Thanks for putting out this video Denny! You are unlimited! Oh wait...did I just infringe on The Ride and Laugh podcast trademark....lol you're podcast with Sage has gotten me listening to their podcast too and it has been helping my mental outlook on life and riding so thank you for putting me onto that. I am confident that you will overcome the struggles you're facing right now, and we know all to well how the winter blues compound the situation. I understand how it can feel when you aren't feeling into the ride and on top of that you planned on making a video...that always stinks, but I think you did a great job of being honest with the community. Keep humanizing MTB!

Where is this at ?

TRUE. Sometimes the effort of loading the bike, getting all the gear on, driving, riding, going home, unpacking, cleaning the bike, doing laundry (because it's way to muddy right now in the PNW), isn't worth it. Other times I push myself to ride on those days and it's the absolute best thing I could have ever done for the mental... such a weird dichotomy to navigate.

I love ninham! But yeah I get this 100%, very hard to ride in these types of conditions. The worst is when the snow is melting so everything is slushy, yet still amazingly cold. Spring is coming up....within the next few months

For me a lot of the time it is the fact that I can’t drive so I’m not always able to get riding. I also don’t have many riding buddies…

I ride to the end of my street in my sandals and pajamas and sometime that inspires me to put my bike shoes on and ride to the local park. I totally 'get' the feeling when you don't have the feeling to load up the bike in the car. I'm just laughing now that this showed up in my feed! I can't even get my tires on because the rim tape is messed up and then my pump valve wouldn't work.

Watching the video again, i actually liked your first video more. I can actually see what is going, i can understand the steepness and features more. The max lens on this video has some major distortion problems. It makes everything look super flat.

Want to conquer this. I believed that if you could ride blue mountain tech you can ride any tech, until I realized that this tech is much different than blue mountain. I will probably get humbled lol

Trails like this scares the crap out of me. To me crashing here would hurt me more than crashing at a high speed smoother section. High speed sections, you just keep rolling or sliding. These areas, you are going to land on a awkward angle or get tangled with your bike. Also you really need to trust the grip of your tires riding on top of all of those off camber rocks.

I can vouch for ewok village being wonky in terms of speed. It is easy to overshoot everything the first half then undershoot the all the big ones in at the end.

My channel only has 74 subs and my riding is mediocre at best. Whenever I find a channel with few to little subs I always subscribe to them and also give a comment. I’m much more likely to subscribe to a small channel than a large one with thousands of subs. My 2025 goals: ride new trails every month and work on adding B rolls to my videos

While we're at it, I'd like to share the channel 'Dead Foot Adventure Crew'. www.youtube.com/@AitchYXE This is not a big shredding kind of channel, instead, the focus is more about the content creators 2 sons, captured mainly within the BC bike park scene. I started binging over a year ago to get caught up and man, how these kids have progressed is pretty dam impressive. It's so cool how you can actually see the improvement over time. It's clear that a lot of effort goes into producing these videos, so they're worth a look just for that alone! 👌
