing on the cake. Amazing times ❤️

This Concorde now sadly rots at Heathrow airport. quite depressing

My dad was high up in the chronicle in the 80's and brought Concorde to Newcastle, I was lucky enough to sit in the cockpit as a young lad and play with all the buttons. Beautiful plane, this video is very nostalgic for me. Thanks 👍

Landing is such an integral and exciting part of a flight that usually makes people go quiet and be thoughtful! I could hear a women chatting away continuously and didn't flinch when the plane touched down...rabbi rabbit rabbit!

You're right. It's not the "traditional Shar Pei type". I like the traditional type with less wrinkles and narrower muzzle. But Lola's a nice-looking dog.

@greensidemags Technically there's two runways, in aviation terms. One airstrip but depending on direction of take off roll they are classed as Runway 25 for westerly and Runway 07 for easterly.

there's only 1 runway at newcastle
