UPDATED Review/test of Rep Fitness Rack and Comp Bench
One of the best videos to recap the important points.
Nice video, I guess you’ve already encountered injuries, how did you dealt with going back to that movement? For exemple, I’m scared of loading a 70kg deadlift bar
Will squat in a few hours. Straight up go for the 300kg
Won't the walking/cardio tire you out before a squat/deadlift session?
Loved the video, especially the mindset part. It is such an important part in powerlifting, but often seems neglected. I'd really like to get a copy of that ebook please.
keep making this content, so so good man, helping me a lot
Thank you! Uploading every week from now on
Amazing video this is exactly what I needed, can I get that mindset ebook????
Absolutely!! Drop your email so I can send it
do this for bench gavin
I got you
Really sound advice, mind set so true.
thank you!
Not sure if you'll agree with this, but this is from personal experience. I try to space out my steps hours away from my heavy squat day. So if I train at 5:30pm, I'm doing cardio around 11am and then again some time either after or before my last meal, but usually after. I notice when I do light cardio right before I squat, my legs "feel it" and I'm 33. Idk if it's because I'm getting older haha Thank you for the tips though. Still trying to increase my numbers because I love this shit!
100% agree. I always do my cardio after I train, and I try to have it be as spaced out as possible ESPECIALLY if I'm doing a full 40 min
@@GavinAdin I know that's right haha You're an inspiration man. I'm sure you get told this a lot, but we're all rooting for you brother. 🤝
Bro...
Keep going love the content very interesting
thank you!

Man this video got me so juiced
AHHHHHHHHHHH
Love and respect from india❤ .
700 lbs ? back in my day I used to do this for amraps on candito 6 week
Candito is goated
@@GavinAdin idk bro ( hes great but not for me) the linear program worked great but the 6 week i didn't like because of the asynchronicity
Love the messages on mentality
glad it resonated with you man
15:23 tell your ex how much you miss her 😭
What were your best lifts at this time? Great physique
Now that I have a great coach (at 41 years old, try not to think about what could have been), I'd like to hit a 501 squat someday in the future. Also may have a shot at the 40-44 year old WR deadlift at 198 lbs in 100% Raw!
@@Lift4Christ83 dude YES. No doubt in my mind that it’s beyond possible. Dave Rick’s is 60+ years old I believe and is still squatting 661+
@GavinAdin Yeah, Dave is a monster! The WR deadlift at my weight class is 672 as of now, and the guy was 48 when he pulled it, so there's a chance I'll have a shot at that too!
Amazing advice. Thank you Gavin :)
thank you for watching!
I'm interested on reading the mindset ebook
@@JesseLifts23 what’s your email?
I'm listening to your video while I'm getting my steps in but I'm walking in nature 😅
SMART MAN
Great stuff here. Let’s drop the bench and programming
I got you
You know the video will be top tier if there’s a whiteboard in the back

Very glad to see such a high level lifter putting informative content like this. Thanks man!
thank you for watching!
damnn i couldn't squat 700 if i took all the roids in the world!! lol..
Jus started peaking for qualifiers for Asia this helped me a lot man it sounds so nice hearing advice from someone in my weight class but at the top
Wow man! This is the greatest powerlifting tutorial I have ever watched! We need more of these videos💪🏻
Thank you!! Got more on the way🔥
I would love to read your mindset ebook!
what's your email? I'll send it over
Love the content
thank you❤
Keep the videos coming, love the long format!
Thank you!!
Thanks for the content.I think we can break the Accessory work into : 1)Specific Accessory Work-Like for squat specific accessory can be Anderson squats. 2)General Accessory Work-Leg Press can be general accessory for Squats.
I would like to read your training mindset ebook pls🙏🏾great video
@@yg1084 drop me your email and I’ll send it over asap!
I have a better idea...... "TREN"
Appreciate you and the team Gavin. I'm 3 years deep in training and on the cusp of 600 and getting ready for the journey into the 7s, thanks for inspiring, informing, and everything else
that's amazing!! I remember the first time I ever truly hit 600 was at my first nationals back in 2019. I had a mental block with 600 so I had to take 612 in competition haha. I'm excited for you man, best of luck with training!
Based on the quality of your contents, your channel deserves 1M followers.
This comment means a lot to me, thank you. Someone told me I wasn’t providing enough value in my content, and they were right. So going into 2025 it’s a mission of mine to flip the script and make sure I provide as much value as I possibly can. Grateful you took the time to watch!
This is stuff that more people should listen to. Pace and time especially, great advice hope to see you move big weights in future comps
Thank you! Grateful you took the time to watch. Definitely excited for nationals in April
I was waiting to see where the rice crispy treats as a pre-workout came into play
haha A TRUE DAY ONE!! we've got to catch up soon, would love your input on this content
Love this 🐐🫡✍️
thank you!
If I don’t squat 700 after this I’m blaming you
If I don't squat 800 I'm blaming you for blaming me
Bruh haha@@GavinAdin
There is no way this guy is natural though
@@panos9277natural enough to pass the drug tests
@@panos9277 I am indeed natural. Although my federations drug testing is pretty hit or miss in terms of frequency of testing, I must say I’ve been tested a ton of times both in competition and randomly at my home lol. Granted I know that doesn’t expunge any and all chances that I could still be using stuff but, my drug-tests are the only “hard” evidence I can give you. Everything else is me just telling you things I know to be true, that I hope you believe.
appreciate the tips. definitely a fan of this longer form content. going to send to my friend who maxed out squat 2 times within a week before he went to italy
haha definitely send this to him, that man NEEDS it lmao. Appreciate your feedback, I've been enjoying making this type of content tbh
Amazig Video I really enjoy your content
thank you, we've got a lot more like this rolling out!
This is so underrated. Great video, keep it up!
thank you!
This is what I need right now. Do you have any advice for someone like me who has been randomly experiencing knee pain during my heavy squats? How do I get rid of it?
Im no Gavin. But doing wall sits during my warmups helped me.
Tricky situation. First, try to assess where the pain is, what kind of pain it is, and how you ended up here. Take a look at your previous training, think back to any specific moments when the pain began, which movements exacerbate it, etc. Next step would be to use that info to diagnose the issue, though honestly I would see a reputable PT or doctor in conjunction with drawing your own conclusion. After that it's just a matter of creating a gameplay to both heal and improve symptoms. Knee TKE's are a great exercise for general knee discomfort, but tbh it really depends on what's going on. What feels like your knee could actually be your IT band, for example.
I joined WRPF for my first powerlifting meet back in April 2024 then signed up for a second competition on Oct 19th but during that time WRPF announced that they were changing themselves into PLU (Powerlifting United) which threw a lot of people off for the random change on social media. Still got to compete for my second meet but under PLU federation. I’m looking forward to do a third meet under USAPL when I can. I’m aware their rules are lil more stricter and they only use an Ohio power bar, but itching to get that pressure for a challenging experience. Wish me luck!
Thank you Gavin to share these lessons with us. Greetings from Germany.
Danke! Thank you for tuning in! I've actually been learning German with Duolingo haha. Du bist sehr nett!
