Good impression, not bad at all actually, but then listen to an actually recording of the same songs by Karen and you will notice a difference, but not knocking this lady.

The vocal tuning bothers me a lot, unfortunately :(

I was fortunate to see a few of The Carpenters performances at Disneyland. Toni here does a great job of honoring Karen's vocals.

I’m a huge fan or Tori and have met her and Sally at the 55th, in April. Both are charming wonderful women with a deep love of Kacie. Toni sounds wonderful and I can feel her deep love, also. Harriet and Chloe, also. It’s a love fest and not truly a competition. Some are closer than others and that’s fine. Some maybe are more theatrical than others, great. It’s all good and the bottom line is be nice and praise them for keeping Karen’s spirit alive for us. Though an OG Carpenters fan, I never got to see Karen and Richard in concert. I got to be near Richard and in the group shot with him. (My shyness prevented me from shaking his hand etc.) I’m good with what I did have. A once in a lifetime opportunity. Joe

Just like Elvis tribute artists, I have yet to hear one with THAT sound, but they are very good. We will never have an exact Karen Carpenter duplicate, but Toni Lee is very very good and has nearly duplicated Karen's voice. I remember when Karen Carpenter was alive, she had to endure constant criticism and bullying. She often did not even sound like herself because of her health issues. I'm glad there are singers bringing attention back to Karen Carpenter, she deserves it. And don't forget her brother, Richard, the true genius behind the Carpenters sound.

You can hear the electronic pitch control in her voice. Its so obvious.

I'm a pro musician with a traveling band. I met one lady that could do it but she would not tour because of her family. God she had Karen down. Karen #1 female vocalist of allllll time

Tori is has more richness and depth...but it's all good....kudos to any singer keeping Karen's memory alive! We were students at Long Beach State.

Toni is one of the best singers singing Carpenter songs. She sounds very similar to Karen Carpenter. The other one that is close too is Tori Holub. I appreciate these women sharing their talents to us to be able to enjoy the Carpenter songs, just like Karen Carpenter sang it.

I think she is brilliant I have been a Carpenters fan since the very start and she is amazing keeping Karen's legacy alive

How about Tori Holub?

The intro says "Toni Lee is Karen Carpenter." I get that it's a business and you want to promote yourself in the best light you can. I think you do a great job at singing Karen's songs. It's just that Tori Holub is as remarkably close to Karen Carpenter that it's almost scary.

It doesn't matter if she doesn't sound exactly like Karen, she sang those songs the way they were meant to be sung. No improvisation or fancy squawks make it great.

There is another vocalist that is even closer IMHO . . . Tori Holub

Listen to Tori Holub instead. Much better, in fact Tori is a reincarnation of Karen's voice.
